WHAT BOXING GEAR WILL BEGINNER'S NEED TO GET STARTED ❓

For those of you just getting started in boxing here is a quick list of what you will need for your training gear!
1) Boxing or wrestling shoes
2) 180 inch hand wraps
3) Bag gloves
4) jump rope
5) Custom mouthpiece made by dentist
6) duffletype gymbag

Thank you Coach, your videos have been helping me in life and with my own mentality too. You've been inspiring me and motivating me to keep developing and to even try and join a boxing gym. It's a bit weird as a girl and with my mom standing against the idea it might be more difficult but I think I want to at least practice in my room!! My dad has a heavy bag but I'm scared my technique is literal "ass" lol. I'll stick to getting fit for now!

So wrestling shoes can also work for boxing? Wonderful, the place I get all my other sports gear from doesn’t have boxing shoes but they have a good variety of wrestling shoes. Thanks Coach!

Wrestling shoes are more sticky, if you like bouncing a lot i don't recommend them.

Is it “ethical” to walk outside of the gym in your boxing boots or you just put them on for the ring?

Great question, we don't allow any shoes that have ever been worn outside of the gym so boxing shoes can be worn in the ring and on the floor in the gym but not outside!

In training most guys wear sweat pants or track pants. Or they just wear competition shorts even in training.

Good stuff Coach, you got it covered as usual, thanks. Oh, this is not a must have but those little deodorizers to put in your gloves really make a difference and a set of tennis sweat bands, they really keep thing much dryer and you don't walk around smellin like A$$

Depends on your weight class for competition but sparring we use 16 oz
