Peter M I work for a department with no extra funding. I'm in a 7 year old cruiser with shoddy equipment and 250,000 miles on it. I would love for budget to be re allocated from a department that leeches the money to spend on frivolous shit.
I'm with you on that one! Too many departments are fleeced while others waste money on bells and LEDs! Too many LE personnel are left driving junk cars around while other departments buy every light and whistle they can get their hands on! The priorities are screwed up!

It's a security vehicle. Security personnel are usually prohibited from using red/blue lights in most states.
Why does it have a push bar???? This is used for medical emergencies. It will cause bad injuries in the case of accidents with pedestrians.
It's a full-size SUV it's gonna cause injuries if it hits someone, bar or not.
They are also used to push disabled vehicles off the road
