Hello! I’m back to posting content normally now and I really wanted to touch on my recent TTC journey so far first before continuing with regular vlogs.
In October 2023 I found out I was pregnant and 24h later a scan showed an ectopic pregnancy. I had expectant management and we took a break.
I fell pregnant again end of April 2024, and another scan showed an ectopic pregnancy, in the same fallopian tube and in the same place.
I had surgery for the pregnancy, tube removal and an ovarian cyst whilst they were at it! And I’m now in recovery.
I really wanted to share this talk as I appreciate how isolating and scary both ectopics and birth loss can feel. Hopefully this makes some people feel less alone!
If there’s one thing to take from this youtube, it’s to always trust your gut instinct (and act on it), to advocate for your own health and to listen to your body.

I just want to say I think it's really great that you've shared this story. A lot of stories around this subject are, understandably, very sad or traumatic. I think it's very helpful for others to see this and see the hopefulness and gratefulness you have throughout your journey. It's also a great lesson in knowing your body and understanding your health. Wishing you all the best for your future journey to conceive xx

Bless you Mollie. My daughter went through your second experience a few years ago. Physically she healed well, however mentally it took her longer to come to terms with what she'd gone through. So dont put pressure on yourself. Cry if you need to. Thankfully my daughter's in a completely different place now and, thankfully, a different relationship and when, or if, the time comes that they want to try for a baby she will be much more informed. Thank-you for this brave blog. Love to you and yours. X

Ectopic Pregnancies are not spoken about very often which is why I'm fervently looking for similar stories like yours on RUclips. I had an ectopic pregnancy over 5 years old leaving me with one tube. It's a hard time to navigate through life afterwards, having more questions then answers........We are now trying to convince natural without wanting go down the IVF route which is what I am on the waiting list for as well. Thanks for sharing and being super vulnerable. Prayers would be much appreciated.

I unfortunately had a ruptured ectopic when I was 25 and I was very close to losing my life that was thankfully saved by the NHS. I ended up losing my right tube. I never mourned the loss of the baby but struggle still today with the fact that it happened to me. I do though look back on it and think about how incredibly strong it made me and thankfully after 2 years of TTC I fell pregnant with my now beautiful 1 year old. The 2 years were incredibly hard but the moment I had a 6 week scan to find out that the my now son was in the right place was one of the most incredible moments of my life. I wish you all the best and I love your attitude towards the future. It's the way to go. You're incredible ❤️

Thank you for sharing. I had a ruptured ectopic 27 years ago. It was traumatic and I ended up very lucky is what the doctor told me. But no one talks about it. My husband was incredibly supportive but my family was not. I’d had major surgery with loss. It was a long recovery. I will tell you, I conceived 2 years later and we have a lovely son. I’m keeping good thoughts for you as you move through this journey. Again, thank you for talking so openly. ❤

Totally understandable to want to make this video and talk about it all. Full respect to you for managing to explain it all so well. I’ve been through it once and you still taught me more about it. I also get a bit of medical anxiety and had never heard anyone describe it like that before which also really helped me. Thank you so much for making this video. And I’m in the ‘lucky left’ club too by the way 😊❤

Thanks so much for making this video! I am not TTC yet but plan to be in the next couple of years so finding out about the EPU is super helpful to know.
I watched this mainly because my mum had an ectopic around 1990 and lost a tube then, and wanted to know more about what she might have gone through. She went on to have me and my brother 😊.
Your point about listening to your body also really resonated, as I'm pushing for a diagnosis to explain my chronic pain and fatigue atm after a long time gaslighting myself about it.
    Thanks 🧡

Thanks for talking so frankly about this. Got PCOS and fertility and thus health anxiety is something I think about quite a lot, but don't often speak about. Not trivial at all to be doing your make up in this. I think it speaks to how human this experience is and how much we need to normalise speaking about this. Thinking of you. ❤

Hi mollie, I hope you read this ❤ thank you for sharing your story and experience around loss and Ectopic pregnancy. I've sadly had 4 losses now, 1 of which was ectopic and it was by far the most traumatic. Give your self the time and space to heal, grieve, be pissed off and tell your story as many times as you need.
The female body is amazing - my trusty right fallopian tube has got me pregnant twice since my left was removed!
I'll be routing for both our rainbows 🌈✨

Firstly - thank you so much for sharing this. I am your age and thinking about starting a family and also have health anxiety. I have a friend who has had a similar journey to you in the last year and I feel like I can better understand her journey now but also it’s reassuring to understand what power I have to check myself if I get pregnant so thank you.
I’m only part way through so you may speak about your tubes but I know people who are struggling with ttc can have a dye put in their tubes to see if there is scarring in their tubes (often from various female health conditions like PCOS). This can help understand the health of their tubes and if there’s blocks, I don’t know if scarring might be connected to ectopics but I just didn’t know they did this until a friend had it privately and it was extra information on the health of her tubes which helped with her choices moving forward. But I am really sorry if I am overstepping and giving unsolicited advice, I am so grateful for you just sharing and also sending you and your partner so much love ❤

I appreciate you sharing your story. It can feel so surreal talking about the experience. I had an emergency operation for my ectopic pregnancy in February. It feels so far away but sometimes still so raw. It really helped sharing my story, It make me more connected to myself and other women than ever before.
Listening to this has pushed me to get private health care. It took my hospital almost 2 weeks to confirm if I had an ectopic or not, it was traumatic. Never been so scared in my life because I knew how dangerous it could’ve been and how far along I was supposed to be. I also was in for 3 days and took me weeks to recover 😭 I feel like that’s not a normal experience. I couldn’t even walk for 2 weeks.
Thank you for sharing. I’m going to request a follow up about it all 💕 your beautiful energy and mindset is inspiring x

I’m also sorry you had that experience with the EPU. I had to have an early scan with both my pregnancies as I had bleeding with both, and there was almost no wait time. I just rang up, got told to come in at a specific time, and I was seen within 15 minutes. I expect every hospital is different xx

Yoy're so strong for sharing! The part I found hardest about going to the hospital when I miscarried was that I had to sit in a room full of women who weren't all in worrying situations. Some of them were waiting for normal pregnancy related appointments with obvious bumps and there were children running around too. I was finally pregnant after almost 2 years of trying so when I started bleeding at 10 and a half weeks I was absolutely heartbroken. As far as I was concerned I was already a mum. 6 months later I got pregnant again. I was so nervous and didn't want to get excited for a while but we now have a healthy 7 month old baby who I'm so grateful for. I have my fingers crossed that one day you get your beautiful baby x

Big hugs Mollie I am glad you have talked about your experiences. It’ll help you and others as well. I had two miscarriages over 20 years ago and no one talked about it then and information was incredibly difficult to find. Like you thought the info I did get helped me so much. Whilst neither of my pregnancies were ectopic the first involved an orange sized cyst that the doctors were far more concerned about. It left me with scarring on one of my ovaries. I wasn’t offered any counselling in either pregnancy and after the second It really hit me, especially as my cycle didn’t return for nearly a year and the doctors were dismissive of my concerns. I felt helpless, ignored and then angry.
Thankfully I had private healthcare from work so I got to see a wonderful specialist and was given hormone tablets and was pregnant six weeks later! I was given weekly scans and went on to have a healthy and easy pregnancy. I now have two healthy children but I still remember the due dates of both of the babies I never had.
Everyone is different but you may find something puts you back a bit emotionally during your journey so be gentle with yourself. Fingers crossed that you are sharing good news in the next few months 🤞

Oh Molly, this really takes me back to October 2021 when I had my first ectopic pregnancy - also during baby loss awareness week. Unfortunately I had a ruptured as I was 6-8 weeks. Finding it all out by myself because of covid measures 😒 was awful. It all happened very quickly but also very slowly, because it took them 48hrs to arrange my surgery which was pretty late by then. Very risky and very traumatising indeed. Sending so so much love your way and thank you for sharing your story 🤍🤍🤍

Having had two ectopics, one resulting in a surgery and the loss of my right Fallopian tube and the second I had methotrexate to resolve it. The first time I had never heard of a pregnancy outside the womb, my doctor diagnosed me with a uti, even though I explained I was pregnant and having stabbing pains, had the surgery two days later after going to the early pregnancy unit. The second I found out by accident - I needed to do a test ironically before IVF treatment. I found the treatment at hospital both times to be more traumatic than the actual ectopic. If it hadn’t been for my husband thinking more clearly than me I would have agreed to the second operation to remove my remaining tube - even though they couldn’t find an embryo there. He shouted loud for me and I was given methotrexate. I was also given a hysterectomy pamphlet after my operation.. the aftercare is very different. Thankyou for being so honest, it’ll help other women recognise the signs ❤️
