Hi! My name is Mel (aka) Back from Burnout! And if you’re a reseller wanting to learn how to sell on eBay and how I run a successful eBay business selling second hand items from the thrift store then this is DEFINITELY the place for YOU! On this channel, I upload 2-3 videos a week surrounding topics such as tips for selling on eBay and how to make money selling stuff on eBay. I help you get a better understanding of what it's like being a full time eBay reseller and I'll show you what I do all day as a eBay reseller in my weekly reselling vlogs. And I basically answer any and all questions any eBay resellers may have who are looking to grow their eBay business!
Really good content, Mel. I like that you’re stretching out into these long-form interviews. You have a lot of natural charm and charisma, and I think you can even break out of the reselling space with different kinds of vlogs.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback!
Mel, thanks heaps for doing these interviews with unique re-sellers. It’s not too oftena reseller Video takes my full attention. Much appreciated!
Never knew Mel had a secret talent as an interviewer. Well done 😀👍
An informative interview, Mel. Well done. I'm glad to see you interviewing an Australian reseller. It's a very different market compared to the US market. I would like to see more Australian content. 👏👏
After watching your interview with Technsports I was feeling more inspired to get through my death pile. I was missing yard sales because I had a couple bulk buys (womens clothing and jewelry plus other death pile) that I don't like to list but got a great deal on them and needed to list. Plowed through all of that over the weekend, photographing and drafting 60+ listings (compared to my normal 10-20/week). I was out of free listings for Sept so I posted them all the first couple days of Oct! Already sold 3 items! Allowed myself to go to 2 community sales this weekend and picked up some great finds. All but a couple death pile items are listed now and I forced myself to list the old before I touched the new! Now this week I can work on the items I just picked up (and sprinkle in the jewelry). Thank you for the inspiration to get moving and get listing!
Another informative and fascinating video. Love how you’re mixing things up with your content but still keeping relevant. Nice work 👍
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Such an awesome interesting interview Mel. He’s a nice laid back bloke and happy to share, the convo flowed like two old friends talking to each other rather than a set up interview, very easy to watch and listen to. Loved this ❤😊
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Woke up to see this vid in my feed. Such a great video Mel! Enjoyed every minute. Great footage, great questions and interaction with Jamie. I think interviewing is your next natural progression on RUclips. Just fabulous. ❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much, I enjoy meeting and interviewing people!
My kids love checking this store out in the school holidays! always wondered how it came about - good old Fyshwick!
It's so good! The kids must love it!
I'm in Canberra, I'll have to check that shop out 👍
It’s awesome! If you see him say hi and you saw the video!
Great interview! love the store! you're such a natural Mel! looking forward to more 👍
Honestly such a cool shop and a great guy. Good Job Melons!
Thanks Thom! 🩷
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. HIS COMMENT ON GENERATIONAL BUYING SHOULD BE A HEADS-UP FOR ANY SELLER. I'M 78, AND WHAT WMY GENERATION MIGHT BE NOSTALGIC FOR WON'T BE NEEDED IN THE MARKET FOR MUCH LONGER AS OUR GENERATION DIES OFF.
What a great interview. So inspiring and informative. Thanks for sharing and helping us up our game.
Great interview Mel. So many if the answers were exactly the same as mine. Great to hear we are not alone out there. Keep this up. Love it.❤
I like everything, the music, the collection, the interview... Congrats ! 😃
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching!
Great Vid. I was one of the early adopters of this shop. Was there when it was only one small section of games and they were still unpacking and bringing inventory in !!! It definitely didn't look like a shop then 🤣 But it's been great to watch it grow and go from strength to strength. Love going in to browse and sometimes spend a tonne getting games and LP's. Very nice interview 👍
A mention for your editing Mel 👌 Looks like a amazing store! If I am ever in Canberra I will sure check it out 🎉
Brilliant video, thanks for your time and effort!
Didn't even know this shop existed! Cool interview.
It’s amazing!! Opposite Harvey Norman in Fyshwick.
Awesome interview Mel! 👏 Great job!
Thanks so much!!
Hi, Mal. Excellent, informative interview. Thank you both for sharing your time and passion with us in Wales UK 🏴🇬🇧🙏
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
Really interesting and complements on the interviewing. In NZ we don't have a big enough market to just sell locally on ebay. Ebay is really only for overseas selling. For that reason TradeMe in NZ is a major marketplace online. For Australians, I am surprised that you don't consider NZ part of your domestic selling market.
Good info, thanks for doing this Mel.
Love the interview! Thanks, Mel!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much
Great Episode! Don't forget to say your name at the beginning of your videos! Love watching your content. I found you when you visited Chris! Keep up the great work! Thank you for all you do.
Great chat and interview .
Thank you!
A very good interview, enchanting! An amazing store I'd like to have a look around when I visit the area! Thanks!
Thank you Ian, He is a really interesting guy we a a great store!
Awesome interview...great job Mel
Great interview!, you are a natural interviewer 😊😊
little fun fact: a small band called The Smelly Noodles made a song about the CVCC called Ghost In a Can based on a product of the same name they found in one of the stores cabinets.
Great video Mel and inspirational.x
Thanks so much!
Great video !!! I switched from thrifting to storage units two years ago and best decision of my life 🙏😇
Love that! Storage units are big business!
What a shop 😮nice one Mel really nice man 👏👏
Great video! 100% at 14:32, auctions have been working for me better than BIN even if the price remains the same. It's really interesting to see and helps turn over stock.
Another great interview Mel.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video 😊
I like the interviewing of resellers pretty interesting
Thank you! So many people have great stories to share and there is so much knowledge and experienced sellers out there to learn from
Good thing this store isn’t in the U.S., I’d spend all my eBay earnings there. I like that Billy Idol poster for starters.
It’s an amazing store! Thank you for watching!
His story was so similar to Nic’s. They both started in the 90s selling Game & Watch and the story of the reason why he started the shop is identical to ours! So spooky.
Yes you’re right! Very similar stories! It’s so interesting hearing other resellers stories.
Very interesting video.
, Mel. You are a very good interviewer
Thank you so much!
Great video Mel. Interesting to hear how other people run their business. On a side note you talk about a disc cleaner which we are in the process of looking for a small one but have seen some bad reviews. Do you have any recommendations for one or brand to look at. Cheers in advance and keep up the great work
EcoPro2 is the one I recommend. If you’re in Australia Thom is the Australian distributor.
Thanks for this video it’s a good one ☝️
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
I really liked this video and I have taken a lot away from it - from both of you
Great interview Mel 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I own a collectables store with EBay on the side in Canada and it was absolutely uncanny how similar my answers would have been to what Jamie was saying.
Wooooo🎉
omg I had those coke a cola pants that were hanging up on the wall in the about 1968/69 we sent away for them lol should have hung onto them
Great video Mel. How is your business doing? ❤❤
Working on it. Time to start the listing punishment!
You will be great and do very well
Good luck with your listing marathon. You certainly have a lot of photos to upload. Have you made room for the new shelves yet?
Yeah I guess it's crazy when U get to a point. Got stuff sitting their. Had siting their for 10 year s. In boxe s not sold. When do much stock geting all the time.
He's right. Old doesn't mean rare. I have 100 year old stamps that are worth 5c
Rest interview Mel.
Thank you!
