This isn't really something we'd use but we could see it being a great option for apartment dwellers and people who are potty training their new puppy. I used one of those grass pads to potty train our Boston puppy. I kept it on our patio (apartment). It made our lives so much easier.

This is why I watch reviews. I just remembered that my dog likes to dig in the yard. He is going to dig up the grass pad, drink water, then walk all over my velvet couches LOL

Heads up man, beagles are not appartment dogs. Certain breeds work better in different environments, beagles have been trained for generations to live in big spaced and run a lot. Both you and the dog would have a tough time adapting
If you let them play on this grass pad, they will think it’s playground. Walk them on the leash, than they will pee 🤗
This will work for when it rains and storms. My dog does not like to get her paws wet. Also, she's a night owl and it's not always safe to take her out at 1:00 in the morning. Thanks!

It won't let me click on anything. But I have been DYING for a solution to my situation. I want a dog but I didn't want to leave it home for so long without going to potty. I'm glad I saw this video. I'll try to use the computer and see if that'll work better.

Jessica, I wish this would’ve been around ten years ago instead of my dog using my deck (nice firewood that made 🙄). Very cool idea for training your dog. Better than pee pads. Those smell up your home in a hurry.
These grass things are suppose do really smell
I would put it in front of a window for the sun, and put some potted plants around it 2 create an indoor garden.
I work 8 to 10 hours a day. My dog Snoopy hasn't had an accident in the house since he was a puppy he's 8 now but this would be great to have if he'd use it so he's not having to wait on me.
Same i let mine wait up to 10 hours max if i HAVE to.. and only cuz everyone is pat puppy stuff. But yeah this would be nice for a dog not to have to wait

I just bought 2 potty pads and put them.together. then I bought a lawn chair and a umbrella. I have the best fake dog park in my living room.

So I have a shitzu and a shorkie. I am a sales rep and my husband is a GSM. My husband and I come home at lunch to walk our babies. However, there’s been times where I get home and the babies couldn’t wait. I feel awful every time this happens bc obviously it’s not good for your dogs to have to try and hold there waste. I was going to purchase the pet loo but my dogs would have to step up and I didn’t think that would work for them. This is definitely much easier. Thank you for sharing.
I have a shorkie as well! We are still using pee pads unfortunately because there is no one to let him out during the day. Did you like this product for your pups?

Love those silly Bostons. I used grass sod on my patio for my Bostons, I still use them on occasion as we're on the 3rd story. I couldn't imagine using it for a dog over 25#, it would be a splatter mess.

Do you think this is a good suggestion for someone that has to work 8 hrs but can not hire a dog walker for a mid day potty break? My dog is house broken I’m nervous that she’ll just want to use only this once trained to use it
In my opinion if it’s an adult house broken dog with no health issues, 8 hrs home alone without potty breaks while you work or something isn’t a big deal...

Won’t it start to smell though? How often do you replace the grass? Tbh it doesn’t seem like much a better option than letting your dog pee inside

I figured I just toss it in the yard 🤷🏻♀️... I actually put it currently on our back patio, right by the door cuz it’s been raining and Lila hates going out in the rain.. she’s still unsure about using it lol

How did you get your dogs to start using it? My dog is an adult dog and he's so used to peeing outside that he just plays with the patch
Whenever I want my dogs to get used to an area, I collect their pee and then pour it on their potty spot. It works every time. The hard part is collecting their pee. I use a sponge.
It has to be fresh pee. Some dogs are very picky if the pee smells like ammonia
@@Eli7PM Does your dog like to mark? I find that the biggest struggle is bc my dog likes to mark when he pees and he can't really do that indoors
@@iheartscookie yup! I have two beagles. The older loves to mark. I walk him twice a day, but he still does it inside the house. I have an area where I placed the base with soil and the natural grass.
@@Eli7PM I'm so jealous! ughh my dog has been so annoying to try to get him to pee indoors. I've tried the fake grass, real grass, scented pee pads. He REFUSES to pee inside

I think it's a great idea, but I feel like the dog still know they are inside and resist using it. That would even throw a human off...like a toilet un the middle of a living room. It would be far more successful starting this with a new puppy. Thanks for sharing this product!

I don't think this product would work for any dog that hikes when it pees. You'd need two. One ties into the frame and leaned against the wall, and one on the floor next to it.

Most dogs know not to potty in the house if they can. I know all my dogs will do it outside. When I take them out. They know they are inside the house.
