A few videos back, you mentioned there would be a Tahoe PPV video coming soon where you will highlight the differences between SSV and PPV. Is that still in the works?

The main difference is the PPC is pursuit rated and sits a little lower because of that. Otherwise they are very similar vehicles.

Those side outer edges are a little overkill and just bad looking in my opinion. Replace that with some fascia mPowers under the spoiler and that would be nice. Otherwise, nice build!

Although I do admit, the dual outer edges are eye cathing

Well the lights are nice but when the costs of these devices exceed the vehicle base cost it is time to get real. Considering the cost to outfit any ES vehicle these days, radios, lights, horns and cages etc, is costing in excess of $20+K I think we need to re-evaluate these "christmas tree costs"! Too many salesmen pushing these products on local PDs and other EMS providers.

My agency just purchased a Christmas tree Tahoe. We use this truck as an R1 truck to get to the scene ahead of the ambulance and start patient assessment. We elected to go with the Christmas tree due to the extremely busy stretch of highway we have which is also one of the most dangerous in the state and the roads that we have in town. Many are very narrow with high speed limits and sharp corners. The Christmas tree allows us the ability to get to the scene faster and to warn motorists earlier. Granted you could argue the moth effect etc. but for us we have found that more lights equals higher safety.

So in other words it is NOT a coroner's truck....it is a first reponse a rescue unit?

This particular agency butchered and liquidated an entire fire department. They had it to spare.

Peter, we dis agree but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinions. When products are purchased correctly like we do we have seen many of times were our installs can run 5 grand on average but we have already seen 15-20k cheaper on a hand full of builds. We think a lot of this area sales are driven if sales guys work off of commission, which by the way ours do not. We buy product in bulk, have special pricing worked out and give fair labor rates for installation allowing departments to affordable effective responding emergency vehicles built to what the customer feels their area is in need of.

The US should just start putting hi viz vehicle markings and chevrons over the entire vehicle like they do in Europe. That way they can get away with less lights and save money.

J H agree to that, and blue lighting, look at the Dutch police cars, they are very visible

Most of the graphics are reflective. As for light colour, we love our red, not sure why, however in my city, everyone uses red and blue, which gives the best of both worlds.

The ems squad should be reversed in my opinion so that it can be read left to right when looking directly at it

It's like that so you can read it in the rear view mirror
