Love those old Military equpment. Our military always bought the top of the line communications equipment for the time... I used an R-390 while in the Navy many years ago. Would love to have one now, even if the technology has made the R-390 a antique...
Exceptional ! Far superior to the P.O.S. Green Gear the US Military operates. While in the US Navy we used the URT-23 (HF xmtr), R-1051 (HF rcvr) and the WRC-1 - not for field use and 1970's technology. That gear held it's own with a combination of analog tech and mini-bicycle chains. I'd LOVE to get my hands on an SE-430 !

wow, you shure get excitable over nothing. first of all i said reasonably new and i was joking about the stealing part. but i do know radio eguipment. i was an army CW radio operator for several years and i now own several of the latest amateur radios made by Ten Tec and Kenwood and the companies that make these new radios are the same suppliers to the military. you should not get so excited, this is only youtube and comments should not be taken literally.

it can do AM in CW position, assuming you have an influence on the bandpass
