Interview With "Robot Dreams" Director Pablo Berger

#RobotDreams had its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in the Special Screenings section, where it received enthusiastic reviews for its seemingly simple but complex telling of a story about connection and friendship between a Dog and a Robot, all without dialogue. Director, writer, and producer #PabloBerger was kind enough to spend some time with #NextBestPicture contributor #DanielHowat talking about his experience making his first animated film, the challenges of telling the story without dialogue, his thoughts on being nominated for an Oscar, and more. It’s an amazing movie me and my children love it!

watching the movie only reminded me my loneliness, so to me the movie though beautiful was very depressing, and rhe ending hit me in the feels, like getting punched on an open wound, makes me yearn to find someone.
This is considered spoilers stop reading if you havent watched the movie.
-Dog tried to move on but went back for the "easy way" get another robot, and Robot is pretty much like me, waiting for someone that may never come, Robot was lucky somebody found him and healed his wounds, I don't know what my future would be, but I hope I won't make Dog's mistakes but if things don't work out with my potential friend/partner I don't want to wait to be found, Robot didn't have a choice he literally couldn't move, but it was a metaphor, in real life you can't wait to be found-
