Why does everyone make this sound super hard and remove the intercooler and such? This looks super easy. I was dreading doing this until I watched this video.
Apparently I haven't been watching or keeping up with your channel - last I knew you had the S6. I love your S8!!! I want a 2018+ S* or actually the new 2024 RS6 Avant Performance Edition so bad!!!!!! Great video! EDIT: But the only thing I have to say that is negative is I absolutely hate your intake setup! You air filters are sitting exactly right next to those massively hot manifolds and you're sucking up nothing but thin boiling air! Please make a custom CAI to the fender or front of car - that would be awesome! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Yes they are a bit of a pain to get to, but if you pull the turbo's out and push them down towards the front of the engine you can just so get to the clamps.
Free tip for anyone doing this the first time and having the bolt at the bottom. Just use an air chisel and punch either cut the chain that holds the two sides of the clamp together or use the punch to drive the vband around to get access. USE A REPLACEMENT VBAND to mount the new turbos and wallla.
damn audi engines turned ugly real fast. They were so nice with minimal plastic covers with golden cover valves and red coil packs right in the middle.
I took everything off to reach those clamps at the bottom. ALOT of work. if I were to do it again I would just simply cut the clamps on top and buy new ones at the dealer.
Hello, ive got a kinda tricky question to you guys.... Why are the S8 turbos on this car so easy to reach, while the S7 turbos are a pain to get thru whit disassembleing etc....? At wich time (model year) Audi decided to change that clamp to a bolt at the turbos? Is the clamp just in the first gen S7 and not anymore at the facelift S7 model included or is this a S8 thing and all S7 are dommed whit this hell-clamp? Cheeeeers :*
You have miles of room to operate in that S8, S6 nowhere near. must be nice. BUT my question is have you done a manifold exchange and turbo upgrade? I have TTE900 with manifolds that I want to install, but short of some solid technical advice. What say you?
WAS WANTING TO THOW SOME TS1S ON MY 14 RS7. DO YOU RECOMMEND ANY SEAL KITS OR ANYTHING FOR THE LINES AND FROM WHERE? NOT SURE IF YOU CAN PULL THE COOLANT AND OIL LINES OFF AND JUST RESUE SEALS THAT ARE ON THE LINES. WAS GOING TO JUST GET THE TS1S FROM SRM ALONG WITH TS WASTE GATES AND 4 BAR MAP SENSORS.
I ASK MY SELF... WHY PPL PREFER TO MAKE THE RS7 STRONGER THEN THE S8 I THINK PERSONALLY THE S8 ITS BETTER LOOKING

Hi, did you pre fill the turbo with oil, and crank the car with no start to get the oil lines primed? Is this necessary?
EXACTLY what I wanted to know.
hey have you done the turbo oil screen? do you need to take off the front bumper for the S8? I know s6s you do....
How did u do with the oil return hose from the turbos underneath? Can u reach them without taking the intercooler and pcv out?
Yes they are a bit of a pain to get to, but if you pull the turbo's out and push them down towards the front of the engine you can just so get to the clamps.
Thanks for the help bud.
This really gave me some instructions.
Great to hear it was helpful!
Is s8 reliable ?what are the major issues .
love the simetry of that set up
Can I get to the oil screen using this method

You mentioned you sell those inlets or intakes, where can I look at those? Didn’t see them on the 40t site
damn audi engines turned ugly real fast. They were so nice with minimal plastic covers with golden cover valves and red coil packs right in the middle.
If the bolt for the clamps are on the bottom, how do you get them off? Do you have to take the whole manifold off?
With the intercooler block and pcv pulled out your able to get a small wrench underneath the turbos to loosen the clamps.
I took everything off to reach those clamps at the bottom. ALOT of work. if I were to do it again I would just simply cut the clamps on top and buy new ones at the dealer.
Great video! How much did you pay for both turbos?
What trunk lip is that? I can't find one for my d4s8
That really doesn't look like a difficult job at all.

The D4 chassis actually has 3+” more clearance on the front of the engine which is what makes them easier to work on with the front on
I'm considering a 2014/15 S8. Any recommendations or advise?
Just do it! With basic preventative maintenance they are awesome cars
Who are you tuned with?
Hey I notice when you had the car running your TS wastegates are close. Is that normal?

Hey! I would at a minimum get new water line and oil line o rings.
I appreciate it!!! Any recommendations on where? Maybe fcp euro?@@Customwerx
How difficult is it replace the oil coolant and feed lines to the turbos? I have an air intake leak in bank 1 and its slowly leaking coolant and oil.
They are actually pretty simple!
Which turbo performed the best, I have a stock 2015 S8 and want to upgrade turbos
Are you planning on any additional mods? Such as fueling upgrades?
@@Customwerx mid and down pipes and possibly APR HPFP
whats your wheel setup??
We intakes are you using?
Darn skipped the part of the install I wanted to see getting the bottom hose on
Yeah, he mentioned "oil drains are the hardest part" and then skipped over all of the hours of fucking with those to say it was 10 mins haha
Yeah I also want to know how he did. Is it possible to remove the clamps without taking the intercooler and the whole front of on s6c7
Do you work on other cars
Yes we do
Love it 😍 planning to do a 4.0T swap from my A7 3.0 T can’t wait for the next vid
Why? Upgrade your motors turbo? fullbot onm, tune.... why swap?
