Been watching plenty of westerns such as hell on wheels, and it really is amazing how some of these cars came out. Id be happy to live in one as a home if im being honest. Kinda wish we never advanced past the train.
Cars like this had decades of service to a small number of people. Thanks to volunteers and forward thinking folks it has now had decades more availability to a multitude of people. Capitalism made it available to the rich. Generosity and philanthropy have made it available to all.
Why can't we get that kind of craftsmanship and quality material today?

I can't wait for the return of the train. It started in Europe already because of environmental reasons which means it'll come to America shortly.
