That fire nation joke; all my friends and I were making it during the eclipse 😂
One interesting thing about the solar eclipse (non-totality) was how it felt like it was evening, and it happened fast enough I could notice the difference in how I felt…
There are videos of animals reacting to solar eclipses just as if the sun went down. Most go to sleep, like birds and cattle and night dwelling animals start to wake up, just for the sun to turn back to day time mode a few minutes later lol
the juxtaposition of night and day really felt otherworldly at the time. Seeing the sky during the actual eclipse, especially whenever the sun started to reemerge was really something, considering it looked almost like nighttime, while the sun started barring down once again.
Went from watching this series to trying my hands at drawing fakemon. Man the nostalgia is hitting

This series inspired me to do 2 things:
- To start walking everywhere before and during COVID, get some fresh air and clean my head
- To start doing fakemon (to this day i keep on improving and i love doing it)

The Alluvio design is awesome, it’s kind of funny when you realize that Anubis may or may not be Set’s child. Nephtys is the mother but the father could be Set or Osiris
Also I would love to see a Pokémon based on myths video.
I liked the plain walks since it felt more natural and the pokemon made were more like a common pokemon with a good chance to spawn but designed with a lot of heart
Love how you incorporated the idea of the pokemon burning down the abandoned buildings into solemur

Solemur is hands down best fakemon from truegreen7. First of all, im a sucker for anything ghost fire type. Second, Solemur conveys movement and direction with subtlety! it looks like it just burnt down a building, then looking at you witnessing it and just *awkward silence*, Third, i wanna hug it :3
For the fourth Pokémon I thought you would make the teenagers you found as a group like a group of Grafaiai, just a group of rebellious teenage pokemon. That would be a cool idea

Alluvio is so cool. And I love the observations Ron makes while walking. Instead of it being "this looks run-down" it was a description of erosion and how it could be turned into something creative.
I never saw the first uploads of this series, so I'm very happy to be joining you for a second run! This is such a feel-good kind of art challenge, not only does it feel like "if Fakémon artists made pokémon go", but it also has that appreciation to the small things in life, finding inspiration from a leaf you found on the side-walk is so good,,, being able to find the joy in something most people would hardly pay much attention to in a normal day,,, so good, 10/10, love it so much,,,
I'm not all that surprised that there's so many turkeys out and about, it's spring, which means mating season for a lot of birds. Pretty fitting that you made a pre-evolution for your turkey Pokemon, there's gonna be baby turkeys running around soon!

Hell yeah! It's so cool to see you going back to your roots. "Subpar" or not, your walk-inspired videos are one of the main reasons I started following you. Finding inspiration in the mundane AND figuring out how to make it into believable fakemon is such a cool and fun idea!
I love Solemur so much! It’s so charming and weird and the small pupils actually made me laugh when I saw it. And I also love how Alluvio is a counterpart to Lucario where it’s type combination is both weak to and strong against Lucario.
i remember when that second one of the walk ones came out i thought they were real Pokémon at the time and was confused why i couldn't find what game they were from some of the best videos i have ever seen
I really missed the series, there's something so authentic about it, and I find myself looking for pokemon designs wherever I go ever since I saw it. A vote for a reboot!
I wasn't here when you started the series, but when I subscribed I did go back and watched it from the beginning because I do like it a lot. One of the things I love about fakemon videos is hearing their thought process on what inspired them to make those designs and all the little details that come from things you wouldn't expect, and this series was a perfect representation of that. It's really inspiring, so I'm glad you're trying to give a new fresh start, and I sure hope it works.
This series was what inspired me to start my own Fakemonregion. Still remember watching the first episodes for the first time. I didn't expect it to ever come back, but I'm super happy it is. Hopefully it does well enough to become a series again.
And good luck with your wrists. Overworked wrists/hands are no joke and pretty dangerous, especially for artists.
Glad to see this series alive and well. I am slightly concerned however that there's now a demon aardvark entering our plane of existence though.

Dang, I missed this. There's just something about watching people go for a walk in mundane areas that are just different from my own area, which is just so nice. It's the same thing with Abroadinjapan and CdawgVA's charity cyclethon where they bike across Japan and you just see the daily life stuff.

Your first creating pokemon from your walk video is the entire reason I watch pokemon art videos to this day
Find a chiropractor that does soft tissue work on lumbracles, thumb abductors and forearm flexors/extensor. This will loosen up the muscles around your wrists -> decrease inflammation-> pain in your wrists.
This is probably my favorite series you’ve done. Seeing all everything and seeing you explore and using your imagination with the thing around you is so cool

Every single person who asked for more of these could not have been more right. I feel very silly for not being sure if I'd be down on title alone, but I'm so glad I watched it. Your style and skills have evolved since then, you really took the best parts of the original series and just upgraded every single aspect to it lol. Better artistry, better videography, better voiceovers, silky smooth editing. Every iteration of this has been better than the last- I would be very content if future ones matched this one ^^ MORE PLEASE! :D
Poultec also works doubly as a name for what the Pokemon is, not only is it the baby turkey Poult and Aztec like you mention, but it also works with Poultry, the word for bird meat like chicken or turkey, and Toltec, another Mesoamerican civilization like the Aztec.
Glad to see Stoutrot make a return, I remember when you first designed him and love the redesign you did for him and definitely shows how your skills have evolved and changed over time.
Love the idea for Solemur and that it's not just another Solrock/Lunatone Eclipse Pokemon (though those don't really bug me, there's just a lot).
Love the idea for Alluvio, I'm a fan of mythology and such as well, so it's awesome to see a sort of rival to Lucario's Anubis with an Aardvark based on Set. You brought it up in the video, but it would be awesome to see a whole line of Egyptian mythology, or at least mythology in general, inspired Pokemon.
I love the walking series. There's something so nice about taking things we see everyday and incorporating them into this wonderful mythical world of Pokemon
The “pokemon from walks” series is how, I think, I found this channel so I’m so happy it’s back!!
Concept: Pokemon inspired by Holidays
For example a prankster jester pokemon to represent April Fools, or an Irish inspired leprechaun snake charmer to represent St Patricks Day and it's origins.
Obviously bigger holidays can argue pokemon like Delibird as Christmas or Pumpkaboo as Halloween but for the smaller holidays we don't have much and I think it could be a fun concept to mix the modern day celebration of these small holidays to their actual origin.

I wasn’t aware of the channel when this series was originally a thing, but I really loved this. It was very relaxing just to get a nice walk through the city. Big fan.

I really love the variety here. Yes there are Pokémon inspired by things you saw on your walk, but also one was inspired by a Pokémon made in a 4 artists video and another was a redesign of a Pokémon that came from one of your older videos. It would be nice to see this series reboot continue, but don’t force it to happen.

You did a great job of capturing that kind of daydreaming that occurs during adolescence - like you're bored and your gameboy ran out of batteries during a long car ride so you just stare out the window and imagine. Creative and comfy video!

While I can't exactly draw pokemon very well I did come up with an idea based on day 3.
Ecrowsion - The Rust pokemon

Corrosive touch (poisons any rock
Or steel type pokemon that makes physical contact)
Ecrowsion spends most of its life flying even learning to take air naps as it is afraid to touch down in fear of causing more damage to the environment or other pokemon.
I’m so glad you brought this back, even if this series dies again after this video. That series was very nostalgic to me, it was one of the things that inspired me to do art and really got me into Pokémon more than I already was. I’m crossing my fingers for this series to continue! 🤞😄

6:57 for me, as a Dutch person, it's pretty normal to see that many flags, especially around the end of the school year. This is because obviously a ton of people graduate around this time and it's also because of the birthday of the Dutch king, which is on the 26th of april
What I apprechiate about this series is not just how it shows that you can find inspiration literally around you if you just keep your eyes open, as someone who isn't from the US it's super captivating to watch someone just walk around a neighbourhood in a country that isn't my own.
Hope this video does well. I would love to see you create pokemon from walks and traveling again; it was really relaxing and inspiring

I'm loving this new intro, and THE SERIES IS BACK
Wrist pain sucks, I've been dealing with it for 18 months now thanks to by IT job. Same thing as you, nothing shows on x-rays or the like. Some things I was advised by my physio and that worked for me:
0) If any of my advice contradicts your doctor, listen to them, not the rando on the internet.
1) Pain in your wrist can be caused "upstream" when a nerve gets pinched in your elbow or shoulder. In my cause, my shoulder. When you get wrist pain, try this: touch your fingertips to your shoulder then, slowly but firmly, make as big a circle as you can with your elbow, rolling your shoulder. Do this clockwise and counterclockwise. One of those directions might cause your shoulder to pop and crunch and afterwards you'll feel less strain on your wrist. If this is the case, look into shoulder exercises and support.
2) When your wrist is cramped or stiff, apply a heat pack. When it's swollen and inflamed, apply cold. When applying a cold pack, have your wrist above your head so blood flows out of it even more. (I have not yet figured out what to do when its both stiff and swollen... wrist pain sucks) Heat packs an your neck and shoulders can help as well, if the problem originates there. Never apply a cold pack directly to your skin, wrap it in cloth first.
3) Get whatever over-the-counter anti inflammatory painkillers you can get over there. Take the max dosage allowed every day for a month straight. Heck, make it two, smother that sob. (in my case ibuprofen 1200 mg per day aka 3x400mg pills)
4) Rest your wrist as much as possible. Pretty hard if your income depends on it, I know.
Ohhhh I remember watching the first "making pokemon inspired by my walks" video shortly after it dropped and loved it!
So I'm happy you decided to bring it back, your art skills have improved SO MUCH over the years and all these mons look awesome!!! 🤩 The vlog-like segments with the footage are so satisfying and I think they make it more fun to watch for people like me who don't have the best attention spans haha

As a welder that looks like an oxy acetylene tank for welding or cutting metal. One way you you can turn those tanks into an oxy acetylene welding pokemon where the tanks are part of its back and a welding mask on its head as a stel fire type pokemon. It can be called the weld pokemon.
I missed th "Making Pokémon from my walks" series"! Honestly I was hoping you would bring it back someday. I especially liked the very first episodes where you just strolled around the neighborhood. Please keep this up!

Ngl, it makes me sad when RUclipsrs say that specific videos have to do well for them to revisit the concept again regardless of how they felt while making it. Like I get it, for a lot of people this is their primary source of income or at least a good portion of their overall income, so you gotta do what pays the bills. But still, to potentially not allow yourself to do something you enjoyed or even loved just because "number no go up enough"... I feel for ya man :C
Kinda glad tech issues made me unable to continue my own channel over a decade ago, because I know I couldn't handle my creative output being determined solely by arbitrary numbers. My motivation and the whims of unintelligible algorithms don't mix very well, I make what I like to make and I can't stop making what I like to make just because other people didn't vibe with it that day or only make what other people like because it "did numbers" for a week straight.
Stoutrot and Alluvio are such successful Pokemon designs. It's hard to describe *why* they look like real Pokemon, but that's what makes them successful in my opinion. They have that "it" factor that most mons have. Extremely well done and I hope to see this series continue!

I always forget that you're from/around Staten Island. It always catches me off guard to see things I've grew up around when I'm not expecting it (the SIRR, the bus stop by ferry terminal at 9:04, Ralph's Ices, all the damn turkeys especially by the hospitals). Reminds me there's still a lot of the island I haven't actually explored.

not to get personal on a pokemon vid or anything but i've been struggling with art block + demotivation a lot recently. lately i've been trying my hand at designing my own fakemon for a project, but everything i make feels uninspired or stale- watching this made me realize i'm probably just VERY burnt out lol.
i might go out of my way to try this some time for inspo, haven't had time to take a break or go for walks in a while. honestly thanks for making this man, the designs turned out great !! :] hope to see more of these in the future
