Glad we at least have the wiring sorted! That starter clutch doesn't sound happy at all. Really unfortunate how much work it requires. Regardless thank you for that support Cy!

I’ve owned 6 or 7Motorcycles over the years of the sae Vintage and Years mostly due to i love their overall Styling and that part of my Life the late 70s ,early 80s was a excellent time for myself some of those Bikes i bought New at that time and others i picked up Used for great prices i couldn’t refuse the overall recurring problem i ran into on the Japanese Bikes was the United States ones had to be wired to run the headlight in the Daytime or whenever the Motorcycle was running the issue was the Manufacturers did not upgrade the charging systems therefore the light being on all the time became a sow overall drain on the battery and over time you wound up with a low or dead battery on some models they did sell the Bikes with a Electric Start and a backup Kick Starter so you could manually kick the engine into a Start the Issue was with Electronic Ignition systems the Motorcycle didn’t run very well with a Dead or Low battery what i personally always wound up doing was installing my own Toggle Switch on the Headlight and for Daytime riding I left it off yes it was against the new DMV Laws , and if i got caught by the Law i just acted like i accidently forgot to switch it on and showed the Officer it worked by turning the Light on with my Switch i think the Law changed in 1981 or 2 because i bought a 82 Yamaha Special brand new and kept bringing it to the Dealer who always said it’s within Factory Specs ? i bought that one to use as a Commuter for working Night Shifts if i got the Bike home i could charge the Battery and it took about a month of Commuting to wear the battery down to the point i had to Kick Start it and after a while i could tell how the Motorcycle was running or the sound of the Electric Starter if the Battery needed a charge ironically i bought my very first Battery Tender and they came with battery leads that had a quick Connect / Disconnect Harness you could just leave on the Bike and didn’t need any tools to pull the battery out etc just my two cents i’m actually very Jealous of your KZ as that’s one of the few Motorcycles i never got to Own yet i grew up inSouthFlorida and we had a localMotorcycle rental shop that had the KZ 1000 i rented many times to do long Day Rides with a Group of freinds and there was always something about the Suzuki bigger Fours that were very nice to hear and ride along with the Honda Fours in which i’ve owned several a 650,750 ,and a 1200 i always liked the sound , Power to weight ratio and the Overall Balance and Gyroscope affect those larger Fours brought to a Motocycle i think it had something to do with the Mikuni Carbs and their high Low Adjustments they always seemed to stay inSync ! those Motorcycles always looked and felt like they were Proportionate especially riding Solo !

It is completely Built but I never got it to run unfortunately. Should have done a "will it run" video to start. And since there is no title I kinda just gave up on it.
