    I would get Mofi for the left and a Revel for the right. Best of both worlds!

    I wish you would compare MoFi with KEF R7 Meta. Also $5k a pair at Crutchfield. Also point source. Also 3-way. More similar in size to the MoFi. Soon? Love your channel!

    I would be interested in a comparison to the Mesanovic cdm65, which is $5200 with built in amps and dsp room correction.

    This video could not have come out a better time because I am literally debating on purchasing the 328BE from Revel or waiting for the new Arendal 1528 series or perlisten. Basically something in the 10-15/pair price range for some larger towers, but I may just end up buying the 888 because it’s a 1/3 the price. What a time to be an audiophile!

      The 328be is an amazing speaker. Its only real flaw is not having a thicker front baffle. On sale you can’t go wrong. I can’t speak to the other speakers mentioned.

    It would be great for you to get in the Philharmonic HT Towers for review. I know you got them in for measuring just for the manufacturer.
    But lots of people would like a review of the HT Towers to see what you think of those.
    They are also around the price of the mofi and revel. A bit cheaper
    Great video !

      I was sent a pair to measure for Dennis. I was paid for those measurements. Therefore I will not review them due to conflict of interest.

      @@ErinsAudioCorner then again there are the regular BMR towers. Those would be super interesting to hear a review on. Lots of people say those BMR drivers don’t sound good. But the measurements from others show that they measure super well.
      I don’t know how it translates if something measures so good that it wouldn’t sound good.
      Don’t know if that would be a conflict of interest.

    Interesting comparison. I have the Revel 126Be bookshelves and was considering the 226s since the silver ones are $4K for the pair, about the same price. I have a pair of subs so I probably don’t need the additional drivers but not having to deal with stands may be better. Decisions, decisions.

    • @socksgratecheese
      @socksgratecheese 9 часов назад +1

      The 226s are phenomenal. Their dynamics are incredible: that midrange has super low distortion. The three way design does a really good job of keeping tonality stable throughout the room.

      I have both the revels 226, 126 and kef reference 1 (non meta). All 3 outstanding speakers but with bass management and room correction, unless you need crazy output, there isn’t too much difference in the revels. I would suggest looking into getting a Lyngdorf integrated strictly for Room Perfect or dirac live bass control.

      If they’re anything like the B100 - which I reviewed last year - then it’s a hard pass for me.

    • @billsmith3439
      @billsmith3439 8 часов назад +2

      I agree with you @vvsousa. I have heard both of these, and they are good, but the Revel misses upper end detail and has zero soundstage depth. They are BLAND. The MoFi is a nice and neutral speaker, but I think it does everything a little better, but it's ugly and there are better speakers out there.
      That said, the Martin Logan XTF 100 or 200s would be my pick. They can get a little zippy up top, but they are really good.
      Also the PS Audio FR10s should be cross-shopped as well....and I would put the Morel Avyra 663 up against either of these too.

      The ML has elevated treble by about 5dB. If you like the top end of those speakers then … now you know why and you can shop for speakers that exhibit this behavior. There doesn’t have to be so much division over speakers, guys. Enjoy your speakers and seek out the reasons why. That’s what I’m doing here.

    If someone is using subs I would lean toward the 226be. Without subs, the 888 every time as I think bass is super important. I would guess the Revel is a bit more detailed from where the tweeter takes over, just a guess though.
    The 228be with subs high-passed at 60hz was pretty good. I imagine the 226be sounds almost the same for less money.

    Usually one of the most important stuff about in their cabinet, neither Erin or Amir focused a lot into this.
    People who aren't into measurements tend to don't like Revel and if you see the only guy that do proper cabinet measurements Revel is one of the worst cabinet around this price, their lightweight cabinet with not that much focus in ressonances are just not great.
