    You got the car out! 👏🏼
    You got her personal belongings 👍🏼
    All of you are safe .. 🤙🏼 🤿
    So a groovy day I’d say!

    Your fittings froze because your gas under very high pressure was experiencing a dramatic pressure drop once you opened the valve, which causes it to absorb heat. It's the same principle that the air conditioner in your home uses to remove heat from the air. I presume letting the gas out at a slower rate would prevent the freezing to a certain extent, but probably not that big of a deal in most cases. Awesome content as always!

    You guys are getting good - REALLY GOOD. Every dive, every recovery is a learning
    experience and boy are you learning. At this point, you are the "go-to guys" when it
    comes to recovery. AND FRANKLY, judging from the condition of the car, I am truly
    surprised the woman got out of it alive ... lucky woman. Great job Jeremy & Brit.

    I love it when the lift bags are used. It is the anticipation of when are they going to pop up to the surface. You and Brit did a great job! The woman who owns that car should be happy now because she can get her stuff back. Not sure if anything will be salvageable, but there is meaning behind it since she was saved from what could have been a sad ending. Awesome job! Keep up the great work!

  • @andvil01

    If you feel the heat from the compressor, when you fill your diving tanks. All that heat has to go into the air again when it goes from 200 bar to 1 bar. When it goes so quick filling the bags, it will be so cold the water in the air will freeze. Physics. The gas law PV=nRT.

    Good job you and Brit!!! I have just one tip, when you have wide spoke wheels like that that are easy to get to don't hook to the axle behind the wheel, hook through the spokes of the wheels. (2 if possible) Then all of your connections are easily accessible to disconnect when you get the car to the bank. Nothing gets mangled or tangled up under the car. Kudo's to Quality Towing for smooth recovery of the car!!

    Interested in the NPT coupling on your hose. Is it a on direction or check valve type? If not does your bags get a bunch of water in them. I know 1/4” NPT brass check valves are available.

    • @exploringwithnug
      @exploringwithnug  2 года назад +7

      great question. I'm not the pro behind the design. I just know it's a quick disconnect female on the bag so when the air hose is disconnected, no air bleeds out. There is also a big simple two way valve that you manually open to bleed the air out.

    • @volusia407
      @volusia407 2 года назад

      @@exploringwithnug if your bag get water inside it then a check valve what keep it dry if you attach it to the hose side so water doesn’t fill up hose as your pulling through the water. Grainger #6D914 would allow directional air only out if attached to end of hose behind your coupler. I believe it’s rated for 300lbs of air. I would think any moisture in bag over time would cause it to deteriorate. Just a thought. Great content Jeremy

    Hey Jeremy my husband who is a welder and has used oxygen a lot says it was a combination of things that caused the ice up. The tank laying on it's side, being above water since it's a scuba tank and possibly opening the valve more to fill both air bags. All air tanks have liquid oxygen in them, so when they are not upright it allows some to come out still in liquid form. Hope this helps explain the icing up on the valve. Great job by the way.

    Dude , as you work lessons are learned . Keep learning .
    Compressed air is like opening a soda or beer . The release of compressed gasses lowers the temperature and can FREEZE compensates . This is normal Painters like auto body shops preheat their air . You might keep a small propane torch handy to thaw out fittings with a little heat or a hair dryer .

    Hey Jeremy...great recovery of the ladies car, you and Brit work together great...about the ice on the connections was probably caused by a leak, make sure the hose connections are pushed on securely....stay safe :)
