- The Lincoln Navigator has etched a name for itself in the SUV market. Under the hood of this Black Label is a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 pumping out 450 HP & mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. It's bold but luxurious exterior tells you what the intentions of the Navigator are. On the inside you and your guests will be treated like kings with excellent fit & finish. Yet, despite the Navi's redesign last year, the 5 year old version of the current model Escalade has remained the top selling full size luxury SUV year over year. More people buy the Escalade than the Navi, and the 5 year old Escalade is still featured prominently in the movies. This will likely continue when the redesigned Escalade debuts next year.
You'll also see a bunch of Escalades during nationally televised red carpet events and funerals for VIPs...
Yea because Cadillac is giving away the Escalade, thats how garbage the truck. It doesn't sell itself.

Admittedly Cadillac has upped the incentives this year in advance of the redesigned new model release in 2020, similar to what Lincoln did a few years ago. But that DOES NOT explain why the Escalade has dominated this class year over year over year.
Car Sales Base (carsalesbase.com/us-car-sales-analysis-2019-q2-premium-full-size-suv-segment/) sums it up nicely:
"The aging Cadillac Escalade has been experiencing an unexpected reassurance so far in 2019, with sales up a whole 50% on the first half of last year
The Cadillac was followed at a considerable distance by the Infiniti QX80, whose latest version after a slow start in 2018 has seen its sales grow by almost 20% in 2019, allowing it to rise from fifth to second in the standings, leaping over the about-to-be-replaced Mercedes-Benz GLS, the facelifted Range Rover and the new Lincoln Navigator, which appears to be running out of steam as sales actually fell 13% in the second quarter"

If I owned a limo service, VIP Uber, was king of a small nation, wanted to tour America in luxury, invented Amazon or won the lottery...THIS would most definitely be in the fleet!! I usually complain about the big 3 slathering chrome everywhere in modern vehicles but this Navigator has been well done. Very very nice!
These car show reviews are becoming my favorite type of review. Just the way Joe goes through the car despite the heavy traffic all around just adds this aura of guerrillera style filmmaking and unpredictability that makes it so much fun.
I'm just the opposite. It's too dark, and if I had people hanging off of me and violating my space like the lady at the 9:03 mark, I'd have to cut loose with a louder than average "MAY I HELP YOU?" or "DO YOU MIND?"!
The security guard and I would laugh and laugh all the way to the nearest exit.

Do yourself a favor and just get the fully loaded Reserve. The only thing it's missing from the Black Label is the particular style of wheels and like 3 different interior colors and its 12K cheaper.

CHARLIE STEED the ceramic pearl is seriously my fav! Did you get the monochromatic package? I am waiting for the nautilus redo but the aviator is to die for. We sell quite a bit of Lincoln’s at my dealership. And it crazy how cheap they are to lease even compared to a Ford.

I know you are going to read this Raitis. Upgrade the way you record videos inside dark vehicles specially in those events. Add a LEE light or something to the camera to see much better the interior of the cars. I can’t see well the dash neither the seats. That shot was obscure. Thank you so much for your hard work. I love the Black Label Lincoln Navigator. The look will overwhelm the heck out of you. However, when I traded my previous beautiful Black Navigator, the price point/value and power weighed heavy in my decision-making in choosing the competition.
This is the best luxury suv. Period.

I just got a Ford Expedition. It lacks a few things this vehicle has but it was also about $40k less expensive.

donteadoss they have definitely made a statement. Which is a good thing because it’s creates competition and competition encourages innovation-Cadillacs answer to the black label is going to be interesting to say the least.
Beautiful car. The only two things I'm not crazy about is the rear doesn't look as elegant as the rest of the car, and the rear windshield wiper should not be visible. Taho hid it in 2014 if not sooner. The interior is top class and Escalade needs to challenge it. Hopefully the new Escalade redesign gives it a challenge.

The even bigger achievement for Lincoln is that they built a full size SUV that has the "face" to be proudly driven in China. A lot of new BMW design language caters to Chinese tastes because that's their growth market, and everyone knows global car platforms are the way ahead and have been for a while. This Navigator appeals to North American and Chinese tastes.

I love your dry humor. Anyway, you need led lighting on your video setup and/or you need a faster lens. Shoot 1.8 or 2.0 and that entire interior would have lit up regardless how dark. You need lights on your video gear, led with diffusers. Cheap investment except for the lens.

I clicked on this video thinking there must be something significantly different over the 2019 Navigator, since this is being shot at an event, but that's not the case.
Kind of wonder why he did this review during an auto show on a vehicle that is really unchanged from the 2019's available on dealer lots without all the people in the background, competing for access and poor lighting conditions.
