I remember when I was prescribed Metformin because from that time on I kept packing on the pounds, even with a major dietary adjustment. 🤦🏻‍♀️
I also had a lot of weird side effects from it. I took myself off of it after 4 years of trying to keep the weight down and tired of feeling foggy and sleepy all the time. Soon after the weight starting dropping off of me and I'm still losing. I'm also on a keto diet but that's my personal choice. It helps me to not have cravings for carbs and sweets like I was before while I was on metformin.
I'm feeling so much better and a lot more energy. I'm not advising anyone to do what I did because that was my own choice. I just felt something inside telling me what I needed to do for me, but I am much healthier now and actually excited to see my doctor at the end of the month and get all my results. Last time I was in she told me to keep doing whatever it is I'm doing because it's definitely working.

YES!!! I encourage you to find my post and read it . I LOVE What you said, yes, always hungry on metformin. I too am feeling so much better OFF of metformin. The brain fog was HORRIBLE, And I have had the BEST SLEEP since getting OFF of Metformin. I was chronically tired with that metformin and never really slept well. My life in the last 10 days changed because I am off of it. I too started Keto/Carnivore....yes cheated a bit, but am trying not to. I eat right and I feel good, and am sleeping the best I have slept in over 14 years. Great Note you left

If I were you I would post what you said here in a POST All on its own, and see if the Doctor here will reply to it. Also, I WOULD Talk to your OWN Doctor about it.

No issues with my kidneys my last eGFR labs was 86. My last H1AC 5.9. My total cholesterol 156, LDL 86, HDL 46. I also eat mainly protein and fats very low carb and no sugar. I also alternate fasting to keep my body from getting use to it.

I am type 2 . By taking metformin, I reduce my average glucose by 20% and cut my glucose swings (low to high) in half.
I also reduce my 24 hour insulin by 20% and my fast acting by about 75%.
It reduces my appetite, anxiety and helps me sleep.
Metformin isn’t for everyone, but it’s a good fit for me.

Good day Dr. Ergin, I have been inspired by your content regarding Diabetes. In fact, I decided to reduce my Metformin by supplementing with Berberine. I have been able to drop from 4 Metformin a day to two and am taking Berberine two times a day. This has been very promising, up until February of this year. Suddenly, my glucose readings have gone up from an average of 5.6 mmol/L to 6.7. I still am convinced that Berbernine can keep me on my mission of maintaining 5.6 or lower, but I fear that the type of Berberine I am taking (Nutrali - 1000MG) doesn't have the powerhouse combination of elements as your product. The sad news is, I can't order from your website as I live in Ontario, Canada. Do you have any suggestions on a product that comes close to yours that will help? I appreciate you for all the great information and look forward to your further videos. Regards, Eric
