I've always loved leather too and thought my first proper glove upgrade to celebrate my 1 year of learning muay thai would be leather ones, but after seeing so many microfiber options I was a bit lost. but of course you'd have a video for this exact dilemma! this video gave me a lot of insight and things to consider. instant sub!
I'm a lady getting back into boxing. Your video is the best: educational, direct, and supported by actual use and experience. Truly grateful for you taking the time to educate us all!
I am so glad to hear that! That is my goal at the end of the day! Give people answers I wish I had when I was getting into the sport. I hope it saves you time, money, and pain!
Thanks for this! Speaking of the Everlast Powerlock, the Powerlock 2 is out. Would love to hear your thoughts on the synthetic vs leather pro version of the gloves. 🙏 Loving your content, advice and reviews. Keep it up!
@@combat_corp Welcome! Thanks for your hard work in creating these video. I think with sustainability being much more at the forefront, alternative materials like cactus and microfiber PU actually does quite well in the same job for boxing gloves, especially for bagwork and mitts. It would be a waste to have so much leather gloves produced and yet each is only used a few times by people jumping into boxing fitness classes. Affordable synthetic gloves would be better for such applications too. Just my two cents agreeing with what you said. 👍😊
Why doesn’t this video have more likes ? Come on fellas show some love to ol boy and like and share ! This don’t make crap off this channel and does it to help us not get robbed ! Great video! I'm actually thinking about getting those Captain America Hayabusa gloves. How are they holding up for you after all these years? Are you cleaning them with your leather cleaner or just using Lysol wipes?
My biggest issue with glove durability tends to be the bubbling under the surface material. Does leather or synthetic make a difference in keeping the padding from disintegrating?
BRO i have ringside same gloves i have hayabusa gloves about 11 eleven years i want to buy new one but thie one must be this time leather do you advice that gloves ? i
Hey there! Question about maintenance of the leather. Can you link the products that you use for your Cletos? Do you use tea tree oil wipes on them to desinfect? Thank you!
Been thinking about getting new gloves. I have 4 brand choices in mind because I'm still a beginner. In your opinion, what is better? Twins, Fairtex, Venum or Hayabusa? I do Kickboxing and use 12 oz gloves. Hoping you could help me out! Cheers! Happy New Year as well!
Hm. So Venum to me is one of those brands that you need to spend a good amount to get something decent right? Kinda like the MMA version of Everlast. They have AWESOME professional equipment but the lower tier stuff is meh. Fairtex gloves don't often have as good of knuckle/wrist support as Hayabusa does. Twins are great puffy gloves for anyone and great for knuckle support and the wrist support isn't all that bad. Hayabusa for me has an overall better response from most folks that use them. I've honestly not met many people that don't like the t3s by Hayabusa and for good reason. I guess my further question would be like your body type? Do you have soft hands? Do you get injured easily? What is your wrist like? How often are you punching? If I'm going with the info you've given me, I would go with the T3. Great for kickboxing and they are great for clinch work too. The only thing is the interior lining is very absorbent. You'll need to clean it a bit more often than the fairtex/twins lining
@@combat_corp thank you! I've been eyeing Hayabusa recently because of its reputation and it seems that it's worth it. Thank you again for answering, It really helped. Also, I'm a 165 cm, 150 pounds so I'm pretty heavy for my size. No belly and pretty muscular so your response was a great help. Thanks! Cheers to more amazing content!
@@combat_corp hii do you think the gripbar from hayabusa feel awkward? It’s difficult to make the good fist using t3, so when you make the impact, you can’t do it 100%. But love to use it for sparring and feel soft for my sparring partner. Thnx
Just bump to your channel and boom nice instant subscribe. I have a question. I have an Everlast elite prostyle training 12 oz and bought it around 2k18 and used it like 10 times, but due to the pandemic I didn't use because we had lock down here in the Philippines, and cannot go to the gym. But when the lock down is removed and I can train again in the gym, when I use that glove, it has it's leather fall off. Is synthetic gloves like that, and what should I do to not that happened to my future glove again?
Hey, love your channel btw, I am buying some winnings, do you recommend the leather care wipes or gel. I have a pretty low budget after spending $400 lol
Great Vid thanks for all the info. I'm looking to get my first gloves and have weak ass knuckles was considering YOKKAO or fairtex (BGV11) which would you recommend for a first pair with that extra support?
May I ask, sir, is it better to practice every day with pedding or a punching bag, genuine leather or synthetic leather, sir, for long durability?im from indonesia
im going to start doing matches soon what type of boxing gloves should i use on a reflex bag sparing gloves heavy gloves or what ans what ounces im 5,5 and about 130
whats going to do more damage is all i wanna know can u link me some or tell me some good gloves my price range is up to $120 i wanna box people in them and use them on a reflex bag
@@combat_corp How often would you suggest to use the leather cleaner and conditioner, I got two sets of gloves that I rotate and train pretty much everyday, I got the water baby wipes for my new born that I'm using to wipe down gloves after training thought these maybe less reactive with the leather than anti bacterial wipes?

Is crazy that Hayabusa most expensive gloves are synthetics

Great explanation. I was on the fence and this vid really helped me decide.Hayabusa T3 on the way! Thanks
I think is the best video about gloves material so far, very interesting and helpfull, thanks a lot Buddy! Big hug from Brazil

Ringsides are perfect if you want that recoil / pop on the pads or heavy bag
Agreed! I love Ringside! One of my favorite brands out there. Their gloves work for just about anybody in my opinion
@@combat_corp do you think those r better than Castro Reyes? In terms of pop
I have the Fly Superlace X and the Fly Superlace Premium Gloves and yes you're right
Was looking for info for baseball gloves, but this video nailed most of the questions I had anyway.
I like the cactus leather on the new Adidas. To me in feels stronger than the leather on their previous models.
Are those the tilt 350s? I want to get those soon!
@@combat_corp yup, fantastic for sparring! On the bag I still prefer Rival or Reyes. Fantastic glove. Got them on cyber Monday for 134.
Amazing video! Great indepth explanations!
First great video al 💪🥶

Lysol wipes work fine! The cleaner I use (leather honey is good for microfiber leather too!
@@combat_corp How long have you had the t3 captain americas now and how have they held up in terms of padding, stitching and smell?
Honestly your really underated
outstanding explanation, really appreciate this!
Do you have a video on how to upkeep microfiber gloves?
Great content bro. Can you do a comparison between the rival rs100 and rival rs1 ultra 2.0 sparring gloves?
My biggest issue with glove durability tends to be the bubbling under the surface material. Does leather or synthetic make a difference in keeping the padding from disintegrating?
I think that mostly depends on the Foam/filler used. But since leather is more maluable (flexible) It Will maybe last more unlike synthetics.
BRO i have ringside same gloves i have hayabusa gloves about 11 eleven years i want to buy new one but thie one must be this time leather do you advice that gloves ? i
Bro please check the fairtex bgv26 gloves i havent found a review at all 😭 theyre synthetic leather and i dont know if theyre good leather
I cannot find a website for Furry Elite. What material are those gloves typically?
