Sorry, common sense wasn't used when picking a colour for the font of the text overlay!
Scotty Kilmer the stock bugs are great ,this one is crap ,it breaks every 3 miles down ,is disgusting, ugly and it will turn you deaf
Scotty, I drive standard transmission Honda CR-V 2015 in Europe, in particular in Belgium. Yeah it's a bloody diesel 1.6 i-DTEC, my question is not about the engine that you probably never saw in the US, it's a general question: If we take all generations of Honda CR-V and all generations of Toyota RAV4, was Honda CR-V at any point of time better then the RAV4 ?
@@type2523 I'm sorry You don't like my car... I built it for me!
This is my favorite show off Sunday video
Herbie Fully Loaded
@Fok yu for that you'll have to buy 100 grams of crack
Herbie the Love Bug. Does it come with Buddy Hackett?
Have it clear coated to preserve its classic look!
I think he likes it just the way it is.
@@SerPurple51 No, boiled linseed oil
Rust the worse enemy.please clear coat
exactly what i was thinking in my processor as well
@@cafeshakti looks heavily waxed.
I wonder if this dude actually expected us to be able ti read those captions...
Dude if it doesn't care about the paint on his card think he's going to care about the color of the text?
What captions?
is it weird that I immediately fell in love with this folks wagon.
Payam yazdi no, not really. Everyone likes them, even Mr tiny mustache, as much as he was a person full of hate, rode in one
Very cool car, I think the outside looks great you can call that color "Camo Rust". For the guy that sent the video I would advise to change the font's size and color so it is more visible, I could barely read those tiny red letters, awesome car though!!
Definitely don't paint it, looks great just like how it is.
I had a few bugs in the 80's all Bundy Yellow, miss them.
alright.... confession time. where did you bury the bodies?
@@dyingculture1
Right? That actually made them unpopular for a spell because of all that. They were hard to sell!
Glad they've resurfaced and we could watch this video.
😎
Maybe you should have took better care of them they would have lasted longer!
paint , no paint, inside n
underneath it all, this bug
has it all.......all that matters....
Al Bundy's cars were Plymouth Dusters and they were BROWN
Imagine losing to this Beetle at the drag strip...
It's a sleeper
There's an STI conversion beetle in my town. There is No shame in loosing to an enthusiast with a quicker car.
Edit : Or just bring a can of Raid.
When I was much younger I remember a guy who put a V8 into a VW Beetle. It took up the rear seat area. It was stupid fast and dangerous. The whole body would twist if he floored it and it would do wheelies. You couldn’t really control it with more than half throttle. It was cool to look at but a really bad idea. LOL
Mighty car mods did a bettle build awhile back too and it rekt the modern bettle .
. .a Privilege to lose to . .
Dang!! That is one sweet Bug!! Great build!!
never waxed since 1963
That car is awesome! I love it when people make those bugs fast. I'd love to build one
OhighO Skater
The question of why comes to mind😀
@@moparchallenger749 Because sleeper
150% more horsepower than stock, so about 35 HP
Steven Hill ha!
It's basically a souped up lawn tractor. 😂
The wallace racing calculator it would run high 11s in the quarter.
stock dual carb 1600cc bugs developed 65HP (in Brazil at least)
Lol
That is an awesome ride! Great choice this Sunday.
Vatos locos forever ESE 😎
Videos are always amazing
Not really a "sleeper" with all of the stickers though.
Exactly
Brandon Wright they give the beetle +600 horsepower, it is a well known trick
That's a quick bit! Opening shot made me expect an engine swap!
Well done sir...
WOW ...... Freakin AWESOME VW .... I like that he KEPT the old car as is (body wise).... It looks GREAT, and ROCKS the road as well :) :) :) :) :) :)
Great both people ran a stop sign making a right hand turn.
My late Dad had 3 beetles in a row. Up here in Toronto the salt got too them before any of the mechanicals wore out. They just wouldn't die. Great in the snow also. Love your bug. Enjoy!
The patina looks great on the car!
My very first car was a 1967 Beetle.
My very first car I stole was a 1967 Beetle. Small world, right?
Dam badass Sleeper Bug in my own back yard. Tearing up the streets of Pomona California that's what's up. Glad you featured this car on the Scotty Channel.
I want one of these.
Sweet ride 👍🏻 AWSOME
Awesome V-dub!!
Now that's a pretty cool sleeper
That's an amazing beatle.
And I love this channel.
That is fabulous!! I'll bet its a blast to drive.
David, dude that is a real sweet 'Ol School bug build. I think I saw you cruizin' down on 7th and Valley a couple weeks back. By looking at your beauty I never would have thought it was that QUICK ! ! !
THAT was awesome.
That’s awesome! I love it
That thing really takes off.
I love the stance of this car and the thicker sidewalls on the tires. Nice job.
Very Very Nice man!! 😊👍
Nice car, nice build, one hell of a motor bro. From a fellow so cal dude, Enjoy and be safe.
Nice Mods!! Good car for California where there is no cold winters.
Way to go David!!! Awesome video, really proud of you. Expect a call from Jay lenos garage next buddy!! And that’s no lie compa. VW FOR LIFE!!
Saw some Ford Escort rally cars (European ones) while stationed in Italy in the early 90's. Dam those things zipped around like they were on rails. Buzzy sounding like this VW.
...had a Ford escort in UK ,it was 1.3 litre stock engine ,took it to 110mph and decided not to push it for that extra 5mph. It was a 4 speed manual !!!
Cruising the Streets oF Downtown Pomona. Awesome video.
Best thumbnail 😂 😂 😂
The sounds of that bug going full throttle... just wow!
This is the Cat, you want as your neighbor, he'll run you to pick up your parts just hold on!
Super Cool Bug- yeah, like the looks too-
Back in the 80s when i was in So Cal there were a lot of shops catering to VWs where you could get the parts and have the machining done. Not so much these days.
It was a pleasure seeing a nice runner again. I love those flat fours!
Great video! Uploader had a good choice of music without it overwhelming the commentary and vehicle sounds.
I'm so jealous of this vehicle. That's awesome dood!!!!
Love the paint and patina!
By far the best !!! I want it !! Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why screamed lik that "run up your engine" 😂 😂 😂 👊🏼
Very nice!
The craziest thing ever saw was a bug event at the drag strip, bugs were running low sevens powered by twin turbos with wheelie bars, amazing.
Wow what a beast! And a sleeper
It's the little bug with a big STING!!! Good job David.......👍✊
Team "Make it Nasty!"
What up David? Nice video.
Great Ride there young man ! I would be very PROUD to own a excellent ride like you have ! Looks like El Cajon Ca!
Awesome. Great old school, made out of steel! Wish I still had my 1965 Bug I bought in high school.
My 66 Bug had those same yellow headlights courtesy of the 6 volt electrical system. Love these cars.
Clear coat is all it needs, It's a beauty just the way it is! Thanks for the video.
Love it!
Beautiful. Simply Beautiful.
Awesome car, love the patina and full house motor!
Hi Scotty!
Been watching you for years! Thank you for all of the tips and lessons!
I’m about to buy my first car ever, what do you think about the 2006 Lexus is350?! I wanted to get your advice on it before I buy it!
yo that’s Pomona, CA I’m from there 🤘😎
Inspiration for other Turds worldwide!
Sounds better than modern muscle cars.
Because noise regulations maybe....
Not really, nothing beats the sound of a rumbling V-8!
You need your ears checked.
So that's why modern Chargers sound like plastic junk? Cool, thx! That V-8 sounds great until you hit the gas. Must have been a 6 then. Not technically a muscle car i suppose.
Most classic engines sound better than most "modern" cars.
Very nice!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Sweet ride!!!
Too old to have a check engine light
Didn't need one.
thats a sweet ride
Cool honest car. I'd rock something like that.
Very cool car, I like it.
Nice Beetle. I really like the work put into the engine bay. It seems to be really clean throughout too. The engine tin is more important than most people realize but it looks like he has the most important pieces in place. The body seems to be in great condition as well. I'd prolly leave it as is myself. Not that my opinion matters.
Herbie got some power nowww
Its gorgeous bro
love it!
Awesome!
Here in my country, we call this Wind Beetle.
Beautiful!
Hey Scotty, What's your opinion the new 2016+ Chevy Volts? I hear they're pretty good and reliable because the ICE doesn't get used up as much if you mainly charge it; therefore, less parts wear out and engine bay stays cool and parts do not break as quick. Thanks!
Timely given that the Beetle was recently discontinued. Good on him!
Different and I love it.
Nice!
Perfect sleeper. Only thing giving it away is tires, license plate, and sound of the raspy engine. Nice ride. Wouldn't change a thing.
Cool as hell! Dude was funny too!
Wow very cool
I kinda like the look of that beetle. Faded and rusty spots gives it character
Hey Scotty! Move over Herby here comes the Wild Bug. Lots of fun.
Love the 60s type 1
Absolutley SICK beetle!!
Thats one fast little beetle, did not see that one coming.
In Southern California, back in the day, you could get everything for a VW Bug, Karmman Ghia, Notch Back (Type 3) etc. At Johnny's Speed and Chrome (Anaheim Ca). Unfortunately they went out of business a few years ago. They were open for 40 years.
I drove a 63 Beetle once a long time ago, had a little problem at an intersection with a vw stationwagon, left a nice dent in the door frame with my head. What ya call a career limiting experience. But I loved that bug. Didn't have this kind of power but went through the snow like a jeep. Too soon parted.
That bug really has a lot of character.
Best one yet.
great vw love them
Hey Scotty I have a 1999 Lexus es300 and my Cataytic converter went bad is it ok to get a cheep one or should I just get new ones?
Nothing beats mighty car mods beetle
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet! Cheers from Mike in Fernwood, BC
Love this car.
This vintage gold. Love it
wow, nice Bug.
I've got a question for a video about headlights. In the old days when a headlight burned out the other one would get brighter, and when you replaced the burned one the other was weaker. Does that still hold now with halogen lights? Is it better to replace both at once? Thank you for the great advice videos.
Faster you go brighter they got if my memory serves me
