I've shared a Hanbok Dress sewalong video before but the pattern has been discontinued (SADLY!) so I'm sharing a new tutorial for Hanbok Skirt today! This quick video was made based on the photos in the original instructions in order to make this pattern more understandable for non-Korean readers and sewists. :) Hope you find this video helpful!
I LOVE Your modernized hanbok dress, but also the skirt...... I should start with the skirt, which I bought your PDF pattern for today! There are few things more confidence building and lovely than your sewing channel. You are also charming company - a caring presence and voice. :) Thank you for being a wonderful person and teacher.
hi Sara. I've spent a lot of this week watching your videos on the Hanbok dress and skirt and am nearly finished. I was originally going to make it as a dress but now decided on separates. I made it with my own tweaks like box pleats rather than those you used but love the ribbon and belt details. I thrifted a curtain that I loved the fabric from. Am thinking of doing some embroidery on it too. Love your videos too. Thank you. Bx
This was very helpful and informative! I love how clear you've made everything to follow, I am so excited to be able to make my own! Thank you for sharing such a lovely video :D
Hi. Thanks for the tutorial. I searched corean sizes and l think that l am a 66 (38-40 European). My cuestions are: 1) am l right and 2)if so, how much width of fabric do l use for the skirt? I will be using pleats of 6/2 that is two centimetres folded over the 6 centimeters. Thank you!
In the video it says to add a 3/8 inch seam allowance, but the video shows the English version having the 3/8 inch added. Is that what was available when the pattern was available before and now the purchased PDF pattern does not include the 3/8 inch same allowance? Thank you. Finally starting to make this beautiful skirt.
The skirt looks beautiful and relatively simple to make but there are no indications of the size of any of the pattern pieces. Are these measurements available somewhere else? Cheers, and thank you.
Can anyone answer this for me? On the SKIRT PATTERN, the directions say to cut four 4-inch by 23-inch pieces for the waistband. ?? The video clearly shows either one or two pieces for the waistband. Please help me out; what am I seeing wrong??
@@SewingTherapy I'm watching the one these comments are linked to. The Sew Along Tutorial. My main question is the pattern. And why it asks for the four pieces for the waistband?
As someone who does not sew, this is not a good video for beginners. I still have no idea what I'm doing. Maybe an actual video would help instead of just images? The photos are all confusing.
There’s another video about Hanbok Dress and it also shows how to construct this skirt, which can help you more! Sorry to hear this video is not helpful for you!

I love this kind of patterns! and your tutorial is very clear. Do you think there is a possibility to have the pattern in PDF?
Sadly, this pattern doesn't have a version in PDF though!
Thank you.
Beautiful! Thanks for the link to your husband’s music channel.
Enjoy! :)
That is lovely.
Nice, thank you

Please refer to the pattern and the size chart and fabric requirements chart in the instructions.

This old printed version didn’t include seam allowances, but the seam allowance is now included in the PDF pattern.

Is there a guide for a shirt from the model from the end of the video?
Thank you! But sorry! We don’t have the sewalong video for that shirt!
can anyone tell me how much fabric we need
😀new hairstyle
Yes! How do you like it? :)

Can you share which fabric you used to make this skirt?
I didn’t make this skirt but the fabric looks like a cotton oxford.
Lovely. Is this pattern available?
Yes, it is! The link is in the description! If you can't find it, let me know! :)

You are watching a wrong video! 😅

@@neschoonmakerCould it be for either the interfacing or for the two different fabrics style? Did you figure it out?
The skirt pattern doesn't seem to be available anymore, alas...
The printed pattern has been discontinued and I’m working on PDF pattern! ☺️
@@SewingTherapy thank you!! Looking forward to it :)
You didn't give any measurements
Please puchase the pattern for the measurements.
