I've been down here my whole life an I've never seen or heard of hydrilla being a problem, only for boaters. The more hydrilla the cleaner the water but yet the govt likes to step in an mess everything up thinking they are here to help. I'm so happy I found ur channel.
FWC is becoming a monster and they have lost their focus on the original mission for their organization! I used to be a part of this organization but now I'm being shunned because of my Common Sense approach to dealing with these problems....
They've been doing various things nationwide to drive out and/or kill off other fish, birds and animals as well. Not only in the wild and in commercial animal agriculture, but more recently, they even began going after smaller privately owned deer herds, ducks, chickens etc. bred and raised on private land. They're using bogus illnesses as the excuse. They insist the animals be tested, will claim a single one as testing positive and then require they all be killed to "prevent spread". The same thing is being done throughout western Europe, Australia and New Zealand as well. The commercial food supply has been under assault for over 2 yrs being deliberately decimated, but that's not good enough. To achieve maximum famine they need to eliminate peoples ability to hunt, fish or purchase from private small farms as well. Since its not widely covered by the media (controlled information), the masses are completely unaware about any of it, so they'll believe whatever lies they're told when the shortages and lack of wildlife becomes more obvious. Which I'm CERTAIN the "man made" CL!M@T€ lie will be used as the ultimate reason for it all. That's a whole other can of worms. Something that actually goes through natural cycles, but is also being manipulated. The literature that supports it is available online for those who care to research it.
All you have to do is plant mangroves. They grow well in fresh water. I have mangroves planted along the shoreline of my lake. If anyone sprays herbicide and kills a mangrove, it is a crime. You can stop the spraying if you wanted to.
Better tell your neighbors to stop fertilizing their lawns. Better stop driving vehicles. Need better drainage and runoff methods. Better not have a septic tank at your home. I hope you don't swim in swimming pools, they're loaded with chemicals. Water itself is a chemical. Spraying may be contributing, but there's SO much more that is killing the lakes, and yes everyday people, like you and me, are part of the problem. Additionally, Hydrilla overtakes the native submersed plants and creates a monoculture. It will never be eradicated but too much is bad. We need more, Coontail, Southern Niad and Pondweed.
How can we get this people out of their positions to stop them from killing our environment, I went to Kissimmee Lake last week and was dessapointed that I couldn't see no fish around the edges. Where did our fish go ?
@Kabuki KitsuneMaybe just move it to the land where it can't grow??? 🙃 Nah, let's just spray it all with herbicide and let it all rot in the water and deplete the oxygen levels. 🤡
People don't know any better, they do think we are stupid (majority are, Dunning Kruger). The rest of Florida either doesn't know or doesn't care and is too infatuated with the potential for short term profits. Hey, it's not our problem!
Matt should be made to eat the fish out of the sprayed lakes and swim with the dead gators... If he doesn't get sick, he can keep doing it. If he does though, he should quit his job immediately.
Wait a minute-wait a minute- Wait a minute!!!! they’re chopping it up after spraying? don’t you think it would be smarter, sensible, and cost effective if they would just pick up the unsprayed Hydrilla, take it to land, chop it up and use it as fertilizer?!? And Isn’t spraying poison a crime? Maybe we could all get them to resign?
@@WitnessingTyranny Anthony's comment is referring to mechanically removing aquatic plants, he's not referring to the illegal dredging of the shoreline.

Not becoming. Has become. They basically do whatever they want.
Gov overreach in general. Not just Florida.

It's clear to me that the objective is to make sure the spraying company is well paid.
ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY.
I am
Literally in shock how horrible fwc has become. It’s managed by land developers and we wonder why the wildlife is all dying.
What you need to do is find out who wants to develop the land around the lake and then you will know who is responsible.
This needs more attention.
The most dreaded words ever heard "I'm from the government and I'm here to help"!!!
Amen

They kill manatees and don't pay for legal price, you think anything would happen if they killed mangroves? Lol! Nope.
Good thinking
Bunch of chain laid up where they are cutting with that machine would go a long ways.
Can we get the FWC board to sit on the pinocchio award?
Chemicals should never be put In water ever

Wow so basically they admit to this disaster. Smh.

Hope Matt has long thought while sitting on his award.
Your comment and clear position on the subject matter will be clearly noted
If animals could talk there would be alot of law suits
Test the water privately!
Good work.
We are the goverment and here to help
this is a super great video imo
Simply put, political corruption....Just follow the money.
Those plants would make great fertilizer. Why poison when you can harvest?
@Kabuki Kitsune chop them and compost?
They could be harvested chopped and composted. The enzymes, bacteria and heat from the composting will render the plant material a valuable resource.

The FWC should hire you
Can you put a match to the methane gas?
When will the FWC finally listen to the tax payers of florida? Who do they think they work for?
The corporation’s!
Criminal
Ron DeSantis needs to stop this
Desantis is making profit off it.
Why are you guys not taking this to Federal Court and if it doesn’t get past there take it up to the Supreme Court
My best bass was in hydrilla infested water 12lbs
so sad
No it is not, the fish like to hide in it.

If your maually removing thats fine its when they start dumping stuff into the water
Until they went into someone's private pond after destroying the berm? That's not fine. Btw, there are 2 previous videos with all the context.
