We need more community notes on these post. Like Connor said, people post those baits to farm engagement for money, but if your post is community noted, then you're not earning anything.

I deleted my account and I think a lot of people don't realize how utterly unusable Twitter is when you're logged out. It's bad enough when you're logged in, but when you aren't, it pops up a login box constantly, doesn't load replies, shows everything out of order, etc. It's incredibly useless to the point where I actively avoid links to Twitter now.
Which is ironic considering that initially Musky wanted to nuke the login popup and make Twitter usable anonymously. Now its gotten much worse.
This, I never had an account and would use it passively if my friends sent stuff. Once the new blocking measures went into place it became totally unusable in any capacity. You can’t even see the original tweet of what you’re viewing is a reply. I made an account and tried out X for the first time and like another commenter said all I got fed by the algorithm was rage bait posts, posts reposting memes full of OF girls advertising, and irrelevant nonsense. The search function was also totally busted so when I went to go find people I liked if I didn’t have their actual handle I couldn’t find them. Total shit app.

it's especially egregious when it's the only place i can check our local emergency responders' feed 🙃 can't check it anymore bc logge out i either see nothing or tweets from 2017 only
I deleted my account and made Twitter delete all my info about a year ago. I don’t regret it in any way but it’s annoying because you cannot even view tweets anymore without being logged in so sometimes I’ll be on a different platform and they’ll link to twitter for a reference or a video and I literally just can’t see it
And that’s why community notes exist

Me, who genuinely doesn't like the solid chocolate at the bottom of a cornetto 😐 . Like I get, it's to stop the ice cream from leaking out, but it is kind of crap and sometimes I just throw that bit away.

I actually don't like the chocolate at the bottom of the cornetto though, it leaves my mouth dry at the end, I'd buy a cornetto without that chocolate part if I could (actually not a bait, this os what I truly feel)

Not just that, everywhere on twitter has these bots that commenting nonsense like "great news" "i like that" ....
Yes i know every social media platform nowadays are ridden by bots, but twitter is worse since all the bots somehow have blue checkmark.
Stuff like this feels like it's everywhere. Lots of posts on Threads are made to farm engagement. On YT, videos contain intentional mistakes for engagement bait.
When i see bait on twitter i simply block the accounts.

Yeah but it's alright if you only use for anime and focus on tweets by those who can constructively criticize and love the same anime. But other than sharing hobbies with others who care, this all of these stuff and people that make it hard to use. I always used it for that reason and that's pretty much the only reason I use Twitter. There's always going to be chaotic people on any platform. Not just Twitter. Don't get me started on RUclips comment sections of anime videos
My god that end with only hard chocolate is such garbage always turns me off like I just want ice cream not 7th rate chocolate from Bangkok

Elon Musk single handedly making Twitter completely fucking unusable in like a year is genuinely impressive, it's one of the only things he's actually accomplished by himself and I'm very proud of him

I'm laughing so hard, can't believe there's people who thought that twitter was still usable until it became about money, now THERE IS a practical use for twitter.
Twitter is quite usable actually. You just gotta follow the right people. There's always going to be those who don't know what they're saying and generally being chaotic but there are still genuinely people on there. You can still mostly share your hobbies comfortably with people and download anime art of course etc. You just try to ignore any possible chuck which from my use isn't that much. However, others experience much more of Twitter's bad side than it's good side. Though, the Twitter blue thing is silly.. I'm not buying it but sadly that does prevent you from talking to certain people in dms
