- Do you remember the 21st night of September? The iconic Earth, Wind, and Fire song is heavily featured in writer-director Pablo Berger's new film, Robot Dreams, which just celebrated its North American premiere at TIFF 2023. He sat down with That Shelf to discuss his special connection to the song, his love for Japanese animation, and how he adapted Sara Varon's graphic novel into a love letter to 1980s New York City.

The choice to use September as the main audio piece and theme around love/friendship was such a good choice for this movie.
terrific film and an awesome director
I have never been so profoundly moved by a movie. Pablo Berger created a masterpiece. This movie completely reduced me to tears. Absolutely beautiful filmmaking.
I LOVED this film! Such beautiful depth all with no dialogue, a wondrous statement on the many pathways of friendship.
This is such a deep movie it gives you many ways to interpret it, it cover so many realms that makes it stick to you and your deepest feelings. I absolutely loved it, i already went to see it twice both times i found different meanings

The movie is great but the soundtrack is even better.
You have to make a second movie for robot dreams they finally have to meet each other. Besides they need to talk.
NO. . This is life. Sometimes you dont get to say good bye or talk again and that is ok
Pablo suggested that he'll make a sequel
