Hold up a second. These girls are part time students, CEO/founders of a million dollar company and also very talented ice skaters and they are 15/17 years old. I feel very motivated at the moment
Danielle Andrade it’s not self-made they had plenty of adult help them with their initial finances and register the company and pull in designers and store deals and advertisement etc. They are amazing and I also started my business at a young age (17) but to present it as self-made is just dumb. None of us who start a business during our teens just start from 0% we come from something and build from there (stable or stable enough home to be allowed the time to put into a business idea, financial support to start off or and network connection to get you started or devices to find a network/investors, money to put in on phonecalls to people to get things going, money to register it, someone to tell you how to do the financial aspects of things with taxes and receipts unless you hire someone which you can do if privileged which these teens are). They are middle class teens with supporting parents emotionally and financially in the initial stage. People should stop throwing around self-made on people who haven’t made it from the start on their own fully. They just had to keep pushing the ball that was already given to them. Then also add the space you need to experiment (they had the entire basement to play around in) most teens have a small room or they share a room with a sibling. And Kylie is not self-made either she comes from parents who are millionaires both if them with an extensive network and her mom made phoncalls to have other come in with their degrees to put together the products with her name on them etc.
@@soilgrasswaterair why are you hating on these children for earning their own money? From what you're saying, nobody is truly a self made millionaire. Let them be
Thank you girls for such an inspirational story! I wish I had been that fearless in my youth. I am now 65 and became a published writer at 59 and an organic gardener at 60. My two published books led me to public speaking which I discovered is my real gift. I started writing a third book last year but health problems got in the way. However they have led to a desire to start a You Tube channel, podcast and blog this summer, with the basic message of how to overcome rejection permanently as well as how to heal the nervous system and subsequent mental health issues without drugs. Both topics have come from personal experience. My teacher in high school told my parents that I was a late bloomer, but I would get there in the end. Watch this space. 😊
“If you have some influence in this world I think it’s important to use it for good.” Wow these girls are so mature and driven. These are real self made business moguls. Good for them!
melzappy you only get to know they started the business in their basement. First of all hpw many teens have the space to use as their ”office”?! Then add they are not financially independent at this stage they started more likely than not from money they were given from their parents/relatives. They are middle class. These teens aren’t self-made, they came from a home of privilege. And to set it up as a company you need more money, and to register it you need things a teen doesn’t have. It would’ve been lovely to hear the ENTIRE story of starting up not just vague talking avout it and it wouldn’t take away the reality that they are very talented!
soilgrasswaterair yeah I definitely think it’s important to note they come from a place of privilege. But I think it’s also necessary to understand that having a foundation of a healthy home, and parents who are willing to contribute does not take away from the fact that these girls didnt have a family legacy that immediately put them at the top of the market. They had the tools to make the road there easier, but they didn’t get to skip the line and go right to the front. And I think it might be safe to assume that investing in that office came after a certain amount of revenue and profit. I may be wrong of course. But most likely being a middle class family alone can’t afford such luxuries. And of course it takes a large sum of money to take a company from the grassroots level, to being competitive in a market, that’s why investors exist. But the point i think is the fact that they did have those grassroots, instead of having instant empire based on a family legacy that has already created an empire of their own. I think it can safely be said that this falls under the category of self made. And if being middle class is the reason why someone can’t be self made, then only people who are low income would be considered to qualify for that title, which I don’t think it’s correct
melzappy you’re right they did expand as the demand grew. But you can’t start a business from 0% of finances. Their mom is now the CEO which says something too. Instead of this intense focus around self-made it could’ve been a lovely story on how healthy and supportive parenting allowed them to make a business out of their hobby. They said they played around at first and then made 100 bath-bombs they sold and then the following year they increased their sales and so on before the business man came in with his ALREADY up and running company and invested in their product and more stores took them on etc. As you may notice they didn’t drive a company from the ground up they had steady investors along the way that eventually provided them with a financial platform so they could make the mom the CEO etc and stand on their ”own”. With all of this said it’s nice to see young people with dreams and a strong ambition and they remind me of myself when I started my business at 17. Even though ut came from money saved up from weekend jobs since age 13, I’m not self-made as a business person because along the way family supported it and allowed many things most parents would not allow such as moving away from home and be trusted to do school and work etc without parental supervision. Self-made doesn’t mean you don’t come from a family with an established business, it means building it on your own and these two teens didn’t do that but they are very mature and are doing an excellent job and it’s nice to see they are encouraged to keep their school friends and not go full throttle into the business and lose their childhood/teen years in the same swoop.
soilgrasswaterair Of course, you’re right, no one can start a business from 0% finances. That is literally impossible, for anyone. Which is why investors are necessary when you can’t meet the demands of your growing product. Having investors does not take away from something being “self-made”. Again we can debate the use of the term forever and go in circles. But I think there may be a misconception as to how the world of business works somewhere in what you’re saying. Having people invest in your company does not take away from the self made title at all. Investors are a natural part of business if you want your company to continue to be sustainable. If anything, the fact that they needed the help of investors proved the fact that they did not have sufficient funds from their parents to have their company grow. And the mother being CEO says that the girls who started the company are still children. And can’t be CEO’s themselves since they are teens. Don’t think it says much more than that. Regardless of the debate of the term of “self made”, we do agree that these two have accomplished something impressive. And whether there’s agreement or not on what we “self made” it’s cool to see such young women be successful in the world of business.
melzappy no, it’s not impossible to start from 0%, which makes it *self* - made! They didn’t have a sidejob and pulled their finances together they started with their allowances and money their parents/relatives had given them and got to expiriment within a large space etc provided to them by their parents’ economy! And notice how people invested in their products in *their* already existing stores?! They seem very grounded and like good business people, and it’s great to see they seem to genuinly enjoy it! What they needed to know about running a business isn’t them 100% which someone who is self-made has to read up on and make sure to know. They did this as a hobby next to school, there is only 24 hours in a day so leaving out all the adults who put in their time to start their business is failing the title this video is laced with. They say it themselves ”our parents have been so supporting we wouldn’t be able to do this without them”.
They're probably kind people. Also, the mother is the CEO if you saw her title at the beginning of the video. @@alaurahwillow155 it can. but that one is not 50 dollars. lol
ilikemonkeys It still wouldn’t cost that much. You don’t need to be a millionaire to own a decent skate ramp.
@@alaurahwillow155 inside your home office???
ilikemonkeys Yes. My neighbor had one in his garage when we were kids and his family isn’t rich 🤷🏻♀️
Wow I am impressed and as others have stated, I am happy to see they are staying grounded and have some humility.
i love these 2! and so amazing that they also donated to good causes ♥️
i love this company and buy their bath bombs regularly- they always smell soooo good and have a little surprise inside (typically a necklace charm)
"I am a self made bussiness woman"...
excuse me kylie what?
Fantastic for them. Very simple and easy to make. They're lucky to have those parents.
Omg I have seen their bath bombs at target! I didn’t know they made them!
Young people are fearless because they have nothing to lose. Good job girls.
This story us amazing, however, it's hilarious when they said the parents were always so supportive, I thought, "well of course, they don't have to work 🤣"
So well spoken for their age
The question is can they beat Kylie Jenner for the worlds youngest self made billionaire 🤔🤔😂
@lynn latt that is true😂😂
@lynn latt how self made can a ten and 11 year old be? Keep the same energy
Prob not
Kylie isn't even self made. Thousands of people donated money to her so she could get that title.
She is NOT a billionaire. It's all smoke and mirrors.
Wow i'm impressed! it really takes an IDEA and a START to do something unbelievable like this
Amazing what you can accomplish with well-off parents.
WOW! These girls are so inspirational!
They’re set for life financially
Everyone complaining about the earth bombs and plastic - just stop. These girls are doing what they can do, which is donating proceeds to organizations. What have you done? This is why people don't help each other. As soon as someone finds out about it, they get criticized. Why not be inspired to do something yourself instead?
sisters: When we where ten and eleven we started our buisness
Me: When I was ten I made mud pies...
LITERALLY
It’s funny because I have never heard of them...
I have heard of the company but not them.
meanwhile me and my sister cant even have a normal conversation without biting each others heads off.
Ugh sameee😫
This Is Amazing. Congratulations Girls ! What An Awesome Thing To Accomplish At Such A Young Age.
“SELF MADE” kylie listen
Loved watching this. Well done to the girls.
I actually use this company and I was like "OH MAY LORD I have never seen something this good!" When I first tried it
My friend gifted some of these bath bombs to me and they are amazing! They smell amazing, look amazing, and unlike other bath bombs, they don't leave little chunks at the bottom of your tub that can clog your drain. When it all fizzed away I was left with a cute donut key chain. These really are da-bomb. :D
Step 1: Take skating lessons to disable fear receptors
It's so nice to gain knowledge from younger people too. I'm so proud of and admire this part of the gen Z population. 👏💕
now this is what self-made means!
Love it! Super inspiring as a new bath product maker! My daughter had the Elsa bath bomb and loved it!
this is amazing. I work at Target, and I see these bath bombs all the time. Never knew the story behind it. awesome!!
This is amazing people really can do ANYTHING they dream of if they put their mind to it
Congratulations on your success girls!😊
These young ladies and their family are amazing 🤩
Bravo Girls ! Am so proud of you soooo much 😍💗 am starting my small bath bombs this month I hope I can make it grow bigger 😌🎊

Wow these girls are doing great. 20 million, got there own business at such a young age, good for them. Such a simple idea can make you so much money, cool!
This inspired me to save up for my café!
Respect 💯 hope they are doing well during these times, as well as all of you🙏🏽🖤
Great job girls, how amazing and inspiring!
I got one of these bath bombs as a gift and it smelled sooooo good. Definitely recommend getting it.
i love this so much!!! btw my mom is the co founder of take 3 and was really happy when you guys took part!💕💕
I’ve been using these bath bombs for a while now and it’s so cool to find out how it all started especially by people near my age
There are sooo many variations of bath bomb companies out there...I wonder what the unique qualities are about theirs...
That they started so young I think...
Their origin story which is why investors invested and why larger chains bought in.
But will it last or just be a brand that just fizzles out? It's easy to make and imitate ..
Why would someone not like this video? It’s amazing!
