Very well said. It must’ve felt like a long international flight from the Wii to the Wii U for the Pikmin. But for them, it’s business as usual transfering data.
Somehow, this process makes me feel extremely satisfied. Nintendo did a perfect job of making even the simplest of tasks, such as taking data from the wii and putting it into an SD Card, and make it extremely Sweet, perhaps even beautiful, but that is stretching it. I think it's the music that adds most of it's charm.
I couldn't help but feel a bit sad when I transferred my data over. I'm almost 16 so I kinda grew up with the Wii. I had a ton of memories with my cousins on it. Whether it be Mario Kart Wii, Smash Bros. I thank the Wii, DS, Nintendo, and my cousins for that. This animation helped me relive all of those memories...

Playing Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, NSMB Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2...as well as probably tons more. But now, my Wii's passed its prime. The black soft thing around the disk tray fell off a few years ago, so now the disk tray is filthy. I mainly used it for Amazon and Netflix at that point, and now my mother had packed it and its accessories away in a box, safe and sealed. I plan on doing this transfer tomorrow. The data needs a better place to be. And when all is said and done I'll be putting the Wii stuff back in the box - and putting it back in my blankets for the night. This was my favorite part about getting my Wii U back in 2018: transferring my Wii data to my Wii U by using this. Back when the Wii was actually elite, and the Wii U was actually GOOD before the Switch.
Yeah, though I used one of same ones I've always used. I just copied everything out of that sd card to the laptop, formatted it and then had the Wii U do it's thing with the SD card. After I did the whole transfer process, I just copied everything back to my SD card as if I didn't do anything to it.

At least on the Wii U and Nintendo Switch you can do other stuff while stuff is downloading.
I got a progress bar and 2 apps get stuck in limbo for 2 hours when moving data from iCloud
I love how the Pikmin go on a fantastic journey inside your Wii console while carrying all your Wii save data to the rocket which is your SD card and flew to your Wii U console and travel inside your Wii U console to put all your Wii save files to the Wii U’s memory
This song kinda makes me hungry to be honest, imaging myself eating something when hearing this the first time.
Xyaena ???
What...?
"I agree with this guy"
-a Bulborb
This music is so relaxing, i love it. I really wanna find a download of this cus i could _totally_ fall asleep to the music ;w;
BitchDuck this is Some wiifit plus music or some wii game made by nintendo
If we complete our rip, I will add a link :)
This makes me tear up a little
AgentK 04 dssssssssśwqaàgrandma can I play the leaf that grandma can I Brideri that when I can I play the Wii did you guess
Almost 7 years worth of content, mine is Wii from launch day...it lasted quite awhile.
The Pikmin must be very tired!
Why did I get an emotional feel out of this?? Nintendo you're just amazing 🙌
I vividly remember watching this in 2015, didn't even have a Wii or Wii U and it is still giving me a severe case of 1AM nostalgia
They should’ve also included the user’s Mii characters carrying suitcases. 😄
Ryan Swanson That Would be Cool! But what if your character is based on Your Pet?.. Will the Mii character’s Pet use their Uh.. Jaws?.. Paws?.. I dunno..
@@RaeOrRaven Well they don't make animal Miis
... yet!
Oh man, my bad…
@@theopoldthegamer4284wii fit actually had pet miis
I watch this when my medicine isn't working and I need to keep my spirits up.
It is genuinely a joy to watch and listen to.
So if there was a bulborb in the wii or wii u would that count as an error?
I guess.
The bad Nand blocks.
that's actually a good question, maybe nintendo added a special animation for errors where a bulborb chases away the pikmin (for TRANSFER FAILED KEEP DATA errors) or eats them (for TRANSFER FAILED LOSE DATA errors)
@@HarvoSpoon wow tho
Imagine watching a pikmin tripping and drop your data into the void to represent a corrupted file or something
That would be both devastating and kind of cool.
But imagine if it said transferring homebrew channel and all data..
@@reverseshin that would summon all of the ninty ninjas if that was truly the case lol
@@Desilent49 pretty much.
this makes me wish the next console's backwards compatible
9:06 this is the best transfer sequence ive seen yet
better to watch Pikmin move your data rather than seeing a dull screen doing a transfer
Nintendo, you make things better and more interesting
For Those Who Said That The Wii Planet Is The Only "Goldilocks" Planet And The Wii U Planet Is An Sun, You Are Wrong. Both The Wii Planet And The Wii U Planet Are "Goldilocks" Planets. The Gravity On Both Planets Is Normal, The Pikmins Can Breathe In Both Planets, Both Planets Have The Same Size, The Temperature On Both Planets Are Normal, Both Planets Have Magnetic Fields, And Both Planets Have An Regular Surface.
LOL
Wii and Wii U are basically same in hardware,so it makes sense.
Fabio Costa pikmins are aliens also this is Nintendo logic is not something you put in a Nintendo game
But then again, what do we know about the habitability of the Pikmins' normal homes?
They really wanted to make this feel special :D
Your wii is basically just a GameCube after you do this
The Wii End Credits
Goodbye planet Wii, I guess
Royce551 The Wii is Earth, the WiiU is Mars.
And hello to planet Wii U :P
Victor Tran Did not except seeing you here O_O
Fare the well Planet Wii! We will miss you like a hernia (lol)
The Wii U is the Sun
Olimar: We are now commanding Alpha Squad. Please Stand By!
Olimar: All Data is Sent to Cache! Initiating Transfer to Wii U storage.
Olimar: Alpha Squad is now at Bay! Initiating Order.
Olimar: Mission Complete!
I love this update animation. Nintendo always makes interesting update screens that are actually fun to watch
Then the Switch came out.
And now every process is as interesting as staring at a Windows update screen
At least the Switch does it rapidly most of the times, so it's kinda forgivable
@@TheCoder55 Nintendo's soul died with Iwata
@@hydra3693agreed
I love how you can see the graphics improve, especially in the shadows.
The only system transfer that’s not boring
Agree. Imagine if Android transfers looked like this.
So Nintendo consoles are secretly being made by pikmin and when you close the console they take a break?
Yes 😅
All the characters moving stuff is so cool
So nostalgic! I had luckily transferred all my wii data to my wii u before the wii broke. I was mesmerised with this transfer sequence, and thought of it when I watched my 2ds to 2ds xl data transfer sequence. I do prefer the wii's transfer sequence, though since more effort had seemed to be put into it. Good job on this easter egg, nintendo! /i might buy a copy of pikmin 1 because of this./
i miss the old nintendo :(
If it wasn't for the 480p resolution the wii has a very futuristic looking ui and system as a whole
Thank you for recommending this to me in *2023* RUclips, it couldn’t be relevant to me right now
10 year anniversary for the wii u
I literally wish there was a Nintendo switch transfer tool...
i actively went searching for this, because i wanted to see the pikmin move stuff
When I saw this for the first time as a kid, I don’t know why but I cried tears of happiness maybe because of the memories I had on my Wii and how I was starting new memories on my Wii U
Imagine seeing the rocket ship break out of ur wii and breaks into ur WiiU
Is no one gonna talk about that one purple pikmin?
I got my Wii U on 25 Dec 2015 but I didn't transfer and I just started new saves on it. Look what I missed out on.
Do u still have ur wii u? If so turn it on to check to see if its alive
This was my favorite part about getting my Wii U back in 2018: transferring my Wii data to my Wii U by using this. Back when the Wii was actually elite, and the Wii U was actually GOOD before the Switch.
HOLY CRAP!!! THIS IS SO FOKING FRUTIGR AERO! /!!!!!!
Oh my God that homescreen animation with all the tiles. So many good memories
Yeah, though I used one of same ones I've always used. I just copied everything out of that sd card to the laptop, formatted it and then had the Wii U do it's thing with the SD card. After I did the whole transfer process, I just copied everything back to my SD card as if I didn't do anything to it.
Why is this so adorable and emotional? I don't even own either of these systems. I love how it's like the Pikmin have been in your Wii the whole time operating it. Also:
Pikmin, do not move to Wii U, it will fail. Stay on Wii, or you will be forgotten. *All the Pikmin dramatically turn back in the middle of the hallway on the Wii saying the Wii is this way and Wii U is that way*
