I had the mamba TE, and the sensor would freeze all the time. I was lucky that it never froze at important gaming moments, but it was still very frustrating
I had a warranty and traded it in for the elite, which i am very happy with, but i really wanted to know the difference.

To fix it I rubbed alcohol on the bottom and used compressed air in the sensor
Bro same! I just got my Mamba TE and its good but on the downside is that the sensor would freeze everytime I play games :(

Very nice video. I liked the comparison between both so you could see for example that the LED is improved. I had the TE a while back and the sensor was really weird and even broke down completely after a while, but otherwise it was an awesome mouse

I used the mamba TE for 3 years and i am a fps player. I never had a freeze issue with the mamba i did have strange lockouts but they went away. And it has not happened recently only when it was fairly new. I am currently buying the mamba elite since the TE has its buttons degraded to the point that they have to be pressed harder and harder to register commands. Tbh i love this mouse and i must have been one of the lucky few with a good non freezing mouse like others said.
Yea you must've been one of the lucky few. It seems like everyone who's had this mouse experienced something bad with it at some point. Anyway, it looks like it's time for a new one. The newer Mamba Elite looks like it'll be perfect for you.

Good video. I've had my TE for a few years but am constantly getting freezing in important moments in games atm - nothing fixes it, infuriating! Definitely feels like it has a mind of its own sometimes as you said. Wanted to see how similar the Elite was, hate changing mice.

The design looks nice, it has the best scroll wheel in my opinion, the perfect shape for my hand and the side buttons feel great.(Sorry for my bad grammer, English is not my first language.)

ive used alot of razor mouses but the only thing they actaly suck at are indeed their scroll wheel lol, its never been up to par with other gaming mouses, the one who got the best scroll is the g502 aint even debadeable, because if you like razor scrolls you like cursairs,sowie,and all non metal logitechs mouses scrolls because they are nearly all the same rubber and cheap which does not fit perfect

The TE was my first mouse when I built my computer 5 years ago. I've been looking around for a new mouse and nothing I can find is as comfortable as it is, I think I'm going to get the elite. Thanks
Trust me, its an awesome mouse. The scroll wheel isn't as great as the TE, but the lighting and sensor is just amazing.
I think I have the only working TE in the world lmao. I've had it for years not a single problem with the sensor. My friend came to my house and I was showing him my setup and I let him play and he said "Oh this is the mamba elite right?" Then I told him "nah that's the TE" and he didn't believe me because he said he had the TE before and it would freeze and then he looked down and was surprised to find "Mamba Tournament Edition" written clearly in there

Does razer ever take back there products if I buy them from a retailer for the same price you bought from because I got my tournament edition for $80 can I get my $80 back after like years?
I've had MANY issues before with my Deathadder after maybe 6 months, and they've offered to replace it if I sent it to them. I ended up just buying a new one like I always do because who the fuck can go mouseless for a week. This might not be as big of a problem for you, so I'd go to their support and ask them. (Usually if you make a big fuss on twitter and get a couple pals to like and retweet it, and you @Razer, they'll help you out)

Sure is a great mouse. The biggest difference is the sensor. The one on the Elite is much better and more reliable.
I have the mamba TE and have constantly had problems with the sensor. Mamba Elite arrives in a few days, hopefully it fixes that. Otherwise perfect mouse.

I have the mamba TE and haven't experienced any problems and feels accurate, saw the new elite and was planning to upgrade mine but.. I don't see the point if my TE still works pretty good :/ plus it looks almost the same. Actually I didn't even knew that is has a laser sensor till this new Elite came out xD
I can buy a elite for the normal price or a te from someone that things its to big or small for 50€. I tested the te and it works like new. I think il go for the te.(here in the netherlands the elite cost 100 and the te cost also 100)

I have used mine since day one, and damn ..... i loved it but i have SO MANY PROBLEM ! First, scroll wheel is junk, i had to desolder it and change it for a new one, and after 3 years, my left click feel like cardboard. So i change the micro switch for a 50M omron. The older one was a 20M. So you can notice that they also changed the micro switches for 50M. The elite is coming in 1 month, FINALLY :p
Just got a new Mamba Elite, but the LEDs (especially the side strip) is noticeably dimmer than my old Mamba TE! That's strange... Maybe I have a defective one?
i was afraid of moving from a deathadder chroma to an mamba elite because of the previous mamba's issues, but i got it and it's the best mouse i've ever owned so far. not changing it so soon
I have a wireless mamba 2015...It had problems till I changed the mouse pad to a cloth type, and no more problems.

I have been using my Mamba TE for years and gonna go buy a new one. my Mamba TE has the random-sudden nonresponsive problem (but would work again after like 5sec) from time to time, and there was a period of time when I started using Synapse 3 (beta) my Mamba TE would go completely nonresponsive (lights still on just no movement of cursor) and I had to replug the USB port to make it work again. it was so frequent that I had to contact Razer customer support and I received a firmware update to my Mamba TE then it won't go completely died, but still, the random-sudden nonresponsive problem would occur from time to time. I don't know if it's the sensor's problem or maybe interferences or static charges that are messing with the mouse. I'm thinking about buying the Mamba wireless and there is also the Basilisk (that Razer advertised towards FPS users, and has the thumb extension support/area that I found kinda useful on my Logitech MX Master 2S)... so kinda entangled to choose... I like the look of Mamba more and it has the wireless version... um...
I had the same problems 2 years ago and bought the mamba tournament again but it does the same thing with my new one. (used the *new* one for 2 years..)
@@RCrom yeah I've heard that some people have the same problem with Mamba TE. Mine is that if I have the cable in the "right" way then the mouse seems to stay good; if something is not "right" with how the cable lays then the mouse may decide to "play" with me. recently I contacted the support again and I've been told to use Q-tip and isopropyl alcohol to clean the sensor (they have this "solution" written on their webpage too), I did it and not sure if it would help or solve the problem.

I've had issues a couple of times with my Tournament Edition over the years (very rarely), but performing a reset (I forget which buttons you have to hold) has fixed the issues for me - like sometimes any micro lift off would just freeze the mouse for a second or two which is completely unacceptable in gaming. It's interesting that they seem to have killed off the TE now, I wonder if it's just really out of stock or if they did it to force more people to their ultimate edition?¿

It's possible, but it's designed for right-handed use. There are other mice made for left-handers.

Many people had that issue with the TE. The Elite version doesn't have any of that and the sensor is better. Unfortunate timing...

Dont buy the Mamba TE! I have been playing with it for 2 Years now and it was horrible... sometimes my cursor stops moving for 0.5 sec and moves again or even stand still for 4 sec, most of the times when I am playing R6S or just a game in general my mouse switches out of nowhere to my secondary this is really annoying.....
It's same sensor like Razer Lancehead TE or different,.??

Old Mamba TE is the bull Sh*t! I was use her for the 1 month and damn this time and this fkng Philips laser sensor. Later i sold her with no lost of money i payed, and was pretty happy (Now i use mouse with Pixart 3360 sensor). Suppose sensor in Mamba elite PWM 3390 is just a little tuned 3360. One thing.. Mamba's body was most comfortable i ever used :)

Steelseries Rival 600 is better in my honest opinion. It has 2 optical sensors, the lighting is beautiful and it feels so good to use. Best gaming mouse alongside Zowie imo. Zowie is too plain which is kinda bad because I like good performance and sleek and nice looks. Razer is just looks :( I used razer products but they just don’t last long :(

@@smokeyd300 yea mine is 2 years old too also once you use the mouse for awhile and start to sweat on the grips they become slippery. Also like you said the sensor sucks it stops working sometimes,I have the razer mouse pad as well so this should not be happening.

I had razer mamba TE for about a half a year. I would say that was the WORST mouse I ever had. It had sensor issues all the time at most random moments. Not firmware update helped, nor calibration. Now have trust issues with razer in general. Went to steelseries rival and not coming back.

Also I don't use that mouse pad anymore. I still have it but it's put up. I use a 5 foot 3 inch mouse pad. It's a full desk mouse pad from my Arozzi Arena Gaming Desk.
Oh yeah my Mamba TE has problems here and there too. It's the sensor/laser that makes it have its problems.

there is a mamba wireless with optical sensor, but not as cool as the elite, from what i've seen it doesn't have the light strips on the sides
