PANAMA'S WATERFALLS: the 5 most beautiful undiscovered waterfalls

- In this video we show five beautiful waterfalls, that are virtually undiscovered and that you can get to quite easily. We always had a car, but there are buses that can also take you to the trailheads.

Hi! I was reading that it's about a 3 hour walk from Santa Fe to the town of El Salto, but the trail to the falls is short one there. Did you do that walk or did you get a guide from the town? El Salto and El Bermejo are my favorite. Thanks again for the video
El Salto is actually about 11+ waterfalls, and all trails will be done with a guide. When you arrive at the town and start looking for the trail, you'll pass a house. This is where all the trails start and youll only be allowed on the trails with a guide. Depending on what you want to see and do, you pay and start on your adventure! And yes, the walk to El Salto is quite long- but once you're there, theres waterfalls everywhere :)

I’m planning a trip to Panama and it hasn’t been that easy to find the right info, lucky me I found your channel, I have been watching all your videos, they look awesome 🤩
Normally when we travel with my husband we rent a car to go different places for a hike and to visit as much as We can, I haven’t found that much info about how is it in Panama to do it in that way, but it seems you guys did it like that, Was it safe to go for hikes on your own? We like to do everything by ourselves, so I’m wonder if is possible in Panama without a guide.
How you did it to get to Bocas del Toro? When you went to all these waterfall which town you stayed?
I hope you can help with this, I’ll really appreciate it 🤗

Hi Catherine! It means so much to us that you watched the videos and that they mightve been useful! The answers to your questions:
1. Yes, we always felt safe hiking on our own in Panama. We tended to do some research beforehand, especially on the most 'known' one El Pianista (I made a special post about this one on our Instagram I think). We did all the hikes unguided though and really always felt safe!
2. We went to bocas del toro by taking the road up to Almirante and by taking the ferry to Bocas. For us it was worth it to take the car with us, as we stayed for 3 weeks in Bocas. Depending on how long you will be there, taking your rental car might not be worth it.
3. There are 3 'hikingvillages' in Panama. Boquete, Valle de Anton & Santa Fe. We found most waterfalls in Santa Fe, we stayed in La Qhia eco hostel (in Santa Fe).
We LOVED having a car in Panama to take us to the hikes. Panama for us was the best hikingcountry in Central America, and by far the easiest to just find beautiful hikes all around. A car is usefull since it brings you right to the trailhead, but taking buses could work too!
