Ah the talent never ends; between your mom's green thumb and your dad's craftsmanship that has become one of the most beautiful retreats I've seen. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful spot, beautiful cabin.
You guys made it look so easy that I could tell you were builders before hearing you say so.
All the best to you; good health and long life to your folks.
What a beautiful legacy you're parents have built. upsman retired California.
Love that idea for a rain barrel. It's all falling together beautifully.
Wow, this is an incredible piece of work!
What a beautiful place, it would be amazing to live in a place like that, so "away from it all" and very peaceful and tranquil feeling. You guys have some amazing talent at building and designing things to look great together. Congrats on a Beautiful Home.
Beautiful property great work thanks for sharing
Joe, that interior siding makes the cabin look bigger in my opinion. Looks like an ideal place to spend a lot of time at! You and your dad are building not a cabin but a legacy that will likely remain long after you both are gone. Looks great!
+Duane K Thank you. I agree and we talked about it when we were up there and it does seem to make it look bigger inside. Thanks again. Joe
So rustic and beautiful.
Just beautiful! It has a wonderful feel just watching the video. The outhouse is still my favorite though. Such personality.
looks so good, the craftsmanship that is put in it makes it look like something you would find in a magazine
This is a beautiful cabin I wish and pray that some day I can have something like this😊👍🏻
once again very nice
This place is just adorable!!!
Fantastic work.
Really beautiful work! Your family is so talented!

So Beautiful!
That place is amazing!
Awesome cabin, I would love to something like that for a home.
Looks great!
That is a beautiful cabin. Great work
+dalton vickers Thank you for the nice comment Dalton. Joe
I don't think I would have the patience to wait 2 years for my home to be done, LOL It is absolutely beautiful place over looking the lake.
I used 8 inch pine car siding, #3 grade which has BIG knots and lightning strikes inside my home and puritan pine stain with semi gloss polyurethane. Very rustic!
your dad is a master wood worker... It's more like a mesuem than a cabin .. hahahaha
You're the inspiration of what I'm building on my place lol
+Homestead Dreams At St. Bernard Acres I just subscribed. make videos please. Thank you. Joe
beautiful!
Beautiful !
looks great!
Awesome!
Nice Cabin...
Nice telephone on the wall @ 2:02 suits the place well.
STUNNING
The cabin is looking great. I have been waiting to see if something is done about the white house wrap that shows through the exterior boards. Not sure of he intends to keep it that way or if there is a future step to fill the gaps.
Thanks for the update Joe
+stormchaser86 I am pretty sure he said in a previous video that they were going to install the "logs", and let them season for a while on the cabin before they starting chinking the gaps. With the detail in the rest of the cabin I am sure it is coming.
+Wesley Moore I think I recall that part but I honestly thought he was referring to a distressing technique, not filling the gaps. I guess I was wrong, thanks
Can't wait till November
+Matheson Fraser (Moosehunter158) Its almost here. Sara and Zachary and myself are heading to the tent in two weeks to do deer stands and then on November 6th we will be in our deer stands. I will be looking for deer and I imagine they will be napping. hahaha. Its exciting and almost here. Thank you. Joe
that time just blew by, 2 yrs. the place is so cool
+cigarcaptain Thanks Captain. I agree, I had to look a couple times before I did the intro and exit on this video at the previous videos to see when I posted the first video. The time has went by fast. Thanks again. Joe
WOW!!!!!
I love the way the outside looks all weathered and the inside is pristine. You guys do some pretty good work. The question is what is your dad gonna do when he finishes lol!
+1975Jdonov Im not sure. maybe he can help me with mine. LOL LOL. Thank you. Joe
Hi Joe, how is your dad doing I know he had major surgery some time ago. I have been watching all your older videos so I hope all is well for him
My jaw actually just dropped when i saw that this video just got posted =D
+Adam Lawton (Chavaliay) Thank you for the nice comment Adam. Joe
Love this channel.... And these people in general... Their videos bring me peace.... It's weird lol..... My opinion on the house.... Again just my opinion.... Beautiful, well built... But it looks to cluttered in there... So many things....but everything is very beautiful
+Luciano Reboucas Thank you for the nice comment. Everyone has a different taste in decor, and all decors have there own beauty.
+JoeandZachSurvival of course... Everything is beautiful. Great videos... Thanks for the uploads
beautiful cabin. are the deer on the wall from close by? Thanks.
What kind of person clicks the thumbs down? Your videos are amazing!
mebhi2 idiots, that's who.
I love the video's and am starting the finishing of a cabin of my own this spring and have gotten idea's and direction from you yet the one thing that has puzzled me is why with all the planning is the master bed in a position where you have to crawl over it? I do realize that the view is part of the plan but as a 59 yr old I never again want a bed that you need to crawl across to get in or make up. Again I am not disliking but am wondering if I am missing something, thank you.
yall are doing a beitiful job on that cabin , hope it never catches fire though , if it does catch fire it will only take 20 minuts for it to be burnt to the ground
+grizz270 The plywood is a special fire resistant type. although not fireproof. as long as you keep a eye on it and know what your doing there is no issue.
IS THERE A STORY ABOUT THE MOOSE HEAD ... WHERE AND WHEN .... BEAUTIFUL CABIN & GREAT VIDEOS ....THANK YOU
+Linda Stephens I will see if I can get the pictures from the hunt. That was I bet 30 years ago. If I can I could do a picture video and get Dads story. Thank you. Joe
+Linda Stephens I just called and asked my Dad and he said he has a picture album on the moose/Caribou hunt he went on and will give me the album so I can scan the pictures. I will create a video on it somehow. It will take a little time. Thanks again. Joe
GREAT JOE ,
LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ...TC HAPPY WOOD~ZING ... AWESOME VIDEOS...
Hey Joe, how big are those windows that are in the corner by the kitchen table? And can you tell me how high they are off the floor? I want to do something similar in my cabin.
Isn't this your dad's place? (I don't know why I thought that!!) Just gorgeous!!!!!
+Sheila meri Yes it is, The Backwoods Cabin is my folks cabin. Thank you. Joe
Joe, how bout showing floor plan, with actual measurements of cabin ?
will your dad b living in this cabin full time? It is too beautiful to b left alone
