Flooring the engine while it’s still cold seems like a bad idea, especially on a n55. Still love the video, e92’s are just beautiful cars!
thats the oil temp that you see, before launching it was at around 75-80 degrees which is ok, not ideal but its ok.
@@Jan_Boris yeah I know it’s the oil temp, but still, if the oil isn’t warmed up, how can the engine be?
@@Jan_Boris Oil temp should ALWAYS be atleast 100 degrees before really thrashing the car like you see on the video.
@@mohis5664 depends on the oil ? you dont know what oil he is running , bute yeah at 70 degrees like in the video is messed up especially for the n55 which is top dog for oil problems in all turbo bmws

80 degrees of oil temp is enough and dont kill the engine. I wouldnt do it all the time but the temp was „okay“.
I got a 335i sedan with this motor (also a E9X) and I love this car dearly (despite the headache it has been sometimes). She isn’t perfect but she is mine
I have an e90 too but with the n54. Haven’t had any major issues so far.

Drove a manual with a sports exhaust for 10 years.. solid car.. was 15 years old when I sold it, but still faster than most cars on the road
Had a 13' 335i convertible for about 3 years and loved it. Liked it better than my later M4. Comfortable, quiet and quick. Especially after adding a tuning box. Wish I kept it.
its weird a "lesser" or non M car actually seems better balanced for everyday driving TBH. Reminds me of when i sold my e36 328IS and got an E36 M3. Honestly regretted that decision, as the 328 was just better and more in line with my track skills (sounds crazy today but 190hp is more than enough for 99% of drivers if its in a light car).

@@l-kazak-l not today. Today almost every 2.0L 4 cyl has over 200hp . But 320hp are not slow youre right
@@sefket01 my 2014 2.0L (320d f14) diesel has 180hp, its not too shabby i would like a more powerful car but first i need to get experience as im 17 and its my first car, u can still crash with 180hp and i consider anything above 200hp fairly quick whilst anything above 300hp flies, anything below 150hp for me is slow
@@l-kazak-l I had a VR6 Jetta GLX for my 1st car. 172hp . plenty quick! a diesel has so much torque you are doing ok for 17 my friend!
@@ct1762 i raced a r32 golf from 2005, it only had a better start afterwards it didnt pull away when my turbo kicked in which was very surprising, not sure if the driver was giving the car all it had, anyway they are good cars

love the E92, i have a 2012 E92 335xi similar to this one, only that mine is painted in Mineralweiß-Metallic and has saddle-brown Interior and yes it´s fun even with the 6-speed automatic-transmission, specially when you have paddle-shifters like this one. A very fun to drive car which can also be a nice daily.

I ll never bring them my car for that readon. They don t respect the mechanical parts. I m always checking the temp and oil temps when available during their review and most of them are not at temperature when they drive hard 😅
They drive the cars from The Netherlands tot the German border. In that time, the engine should be warm enough to be pushed hard. If not, somethings wrong with ur car..

@@legioner9 No, those bmw engines run at 100~110°C in normal operating temperature. 75°C for oil is clearly not the right temperature to give a full load on the bearings.
@@2052lt My N47 runs at 97-98 deg. Celsius and it is totally fine to push it after 70 deg. Celsius. At over 70 deg. Celsius you have all properties achieved. It is plenty hot. That is why he pushed the car. So let's agree to disagree.

No wonder that a lot of N55 engines have problems. The real problem I see here is the driver behind the wheel as you watch the oil temp and especially for an car channel
In Germany we say: Ist der Motor kalt, gib ihm secheinhalb.
If the engine is cold, give it six and a half.
That's a rhyme in German.

La température affichée est celle de l'huile. Pas d'indicateur de température de LDR sur E9X

interesting the e92 335 LCI XI model didn't come with dct?
Only RWD had the DCT as an option, this is an XDrive and the only automatic available was the ZF 6-Speed. The DCT makes a huge difference in driving experience.

As other said, you should have left the engine to warm-up before driving like that :(
This is why rod bearings fail on the n55... Because people dont let the engine get upto full temp. You need to let the engoine get up to FULL teml before driving this engine hard

you know the german government is discussing limiting speeds on autobahn and no one in the car community is even protesting this move. I don't understand this. Why do we car people not stand up for our rights??? If they limit the speeds on the autobahn how will this channel continue to exist? At least talk about it

@@bielmelichartes2167 It means warmed up , not wormed up (they dont have worms in the engine). And the oil goes to temperature of 90-100°C without pushing the engine. Do your math and learn
