    Do you know what one huge problem is with most of these homes? The garage is the focal point. Totally ruins the whole exterior. I don’t want a home that emphasizes the garage. I want the house to be the focal point. It is a lovely home.

    • @jadedixon3641
      @jadedixon3641 8 месяцев назад +8

      Totally agree. The other issue with this layout with the garage in front is that you can't see the street from your living room. It's nice to have a window or two at least at the front of the house where you can look out and get a good view of the street. After having grown up in homes that were built in the 1940s or earlier and then moving into a house that was built in the early 2000's, I really noticed how downright scary it feels to hear something outside and not be able to run to the front window and check what's going on.

    • @ann2155
      @ann2155 8 месяцев назад +4

      @@kennethlrobinson absolutely. It took me nine months to find a floor plan. That fit my family needs. Where the garage is not the focal point. My plan has the garage to the left side of the home towards the back. Absolutely perfect. The home is modern farmhouse. With large windows. A full front porch. Without the garage, obstructing the view of the house. I can’t wait to get started with it.❤️

    My sister's home is like this except the two-sided fireplace is flipped, along with the built-in wall next to it. The second side of the fireplace is in the kitchen, and there is still room for a spacious island in the middle of the kitchen. What is used as an office here they use as a formal dining room (hardwood floors) and what is a parlor (that room with the second side of the fireplace) is a guest bedroom (no fireplace). What is here a dining room is the informal dining area in their house. The deck, patio, living room, placement of basement staircase, and ceiling are very much the same. Downstairs they have a huge family room, storage area (which is rated as a storm shelter - Nebraska) 2 bedrooms, large bath, and that unfinished corner (that you mentioned could be another bedroom) is a movie/media room - with no windows, it's perfect for that.

  • @stevenkaskus6173
    @stevenkaskus6173 8 месяцев назад

    Like the top floor very much just don't need all the extra bedrooms and stuff that is down stairs. Just a partial finished basement maybe with a 1/2 bath and small bar area.

  • @cocokai9661

    I love all these homes. They're beautiful. But they all have the exact same kitchen. Back wall range, island (usually with sink) and side wall refrigerator. And of course, the kitchen and living area are the same room. When I was young kitchens were often separated into their own rooms. I miss those days! One person could be in the kitchen, banging around, and others could be undisturbed watching TV or visiting in the living room. I really hate this idea of having one large living area and no separated spaces. I don't want to see my kitchen from my living room. Oh well. We live in the era of the 'open concept'.

    I'd want either Pocket door's for the master bathroom and the hall access to other bedrooms and even have one made for the Sun room/Den.

  • @ImBooX2
    @ImBooX2 8 месяцев назад

    I like it as toured but I'd not want to pay that much for it. Seen similar for almost half the price. It needs Half Bath's both up and down. Needs a good size Guest Coat Closet, the one by the 1st Bedroom should be a Linen Closet for bedding and for the Bathroom needs, like all the towels and wash clothes.
    I'd sure like a larger Master Bath with the nice shower but also a tub...and that Toilet Closet is small and closterphobic. In the plans the Master Bath area and Master Closet are bumped out, bump it out more.
    Basically make this place worth what they want for it.

    The floor plan is one of the better designs I've seen from Eastbrook. It is also staged much better. I cook so I will get nick-picky here. Hiding the microwave in the pantry is asinine IMO. I use the microwave often while cooking. I like all my tools in easy reach. I would have a double-bowl kitchen sink. I want warm, soapy water readily available to clean and sanitize as I cook. A clean kitchen makes your food taste better. We eat 1st with our eyes. Yes, I would have a microwave downstairs along with an ice maker and a cooler. A one or two-burner induction cooktop would give big game days in the rec room a tailgating atmosphere. I like this home.

    First few seconds I could tell you that the developer wasn’t an a-hole. He didn’t put trees in the front yard or anywhere for that matter. The developer in my neighborhood put those god forsaken Bradford pear trees in everybody’s front yard too close to the concrete driveways and walkways and they cracked the cement.
