Very, very, VERY cool to see Tom slapping! I've seen a million videos of his and have never seen that. Tom is truly an exceptional and unique player. The way he navigates the LH aspect of the fretboard is a joy. You rarely see people use upright technique with that must fluidity.
I'm ashamed to say that I didn't know about this Bassist Tom Kennedy till last week! Gosh. I'm now listening to all Dave Weckl Band albums. He's 👌🏿👌🏿♥️
Very humble man . What an amazing musician. That was fantastic thanks for sharing. 🙏.Great Tree player as well . Check Tom out on the up right. He is a monster.
Alonso Miranda - I think the fact his hands are hugemungous makes the string spacing and scale look smaller than what it is- I don’t think fodera goes slimmer than 18mm
Your solo technique is top of the line adulterated perfection as you are an excellent example of a musician who thinks beyond basic and typical even though you are basically endorsing and instrument that was designed to get the makers rich by selling to the rich and I bet $10,000 that you sound just as good on a Squier Jazz Bass
I just found out about Tom Kennedy. Somehow I got TKS mixed up with KTS. KTS thinks that if you want 19mm string spacing you have to slot it yourself. What a crazy notion because most bass players use 19mm spacing. I have come to like 18.5mm spacing not 16 or 17 or 18. 18.5 is faster than 19mm. I can't go from a Fender five to an Ibanez Sr five because That 16 or 17 Ibanez feels so unnatural. I like Ibanez's four strings. They are great and have 19mm spacing and are so easy to play. I love how light they are. I don't like the headstock but it is a good bass. I have an Ibanez BTB 5 string that I rescued from a pawnshop. I cleaned it up, put on new strings and now it sounds like a million bucks.
This guy is a monster

at about 1:40 I thought he was going to bust into some Vulfpeck
Brooklyn!
i thought Tom would never slap. Ever :O
Now I have a dream-bass. o_O
One of the best...you go Tom!
Lovely bass but doesn't sound any better than a cheapo sire or something
True but a Squier or a Sure will fall apart in a year,a Fodera lasts a life time
yea, let's see him try to take a crack at Highway to Hell !!!
Master of the open D string
You know he really is an upright player
Tom is amazing! I got to learn some of his stuff.
Pretty much a complete demo😊
Volevamo prenderlo col ns gruppo 'gli sfrattati di casa' ma ha detto di no chissà perché! 😄
Fodera, it's time to start making amps for both bass and guitar...starting with practice/home amps + + + + +
What's his amp settings? Oh! He's got a Mark bass amp. Victor Wooten uses Hartke and I like Gk punch.

This bassist it's so chill playing. Very nice!
Nice tone!!! how much is the body thickness and the weight of this bass?
His brain is going way faster than mine will ever go... and the music is beautiful.
A master indeed. . . . I am almost there. . . Thanks Tom K. . . very inspiring
So crisp clear and stylish, great story😎🎸
Jaco + Felix + Tom = That's All For Me
Impressionante. Quem me dera ser Fodera como este cara!

34"
Sick!!!
кто сказал что бас не полноценный инструмент ?круто
А кто такое говорил?
amazing jazz vocabulary. Tom is a monster! :-)
Is it a short scale?
No it's a 34 inch scale bass. His older custom is a neck through 35 inch scale though
okay thanks :)
Escargow but the narrow string spacing es noticeable
First time ever hearing him pull the slap card out. Beast always surprises
