What a treatment. Do nothing. I have had OCD since I was a child. I’ve tried so many things. I get stoked when I realize the best treatement to cope with thoughts is to do nothing :) just let things flow and judge not. Woah. Thank you for sharing.

Love this video the way you broke it down, Momin! Many times I forget to just do NOTHING about the intrusive thoughts. I get so much anxiety from them.

yes great video, I sometimes find myself subconsciously trying to placate myself or tell myself to just sit with it, yet I'm trying to thought neutralize in the background. I believe the "letting the thoughts sit" is something I get frustrated with because even when I try, they fester on for a while but this is something learned more over time and with practice.

Yes - Especially since most social media accounts over simplify this.

Do you think being on meds for ocd makes it harder and longer to recover? With ERP and these techniques? Thx I love your videos!

Is it important for recovery to accept the worst case scenario? I have fear of psychosis and being put in a mental institution the rest of my life even though it’s unlikely. Do I need to accept that that can happen in order to recover or how do I cope with that worst case scenario?

Yes it's important especially if you're chronically anxious or have been suffering for many years because no matter how much we keep telling ourselves it's unlikely, OCD will always answer back with "but what if?"

"not doing anything"did nothing for me.only made the illness go worse over time

This isn't the only thing that works for recovery - of course there are lots of other moving parts to OCD recovery.
