    I love how you explain things. Found your channel through a tiktok reacts and thanks to your videos, I have gone from total couch potato to adding functional, intentional exercise daily.
    These more detailed videos on exercise theory are so helpful for folks like me who want to understand why some exercises are better for goals than others.
    Can't wait to see you reviewing this video in 5 years and the improvements you'll come up with then!

    I’m glad to know renegade rows aren’t efficient, as I really dislike them. Thanks for all the helpful info. I’ve been doing your strength workouts and enjoying them. I especially like the 30 and 60 second rests, it enables me to lift heavier.

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  18 дней назад +1

      I should clarify! They're not efficient for back strength, but it's a fine plank variation if you enjoy it :)

    I love these videos where you go through how you program. It's always so interesting to me. It's gotten me thinking more about the warmups that are programmed in my workouts. I love my coach and his programs, but the warm ups are definitely the weak point. I saw in the third program you had linked them a cool down (maybe in the others too, but I didn't notice). Is that something you would recommend now or do you just end it?

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  13 дней назад

      Ooh great question! I never do cooldowns for myself or with clients anymore. I'll add a quick stretch at the end of a group fitness class, but that's mostly just for cohesiveness of getting us all back together for a moment. If you enjoy stretching post workout though there's no harm in it!

  • @Busyfigureskating

    I’m just gonna put this out here bc I keep hearing ppl rag on renegade rows: it’s more for *core stability work* rather than back hypertrophy! Your core has to work hard to keep your back/hips from twisting around all over the place. Great for sports like figure skating (which I do as a hobby). It strengthens my core to protect my low back which is prone to injury. It’s also just an interesting, challenging movement that makes me feel powerful.

    • @JustinaErcole
      @JustinaErcole  17 дней назад

      Hey! Sorry if I wasn’t clear, but this specific client was looking to build muscle. Renegade rows are a terrible choice for that. But if you like them for anti-rotation, they’re a fantastic option!

  • @Amy-jj8gy

    I LOVE your philosophy on warmups. Anymore, if a trainer doesn’t include a warmup tailored to the workout, I move on.

    In my last training i did 30 neutral grip pull ups & 30 bulgarian dips in 15 minutes in an outdoor gym.
    I'm afraid of the injuries as I'm 45. I tried assisted one arm pull ups, but not sure they're safe. I like neutral grip & commando pull ups, haven't really tried weighted pull ups.

    This was super interesting to watch! It really shows your growth as a coach. Hearing you say, “We all start somewhere”, was comforting for me, especially as I'm starting my major in Physiotherapy and also aiming to get a personal training cert in the short term. I was a bit anxious about not being great at it, so thank you so much! 💖
    PS. I want to thank you because you were one of the people who helped me realize my interest in a career related to movement and exercise 🫶🏻
