He was about 76 at the time so he didn't need the hassle). But with Alex Ferguson, we were really going nowhere when he took over, the year after the Matt Busby pen thing. Without him, we now could be the sorta side that's up and down divisions, still with a fifty odd thousand ground. The trophies he won just edges Sir Matt for me, but it's definitely close. I see a certain Dutchman as the third in that Holy Trinity.

Came in after OT was bombed in the war and built the 1st incarnation of the babes. Playing with kids hadnt been heard of at that point, and that team was on course to dominate world football. Tragedy struck, and Matt should really have died in that hospital, but he didnt. He came back to a team of made up unknowns, and a decade later built another team that won the Eurpoean Cup. Had it not been for Matt and Jimmy Murphy, there wouldnt be a Man Utd as we know it. Completly agree about 10H. I just hope he stays around to build a legacy 👍

There's a reason why other managers go to SAF the influence & know how he processes. Fact he rebuilt team after team whilst still maintaining extremely high standards dealing all kinds of different characters & personalities throughout his tenure the respect he had from all his players he managed speaks volumes. Just overall one hell of a manager who is the mainstay of legacy of the biggest club in the world Manchester United
When I was a kid & Ferguson came on the TV 📺 I'd stop what I was doing & go quiet so that I could listen to his every word. He just commanded so much respect. He was like the father that I never had ❤ ⚽️
I never saw anyone make an average team win so many trophies...becoz he brought out the feeling in prayers that we r actually Great than we think....we r worthy...once u make a person realize that then there is nothing he cannot achieve.
This man is partly why my childhood, teens and early adulthood was so enjoyable. Us Uniteds were lucky. No other club in England will give its fans, what we were given by this man, in that time frame. The greatest there HAS ever been. The greatest there WILL ever be.
He got the best out of players because his expectations were the belief that players were capable of being better than what even the players taught possible.
