Some of them maybe, but .. and I know this is hard to acept, there was a ton of crap too, Dinosaucers was crap and Pole Position was a really bad cartoon
Wow. The Mask theme song really takes me back. I had forgotten about that show, but when the theme song came on, it was like I could almost recite it by heart. Thanks for posting this!
No G.I. Joe, No Transformers, No Thundercats, No He-Man and the Masters of the Universe how can this ever be considered the top ten cartoon theme songs from the '80's
Best recipe for an 80's theme: take some new wave electronics, add a hair metal guitar, and sung by a Kenny Loggins impersonator and that's the stuff. This list rules and it nailed it. There were more distinctive tv shows and better animation out there, but this is about theme songs, specifically 80'S THEME SONGS. These are the best.
***** Jem? dude, my sister was in love with that show. Jem was a pop star and her group was called "Jem and the Mystics." had a barbie type doll, and was a major competitor to Barbie for about 5 years. and yes, i fucking hated it.
The good old times in the 90s when you woke up at 6am to watch cartoons! I think I would be to old for it now, but I miss those easy childhood times. Greatings from Germany.
what I love about 80s cartoon theme tunes is the vocals I mean these guys really went for it. power ballad and rock vocals. God damn I wish I was young again.
Not to mention the fact that so many of them were composed as real songs rather than soundbites. You still occasionally asee it, but holy crap was it common in the 80s.
This is one of the things I miss about cartoons now adays. I mean, you just listen to the guys singing the intros, and they're really getting into it, just sets you up for epicness

How the hell can you not include C.O.P.S, GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man and Gummie Bears?! Man, I miss all those awesome 80's cartoons. Some of them were cheesy as hell, but so, so much better than most of the crap cartoons kids today like. Care Bears, Space Ghost, Rainbow Bright, Strawberry Shortcake, TMNT, Fraggle Rock, Fat Albert, The Thundercats, Voltron, Alvin and the Chipmunks. The list just goes on and on! Turtles cams in the very late 80s almost 90s on tv form anyway. Thundercats should be there. I only know 3 of the cartoons. M.A.S.K. JEM and Defenders of the Earth

Indeed. No Ghost Busters, Jem.
No Voltron either
No silverhawks
No silverhawks either

+KEEVVY Actually, I find cartoons now better than in the 80s. Adventure Time and ESPECIALLY Steven Universe. And yes, I grew up in the 80s.
+Lesbo Joker Yup. And it's not like we didn't have some *stinkers* back in the 80s, everyone just forgot them!
Well, some certainly are, yes. But then, I'm apparently crazy because I can't even watch ninja turtles anymore.
Pandy's Oubliette I know right. I wasn't a huge fan of the Ghostbusters cartoon. It wasn't even close to the movie.
No way, steven universe is awful

I remember Dinosaucers, it was on USA Cartoon Express along with Denver the last Dinosaur which had a much catchier intro.
Back down memory lane looking at these, we had the best cartoons in the 80s.
These are cartoons that I miss so much. What loved is that there was always one cartoon character that was always hungry
Okay, I was thinking the same thing. I remember me and my sister always plotting against our brothe for control of the t.v. He wanted to watch PBS and we were trying to see He-Man and the Thundercats. Love your list because it is my era!!!!! :()
Hahaha a motorcycle that is also a helicopter.
Really creative stuff.
man i love you so much... love this video
When it played the Jem theme song, I was all like OH YEAH BABY HERE IS SONE REAL TALENT!! The 80-90s shows that I love that aren't on here are, He-Man, She-Ra, and Voltron. That is real man stuff.
My kids just love the cartoons I grew up with. Keep it up
I watched most of these growing up and I love this list.
Nice to see someone else remembers The Galaxy Rangers!
Ah 80's cartoons, where hair metal went to die.
OMG, I just took a trip to my childhood!!! Im 37 and those cartoons rocked!!!
It's called "different taste".
Also I'm glad to see not only the "common" series here, which are present in "every" video of that kind.
