    Just 2 question : i am from Greece, if i will sent money euro to revelut with my credit card did i pay fees to my bank for it? If i will sent money euro from revelut to binance or Nexus did i also pay fees?

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  Год назад

      Hi Christos, regarding your two points:
      1. This is what I found on their website:
      Add money with card is free. However, if you add money with a card that has not been issued within the EEA (e.g. a US-based card) or you add money with a commercial card then we may charge a small fee just to cover our costs.
      I would still try a small amount first and see if they charge you anything. I always do bank-transfer and within EU it will be in your Revolut account in less than 1 minute and it's definitely free if you send EURO to EURO.
      2. That depends on which Revolut plan you have. On the free plan I believe you have one international transfer free per month, for more there will be a small fee, but it's really small and will be indicated to you on the Revolut app before you do the transfer.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers.

    Thanks for the video! Very helpful :-) Question: I have a Revolut account and want to pay for my yearly subscriptions, like Netflix and my phone bill, through my Revolut card instead of my bank account. When I transfer money from my bank to Revolut, the money sits in the account, but I need to make sure the card has the money to pay for the subscriptions. How do I ensure that the card is funded and not the account, and how does it work?

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  Год назад +1

      Hi Sean, many thanks and glad to hear that. Great choice. The cool thing about Revolut is, once the money is in your account, the cards will access that account automatically, so you won't need to separately load up the cards so as long as you have money in your account, your card payments will be done👌 Cheers

    Important to mention to people that the Stock is no longer available for new users. I have installed and opened a Metal account at Revolut and for my surprise they said that after brexit they cannot longer provide the trading services.
    I watched your videos and was exited about using Revolut for stocks. But unfortunately, until they get their license (MiFID) they cannot onboard new people.
    So, I decided to close the account I just opened. I wish I had this information sooner. Wouldn't have lost my time. So, I'm sharing in case there are people interested in getting Revolut for investing.

      Hi Natalia, thanks for sharing though this is very surprising to hear as my friends literally opened their account last week and already bought their first stocks through the app plus they even still talk about it on their website. If that was a license issue it should also not be applicable to existing users, yet I can buy myself stocks through the app. Very strange to hear that. From which country did you sign up? Because in Europe it's no issue at all.

      @@SmartMoneywithKai Well, I'm in Italy and I received this explanation from them today. They said they cannot onboard new users for the trading services until they get their license for the European union. So much, that in the Revolut App it is possible to see 3 folders under Wealth: Commodities, Crypto and Vaults. There is not the Stocks one. And their explanation was the one I told you.

      @@nataliass8030 Very interesting so maybe this is really something very recent. Anyways thanks for sharing. I will also write to their support to double check as of course I want to share the latest information even though it’s natural for such services and apps to regularly change their offers and terms so those videos are usually a snapshot in time. Hope you still enjoy Revolut as it offers so many other amazing features. For stock trading I would also recommend Interactive Brokers if you are in Italy, as it allows much more features and stocks selection and buying ETF’s at better prices than with Revolut. Cheers.

      Hi there, not sure what you mean by linking it to Revolut? To use it as top up? You can use Revolut to top up Plutus, the other way around I don't know, but you would definitely not get rewards for that anyways. As a bank you can't link Plutus to Revolut to see your spending sadly. To add Plutus to Curve Card you can👍

      Hi Jason, indeed, definitely exchange it before and during week day not weekend to get the best rate. Once you have Thai Bath, Revolut will take it automatically without any extra FX fees of course always make sure to pay in local currency. ATM withdrawals are subject to your plan and limits so anything over that might have the usual withdrawal fees that’s why I pay everything with card. Have a great trip☀️

    If you buy crypto on revolut it will only let you withdraw 1000 a month. so if you stick 100k of btc into revolut it would take you 8.3 years to withdraw it all.... i havent got that much but its going to take me months to withdraw the amount i have in there, be warned..

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  Год назад

      Hi Robert, thanks for the heads-up, didn't know about the limit. Are you on the free-plan? Because usually Revolut increases limits for higher plans so might be worth checking. I don't buy Crypto through Revolut though, but yes, this is not great, yet still better than in the past when they did not let you allow to withdraw at all. Also, if you have €100K in BTC, I would really suggest to diversify across different platforms plus your own hardware wallet, we've just seen how fast the FTX case happened. Cheers.

    Any suggestions about 1% pro Cashback card?

    • @SmartMoneywithKai
      @SmartMoneywithKai  Год назад +2

      Hi Simon, in general it’s a great feature. If you are a sole entrepreneur it makes sense as Revolut Business is more for small companies.
      The cashback however is limited to pure Business transactions as per their T&C’s
      Remember, you can only use your Revolut Pro
      account for business purposes. This applies to your Revolut Pro card as well; it must only be used for business spending. If you use your Pro card for personal spending, we may reverse any cashback you have received and close both your Retail and Pro accounts.
      We can't give you cashback when doing so would break any law or regulation.
      Hope this helps.
      Cheers.

      To be honest unless you travel a lot outside Europe then the 1% cashback can be worth it. In Europe it’s only 0.1% so not worth it. I was happy with my Premium before even now I downgraded to free as I use my Nexo even more and the free Revolut plan is enough to cover my use cases.
