My husband passed away 3 weeks ago in his sleep. I love to watch you in the evenings when I go to bad. Your laughter and the little stories you tell makes things a lot easier. When I saw one video listed as not your mammas banana pudding I nearly cried. I remember that show on tv. Those were fun times. But I love what you are doing now.
Paula, you have a relaxing sweetness about you that I really enjoy in these quarantine specials, and love the stories. Thank you! Keep telling stories, Paula!
Even if I'm not watching her video, I like having her on in the background while I'm cooking because it sounds like my mom's here. Makes my house and my heart feel warm.
Paula, you really are the real deal aren't cha?,. People walking around in the background, dogs barkin, and you actually told us your husband's in the hot tub chillin, talking about your neighbors, Just down home stuff fuh reah. I just love it. Keep up the good work Doll. And God Bless.😊😘
I don't even like crab, but because I love all your videos, I happily watched this. I just love your stories and hearing you talk and laugh. You're a joy.
I just love watching these comforting videos of yours! My mom was born and raised around the Bryan County area. It just feels like home to hear your sweet GA accent. Reminds me so much of my relatives.
Paula Deen is so down to earth. I miss your shows. I have been home bound for months and found your you tubes and love them. You just warm my heart listening to you and your stories. A fan for life
This recipe looks fantastic. Can't wait to try it. Thanks so much for posting all the great videos during this quarantine. By the way please do share the deviled crab recipe soon. I'd love to have your recipe for that dish. You are the best ! Keep up the good work. Hope you'll be in Columbia, SC soon for an event !!!
Thank you for making these home videos, it really brings so much comfort and joy to me. You make me feel like I'm hanging out with my granny. You two could be soul twins not to mention really look like sisters ❤🙏
Watching this again bc I’m fixing to make it and wanna make it right. It’s the end of June now and already hot as blue blazes over here in Texas, so a good no bake recipe hits the spot. I love you and your videos so much, lady, you’re a life saver during these awful quarantine days that are lasting way too long. I don’t know when it’s ever going to end. And, yes, you’ve got a mighty good man in Michael! He’s a keeper! ⚡️💖⚡️
Paula, you took me back when you said deviled crabs! I make an old family recipe that just melts in your mouth with every bite, and delivers a burst of flavor that you’d wish would never end... I’m from Charleston, SC and I know that Savannah is very similar in the city, in the cutler, and in the way we cook.
Omg! It was my dog’s 1st bday on 5/15- we told him the night before... he totally woke in the morning in his “cage,” in kitchen standing right up happy! He usually lays there until after we make coffee etc. then he pranced around all day- especially after his bday gifts w a big ol bone. IT WAS HYSTERICAL!!! I love this dog so much. (I didn’t want him, still mourning my Lola loss from Dec, but 15yo daughter insisted) he has LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!!
My cat is 15 years old. When he was younger I had him trained so that I could have my first cup of coffee before fixing his breakfast. Now he starts whining the minute I get out of bed. 😑
My daughter’s boyfriend, who is a marvelous cook, is not from the South. He asked me if I would teach him to cook Southern. I gave him a copy of your 1st cookbook. He is actually studying it! My daughter, who has grown up watching you, coming to The Lady and Sons, and eating food I cooked from that book is showing him her favorite tree s. 😀
Good evening all my amazing friends...I can not wait to make this amazing dip.All you have a wonderful night our day friends love you all. Paula have a wonderful night friend ❤❤
Oh Paula..We have a great crab fondue...when we lived in Santa Rosa, Ca most of our lives we where only about 25 to 30 minutes from Bodgea Bay...we would get fresh crab and make the fondue... I have laughed so much watching you make dishes during the pandemic and enjoyed your family and your dogs running and barking while you cook. You are so genuine and funny! Great dishes to make! Thanks for videos! You inspire me to cook more!
That looks and sounds good !! Happy birthday Guss !! 🎂🎈🎁🎉 I love to hear your dogs bark !! To me dogs are just like little kids . Hahaha..!! 😆😉 Thank you Miss Paula for another awesome recipe !! ❤😍❤
I like to hear Paula's dogs bark too. Dogs _are_ a lot like little kids! My black lab seemed like a three year old. She lived to be 15 and was just the sweetest girl in the world. Now I have a Papillon, and I believe she is stuck at two years old...the terrible two's!! LOL just kidding, but she does have a little spitfire in her like most little dogs do. ❤️🐶🐶❤️
@@mygirldarby , that's sweet ! I love my dogs too . I had a Dalmatian named Elvis and he lived to be 15 . Then right after that my son came home with a 5 week old bloodhound . She was so cute !! He promised he was going to take care of Bella . Yeah right ! That didn't last about a week . She ended up being my baby . I would even set her in a high chair and feed her when she was little . LOL !! She got sick when she was 7 and she had to have some surgery . She died and it like to have killed me . I get so attached to them and when that happens it breaks my heart . 💔😭 Then my stepson left his bulldog here and I really didn't want her because I knew I would get too attached her . Well , she been here for a while now and he can't have her back , because I love her too much . Her name is Irene and she's 4 yrs. old . She's spoiled rotten too . She even goes on vacations with us . I treat them all just like they are my kids too . I love them so much . ❤😍🐶🐕❤😉❤
Its suppose to be 100 degrees here in southern California today so this dish would make me look like a hero! Thank you Paula for the recipe and your stories are so fun I hope you continue this segment.
@@tressahartley6678 I use 1 brick softened cream cheese, 1 can Campbells condensed Cream Of Shrimp soup, 1 garlic clove (grated), green onion tops, 1 can of crab meat, a dash of Worcester sauce. Mix all together and put in oven safe dish. Bake at 400 for 30 mins or until bubbly. I usually serve with fried wontons but you can also use pita chips, bagel chips, or and kind of chip you prefer. All those recipes you share out of your first cookbook made me so hungry for more, I just had to find that cookbook. Today I bought it! I'm so excited and can hardly wait for it to arrive.
Paula, could you and Michael do a Catch, Cook, Clean episode showing the crabs at the end of your dock, Doing a Crab Boil and then Michael showing us how to clean and eat them??? Would be very interested to see the whole process! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!!🦀 GOD BLESS!! - Kirk Carlisle, Summerton, SC
Paula, you look so pretty! Love the story of Michael feeding you the crab. This recipe is similar to one that I bake, I think it also has sour cream in it. This is completely off the subject of crab dip, but how do you clean your grates on the top of the stove?
Gosh that crab dip is my next thing to make, I have 5 friends who share lunch at each other’s house, so my next turn ,I I’m fixing tomato pie, chicken salad sandwiches, fruit salad with French cream and crab dip and sweet lemon tea. They will love it...Pier One is going out of business and the have the prettiest Lemon plates so I’m getting sone an this will be a nice lunch to serve one the Lemon plates....

Where should you buy crab meat and what do you look for? I've tried the refrigerated canned and although it was really expensive, it wasn't very good.
