- Apologies for the video being so bright, composite video is a cruel fate. The Chinese Wii Menu and channels loaded on a physical Wii. Unlike other videos I've done in the past about this firmware, it is now perfectly working like it should. This is all official but was left unreleased, we obtained it through a leak from last year. I will soon make a video explaining it, and maybe a guide so that others can try it out. It only plays Chinese games, which were also unreleased.
I've made a whole video explaining what this is and how we got it:

Around 2007, I was so desperate to get a Wii, but the illegally imported ones were expensive and not localized. I was so hyped when I first heard rumors about iQue Wii and would look up for news and new rumors every day. In the end we got nothing. It was never approved to be released. Such a shame that all work was done and we were so close to get a legitimate Chinese Wii. This system menu even has a fully functional input method!
It does! The Mii Channel does as well. The iQue DSi simply has English so that amazed me o.o
That’s so cool! I’m so glad that the menu has been brought back along with the channels, so that we could see how the Chinese Wii Menu would have look liked if it was released lol
the explanatory videos of this kind, I love it
The Korean version of the Wii’s operating system as well as later models was definitely built on top of the iQue version.
0:41 Disc Channel
0:44 Mii Channel
0:49 Photo Channel 1.1
0:54 Wii Shop Channel 1.0
0:58 The Homebrew Channel
I feel like Wii is the most perfect candidate to be release for iQue China since they can advertise it as a DVD Player if they added the also cancelled DVD support for Wii and Wii Remote was more of a Remote than a Game Controller so that could also help
I like the vid quality, it seems so nostalgic
this is very amazing 👏
Congratulations on 5k subs
The video being very bright is exactly what my TV does. Did you secretly steal my TV to make this video?
I do not even have a TV so lol
Check the settings, if you have a samsung you should disable a specific feature
@@namesurname4666 My tv doesn't have a remote, and I've bought component cables and found a CRT to use, but thanks for the help.
Differences:
-Everything is in Chinese, obviously.
-Disk channel is missing the GameCube disk. (would've worked out for second generation wiis)
-iQue site on warning screen instead of the Nintendo site.
-Lack of Wii Shop Channel, Weather Channel, News Channel, Nintendo Channel, Check Mii Out Channel, Everybody Votes Channel, but not a lack of whatever the heck that white channel is.
...the Wii Shop Channel, you'd just have to update to get it x)
@@LunaCaoimhe it's a stub channel
Eh, it wouldn't last the translation process either as the iQue Wii was discontinued too soon before the plan for a Chinese WSC could surface
There were Chinese Prototype Wiis that had Internet functionality.
This is so fascinating
I've never seen a Chinese Wii menu before
How bro show us a tutorial of getting in Chinese centrires I am really interested keep up the good content 👍👍
It's so cool how the iQue wii menu is fully restored when it should've been lost forever
reminds me of the wii mini menu
omgggg Nintendo really did it back then
I tried entering the url for the iQue health safety site. no luck was achieved thanks to the site being a lost url.
Well the page is still up so you didn't do a great job xp

So in the leak does Chinese encoding exist?
For example is there a way to use an unreleased iso of Mario Kart Wii for China and get it to play?
If you mean if it only plays Chinese region games, yes
@@LunaCaoimhe Do any of those Chinese region games exist post leak?
No
@@LunaCaoimhe So what games can it actually play the ?
@@ZaCaptain1229 nothing, really. Unless you plan on region unlocking, nothing.
