In case you are wondering WHY the suit melted his flesh, here’s a basic explanation: the suit has a healing protocol made to find damage and weakness and heal it. The suit eventually decided that human skin is entirely a weakness, so it starter to replace it with metal skin. Eventually, it dug wires onto Tony’s brain and controlled him like a parasite
Reminds me of the backstory for the Tin Woodsman from The Wizard of Oz. Born as Nick Chopper, he was your run-of-the-mill lumberjack. One day he fell in love with a maiden and strived to work hard in order to gain enough money and eventually wed her. Unbeknownst to him, the maiden was a servant of one of the Wicked Witches. The Witch did not want her servant away from her and so she cursed the lumberjack so that whenever he swung his axe, the only thing he hit would be his own body. The first time this happened, Nick chopped off his left arm. "No big deal." he thought, then he visited a tinsmith and get the missing arm replaced with a tin one. Then it happened again and he replaced his body part again. And again and so on. Until his whole body is made of tin. He now needed an oil can to keep his joints from rusting. One day he forgot and was caught in the rain. His whole body rusted and he remained still as a statue for an entire year before Dorothy found him on her journey.

@@fr0ck360 God damn your right, they really should just make this into a what if episode. Maybe they could have a crossover between this Ironman and the super zombies.
This story sounds very familiar. There is a constant enemy in a show called Doctor Who in which humans create an 'upgrade' where everything inefficient is eradicated; weak flesh, brittle bones, interfering emotions. Essentially the cybermen became their own zombies, converting all to the steel bodies and iron emotions, until they had an empire.
I remember in the earth x story tony was utterly afraid of the destructive potential he’d unleash if exposed to the terragin mists. So he locked himself in a giant mansion sized suit of armor that was air tight, regularly sterilized, and locked away from the world save for the iron avengers, and communication waves (also Scott lang and his daughter). If this was the result of what would have happened I would say he had every reason to fear what would happen.
This is why you need elseworlds/what ifs and alternate universe stories in general. It’s just super interesting and you can do cool and in this case terrifying stuff with it.
@@optimusprimefanboy It's not harmful content. For one, these are actual comics. You gotta remember that. This is cartoon gore, which is totally acceptable for older audiences. So I'm guessing you're like, a little kid that stumbled onto this. Secondly, this guy does say it's pretty extreme. And it is. But this is what Marvel and DC puts out. Even their movies can delve into blood, violence, and gore. So is THAT harmful content? It becomes mainstream EVERYWHERE.
I want more horror interpretations of Marvel heroes. This was one was awesome. I’d love to see a BrightBurn version of Iron Man. We’ve had enough evil Supermen.
Ooo here's an idea! Thor where the hammer gets damaged in a believeable way and ends up overloading when he tries to use to zap lightning at someone, where it ends up zapping HIMSELF. So much so it reduces him to charred remains.. But it doesn't kill him, breaks his mind though.
I mean considering how badly the suit damaged his body, yeah I would have to agree with Tony don’t take off the suit. No turning back at that point. Definitely didn’t have to do it to everyone else though.
Reminds me of another very similar comic, Iron Man: Rapture, where after getting an artificial heart Tony becomes obsessed with cybernetic enhancements and keeps cutting off parts of himself and replacing them with robot parts. Eventually he becomes Stark 2.0, with his brain implants having completely replaced the original Tony
I think what disturbs me about this story the most, what genuinely kind of upsets me to think about, is the way it kind of pivots. Because at least going off of this synopsis, the way it seems it's like "oh fuck Tony is turned inito this flesh monster inside the suit, what a tragedy, they'll have to put him down", and then it turns into "actually no he makes more of these fucking things and the story ends in what is presumably an end of the world zombie apocalypse."
Ok I really need to stop my brain from thinking. I saw the thumbnail with Iron-Man an all the white liquid coming out and read "What's wrong, *pervert* ?" instead of "What's wrong, Pepper ?"
I’d hate to see the avengers have to fight Tony like this, but this is likely before they become a team. Dear lord image what the hulk buster would look like on hulk with his skin being melted. Then again, mating hulk’s healing factor could prevent the suit from doing too much damage? Maybe Tony would be still smart enough not to endlessly piss of hulk by melting off his flesh.
Would the suit consider hulk’s skin a weakness? It seems to be stronger than earth materials Well other than vibrainium and andima- antimu- the other metal of course
Took the words 'iron man' very literal there. Also I realized this is literally the same thing as Springtrap from fnaf. A skeletal zombie person inside a suit.

This was literally the 80's movie The Fly. Like, EXACTLY. Dude turns into a horrible mutated flesh rotting human fly hybrid. First he's scared then thinks it's awesome then wants to make everyone like him. Except here Tony wins at the end, while the Fly gets f*cked

The way they integrate Tony's and Pepper's relationship is just tragic.

@@robotx9285 it could be a great what if episode
@@fr0ck360 God damn your right, they really should just make this into a what if episode.
Maybe they could have a crossover between this Ironman and the super zombies.
Just finished reading darkhold a few days ago, thank you for reviewing it!
Iron Man became a Cyberman
Just needs to start shouting "Delete"
I remember in the earth x story tony was utterly afraid of the destructive potential he’d unleash if exposed to the terragin mists. So he locked himself in a giant mansion sized suit of armor that was air tight, regularly sterilized, and locked away from the world save for the iron avengers, and communication waves (also Scott lang and his daughter).
If this was the result of what would have happened I would say he had every reason to fear what would happen.
Terragin mists?

It's not harmful content.

Perfect for Halloween. Thanks for doing this man 😊
I mean considering how badly the suit damaged his body, yeah I would have to agree with Tony don’t take off the suit. No turning back at that point. Definitely didn’t have to do it to everyone else though.
Me looking at all the white cream over his suit : "I am a grown adult. I am a grown adult. I am a grown adult."
This is absolutely terrifying, literally the last place I'd expect to see true meta body horror.

This is what comics are made for

I’d hate to see the avengers have to fight Tony like this, but this is likely before they become a team. Dear lord image what the hulk buster would look like on hulk with his skin being melted. Then again, mating hulk’s healing factor could prevent the suit from doing too much damage? Maybe Tony would be still smart enough not to endlessly piss of hulk by melting off his flesh.
Would the suit consider hulk’s skin a weakness?
