I did underwater recovery for our Sheriff's office for 14 years. I can't ever remember being unhappy finding out our "victim" was elsewhere and alive and well. I'm reading a lot of complaints about this search being a "waste". I'm also willing to bet none of them have ever made a recovery. It's never a waste.

@@chrissi.enbyYT While this is true, it goes deeper for me. This country wasn't founded by wimps. Our forefathers had balls. They weren't satisfied staying home, or living in fear. They wanted to know what was over there. They wanted the best and were willing to take a lot of risks to get it. They crossed an ocean, then a Continent. Taking risks is All American, and I am happy to support this attitude. I'm just not a big fan of living at home in fear of taking chances. I hope this makes sense.

The most horrifying happening I have ever experienced is the suicide of a friend of my husband’s back in 1975. He was a weekend fisherman with a small fishing boat, who could not swim. They found his boat with his boots in it at a small body of water nearby Jackson, Tennessee. I was about twenty five at that time and this really rocked my world. Water seems to draw the disenfranchised and depressed. I am 73, now, and have never gotten over this feeling of sadness for this man.
My family also suffered a suicide years ago, and while we learn to move on with our own lives and can feel happiness again, that hole in our hearts will always be present. We move on, but we never get over losing a loved one like that. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I wish you and your family nothing but the best going forward.
Searching helps to know an area is clear. It never is a waste of time. I am so glad he was found safe and alive. Good job guys.

I'm so glad that he was found alive! I'm sure it was a huge relief to both his family and you. Even though you do search and recovery of missing people, no doubt you're relieved when you find out the person is alive .

Jeremy & Adam= Searching is NEVER a waste of time. More than once another missing person has been found while looking for someone else. Plus you have documented no vehicle in that area of the river, which will help out any missing cases prior to your search. I hope that all the places you have searched are in a data base you have backed up. Keep up the great work!

And also there weren't any other vehicles in there beside the one you saw on sonar. Keep that on record and on to the next case. You guys are doing great!!! 😍😻
Do we know he was found well? Obviously that is my hope, but there are very little articles saying he was found, but several the days after not mentioning he was found.

It’s never ever a waste of time and I’d hope if it were my loved one or even myself, that someone cared enough to take the time to look. Plus it’s far better to be off the couch out doing something that very well could help bring closure for another. I’m so glad he’s been found alive, what happened isn’t important and it could be personal as life’s road isn’t always on smooth pavement but it’s good he’s been located safe.
