Festival performances do not usually have such high production values. They do not normally have the level of effort and intricacy as tour performances. No one prepares 8 months for a festival set. Beyonce brought a stadium/arena tour level show to a festival. It was unconventional as she said. What she showed at Coachella was at the level of her tour shows. Excellence.
LOVE this and I must bring up the Frank Ocean Coachella headlining situation. Mind you, I adore Frank Ocean and he will always be one of my favorite artists/musicians of all time. However, the lack of professionalism after seeing this documentary and seeing what this woman put her body through post-pregnancy to give us a perfect performance?? It just puts everything into perspective.
I googled it and Google said there was 125,000 in attendance at Coachella when she performed. And 458,000 viewed simultaneously online across the globe.. and london had 40k
Ppl underestimate her SO much! They forget that she is a classically trained singer 💯💯 I LOVE that opera part leading into "I Care" I get chills every time ❤❤😱
When she says not a conventional festival performance... I think it's because even for a headliner, typically they will have the longer time slot and will have a lil bit more added to their set. Maybe more pyro, lighting etc. But she literally built a pyramid to hold her dancers and band. Also the runway that leads to her second stage which mirrored her Formation tour she had prior to this. Most performers would have brought a DJ or a band and just performed their hits. She went a thousand steps more.
I'm now curious: when did they build the second stage? Right after the previous performer and had to move all the people out of the way or did they build it in the morning and every artist had this extra stage space because of B?
Best performer of all time. Best performance of all time. I tried to get tickets to her renaissance tour for my city but it was literally impossible. I don't think I'll ever get to see her live but I hope she does another documentary for her Renaissance tour like she did with Beychella.

i swear after watching homecoming in 2019 on netflix, it turned me into a beyhive and i’ve loved beyoncé deep since! still can’t get enough. i also found out about a lot of music that she made that i’d hear on the radio! i had no idea she had made the songs and i’d always go like “woah her voice is fucking amazing” to find out it’s been beyoncé the whole time! i would see a lot of post about beyoncé too but my mind never clicked. im glad my mom sat me down to watch beyoncés homecoming with her and my god mom lol
46:00 Micheal jackson and Beyonce are both virgos. Virgos are notoriously known for being perfectionists you cant deny their similarities! I literally think they are the male and female versions of each other and their perfectionism is why theyre so great
in the studio version of Mi Gente you can hear Blue Ivy answering. Beyoncé says "Azul are you with me?" Blue says something like " Oh, yes I am". I think Blue is the reason Beyoncé did this remix, Idk if she asked her mom to do it or if she just loved it that much and Beyoncé did it bc of it, but it's that "thanks Blue" kinda situation 😂
Solange is Beyoncé little sister. Fun fact Solange performed at Coachella years ago and Beyoncé dances with her on stage then. And now Beyoncé shared the stage with her as well 🫶🏾
The significance of the last song is she remade a classic for the black community. The original is by Frankie Maze and is called Before I let go. It’s played at every cook out and a lot of times played when the cook out is winding down. I cried when I heard she did this. It was such a awesome show. Glad you enjoyed it.
The beautiful thing about seeing Blue throughout the doc watching BTS and in the crowd is that she's now performing with her and doing her thing at like 10 years old. Full circle moment
Watching this again but through this reaction, literally reminds me why Beyonce is the greatest female performer of this generation to ever grace a stage! It’s not even close, her impact, her vocals, her stage presence, her creativity, her effortlessness is forever unmatched. Give me 100 female performers, and I’m giving you Beyonce every single time. No question. 👑
I can’t wait to see her August 24th!!!! Renaissance…. I’m going to pass out!!!! I’ve literally watched homecoming so many times, so to see your reaction now is dope!
emphasis on ‘Radio say speed it up I just go slower’ because when artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc are doing Pop/EDM, Beyoncé released her 4th album “4” an R&B-heavily album, despite of her releasing an R&B Album during EDM era and got leaked a week before the official release, her album still went #1 on BB Hot 200. 😊🐝
it’s really kind the way you apologized even though you didn’t had to! we all know how life is and sometimes we can’t ignore the rest of the world and the worries that comes with it ♡
The first part with the guys steppin' is a VERY important part of HBCU and black fraternity and sorority culture so many of them have probably been steppin' since childhood. It's an important part of African American culture in general. Just like the majorettes and drumlines. She recruited from HBCUs for this performance because that's what she wanted to showcase to the world, a culture that is so important in African American culture but to her as an individual as well. So once I heard the theme of this Coachella performance bring 'Homecoming" I knew exactly what type of experience it would be and anticipated certain aspects of homecoming weekend at HBCUs. You should watch some videos of homecoming weekends at HBCUs and the history of HBCUs. Life at an HBCU is unlike any other college/university experience.
The horns and drums at 54:12 is a Fela song. Felt is a Nigerian legend and artist. Beyoncé draws a lot of inspiration from him, and it's such a cool thing to see.

Solange is her sister and she's a singer too. Her albums tend to be far more critically acclaimed then commercially successful. While R&B at its core her music is more eclectic elements of neosoul, psychedelic, and new age trap. I don't know if she would be your taste, but a reaction of one of her stages would be cool.
125,000 people attended Weekend 1 and Weekend 2 of Coachella that year, so assuming 20% of people were elsewhere during her set, about 100,000 people watched Beyoncé perform on each of her two respective nights - I was in the audience on weekend 1, and it was UNFORGETTABLE.
the song playing during the credits is originally by Maze & Frankie Beverly. it’s been a staple in the black community since the 80’s. she recorded her version a few years back

I think one of the things I love the most is the experience of it all. Not only does she take us on this magical journey but she allows some of us who didn't attend a HBCU to feel that sense of community and love. I'm about to go apply to one b/c the way that orchestra and drumline makes you feel....it has to be felt in person! She is a genius ❤
Man ur fine, people jus get butt hurt over lil things nd looking at ur phone a few times is a very minor thing. U still gve us a great reaction nd u obviously don’t need to apologize for bein a normal person who hz his own personal life. I can’t stand these soft @$$ people who get mad at small disturbances like go pray somewhere nd leave this man alone🤷🏽♂️
Lol I knew people we’re going to give you a hard time for being on your phone but it didn’t personally bother me because I know you have a family and that comes first! Also, the reason why singers take out their earpieces when they hit certain notes is because the earpiece is there to help you hear how your singing and it’s loud. ! It’s pretty much connected to the microphone, and since Beyonce hit a very high note, taking the earpiece out prevents her from damaging or blowing her eardrum out
Discovered your channel with part one and you popped up on my recommended with part 2. I love your reactions and the way you break things down. It feels like you really understand/appreciate the material and it’s importance the same way that I do and I love that. Great reaction👏🏾 also that song was Drake. It’s called Mine Beyoncé ft Drake from her self titled album dope song
Frankie Beverly and maze- Before I let go. Beyoncé covered it but it’s the most important song EVER at a black cookout/event! Have to be played at least 8times and it never gets old!
It was the song she had with drake she just mixed it up super good!!! I literally get up and dance that whole section. I am far from a professional dancer but whew that section from partition til it cut out to the behind the scenes sections you cant tell me im not o. Stage...😂😂😂😂😂😂... i am loving your reactions. Im yelling at the tv telling you WATCH THIS PART !! 😂😂😂. Thank you for putting up part 2. Im new to your channel and i think ill stay! 😉
There was a part in the video where I had a small cut, not normal for my channel as I try to record straight through. I was getting messages from my wife. Post cut I think people noticed my eyes would glance down from the video to look at my phone which was on my desk. I was distracted by what we were talking about. It was just bad timing. A number of people commented on it 😅
Beyonce is so famous for mixing another artist song in with hers 💯💯💯& it be sounding beautiful! I love how she mixed Dawn Penn in with Baby Boy! That's how you NEVER get bored at her shows
Man, Solange knowles ir her sister. She's a great artist too....their music are different. Solange won her grammy's (for RnB song [Cranes in the Sky] in the same night Beyoncé won hers from Lemonade album. Solange has some nice albuns...and some beautiful songs like "Cranes in the Sky", "Losing you", "Don't touch my hair", "Lovers in the park lot" etc. I'm loving your reactions and I hope you understand my English. Hugs from Brazil.
Such an amazing performance and documentary! Not only does seeing how hard she and her team worked make me feel happy but seeing people have a good time makes me feel good! Lord know I wish I wash there but having this is enough! Literally I randomly think about Homecoming here and there. More so recently because I get to see her on her Renaissance tour in September 🤑 Side note: You've got to watch her performance of Ave Maria if you haven't already!!! It's so stunning.
fun fact: she also brought out J Balvin on stage during Mi Gente, its just not shown in the film (i believe he screwed up his timing and came up too late with beyonce singing/saying "where u at where u at"). He is however present on the Homecoming Live Album on Spotify! Im guessing they edited it so it would just come together correctly
Please do "Life Is But A Dream" that documentary that she made is phenomenal! It also gives you a lot of her story from her own mouth and it's an amazing journey I guarantee that you will love it.
Yeah Coachella crowds are Usually large, but it can be hell at the same time 😫, on top of us being in the desert in the heat, the headliner is the last performer so just imagine standing 8+ hours, it was worth it tho
It seems like you appreciate the fun facts and hidden gems of this performance and one of those is that the dancers that performed Single Ladies w Bey are the same two that are in the official music video. THOUSANDS auditioned for that video and if im not mistaken theyre part of her dance crew to this day. And yes, they still do the whole choreography together Editing to add that Single Ladies was recorded more than 50 times from beginning to end bc its meant to be in a single take. In hindsight i agree with Kanye when he said she had the best music video of all time
Don’t worry zee , we got you and we will let the new comer know how u roll ,we appreciate you acknowledging that , about the phone , it’s life , we’re human , shit happens 💯
43:03 "We did things that were very unconventional for a Festiva show" Not only wete they doing te actual fetival, they were filming this very documentary which if it ever been done it probably hasnt been done many times if at all. And having THAT many people on stage as well. She is the epitomy of perfectionism. Has her hand in everything, every aspect of every thing she does. Which makes others around her rise to the occasion and be better.
A lot of the moving camera was very unconventional, too. You might have a stage, crowd, and crane camera. She had cameras all over following, and they had to block it out so the cameras were constantly in other cameras shots. Crazy.
it wasn't until you said expectations ae high right now to the drumline that I realised the significance of them starting with ego. It's the details only Beyoncé would think of that set her apart

Maaaan! As a proud Beyoncé fan since 98/99 I enjoy watching you react to her! I love how you appreciate her artistry and recognize how great she is!
Beyonce is Queen of the music!
It’s an HBCU homecoming theme (outfits, band, fraternities, sororities, etc). Gave me all the feels!!
Lol I knew people we’re going to give you a hard time for being on your phone but it didn’t personally bother me because I know you have a family and that comes first!
Also, the reason why singers take out their earpieces when they hit certain notes is because the earpiece is there to help you hear how your singing and it’s loud. ! It’s pretty much connected to the microphone, and since Beyonce hit a very high note, taking the earpiece out prevents her from damaging or blowing her eardrum out
Ohhhh so cool to know, thanks for that insight! And thanks for the support despite the phone haha
I Care is one of my favorites songs of all time 😍
it's a beautiful thing to see you appreciate and support another culture with such reverence and respect. kudos to you brother❤✊🏾💯
Sir have you never heard Partition before? 😂😂😂 Beyoncés sex appeal is out of this world
Im from Brazil and love watching Queen B reactions, keep doing it!
you did your job lol when it's about Beyoncé we better watch until the last second of it 😂 the credits always got something worth waiting for
Discovered your channel with part one and you popped up on my recommended with part 2. I love your reactions and the way you break things down. It feels like you really understand/appreciate the material and it’s importance the same way that I do and I love that. Great reaction👏🏾 also that song was Drake. It’s called Mine Beyoncé ft Drake from her self titled album dope song
Agreed
Frankie Beverly and maze- Before I let go. Beyoncé covered it but it’s the most important song EVER at a black cookout/event! Have to be played at least 8times and it never gets old!
I Love that Beyonce let the performers have their own personalities shine within the structured routines!!!!
This was incredible as always.
Another concert of hers that was amazing was The Beyoncé Experience 🩷
'Before I Let Go', sung at the end of the documentary, is a classic soul song by Frankie Beverly and Maze.
It is a song with Drake featured at 38:00. It's called Mine it's on self-titled.
I don’t know how many times I played these versions of Party and Deja Vu on my Apple Music, but I’m pretty sure almost as many times as the originals.
Honestly didn’t even notice the phone thing in part one but thanks for that
Lol right? I wondering if he did or said something weird or inappropriate because of it? Otherwise why apologize?
There was a part in the video where I had a small cut, not normal for my channel as I try to record straight through. I was getting messages from my wife. Post cut I think people noticed my eyes would glance down from the video to look at my phone which was on my desk. I was distracted by what we were talking about. It was just bad timing. A number of people commented on it 😅
Beyonce is so famous for mixing another artist song in with hers 💯💯💯& it be sounding beautiful! I love how she mixed Dawn Penn in with Baby Boy! That's how you NEVER get bored at her shows
She also mixed her own underrated song called Standing in the Sun with Mr. Vegas ❤
34:44 the way you acted like you didn’t hear it the first time lololol bc same 🤤🔥
she has so many songs that she does Medleys with little parts of her songs, but yes that was a little bit of Mine (feat. Drake)
Such an amazing performance and documentary! Not only does seeing how hard she and her team worked make me feel happy but seeing people have a good time makes me feel good! Lord know I wish I wash there but having this is enough! Literally I randomly think about Homecoming here and there. More so recently because I get to see her on her Renaissance tour in September 🤑
Side note: You've got to watch her performance of Ave Maria if you haven't already!!! It's so stunning.
Thank You for reacting! Homecoming always get me emotional; to see the amount of work put in and the drive and the freedom and beauty is something.
YOUR REACTION TO I CARE AND PARTITIOOOONNN 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🤣
the transitions are incredible
yess part 2 is finally here
fun fact: she also brought out J Balvin on stage during Mi Gente, its just not shown in the film (i believe he screwed up his timing and came up too late with beyonce singing/saying "where u at where u at"). He is however present on the Homecoming Live Album on Spotify! Im guessing they edited it so it would just come together correctly
Yessss part 2 finallyyyy😩💕
the song after “mi gente” its a remix from “mine (ft drake) and “standing on the sun”. both songs from the self titled album 😙
Shout out to the incomparable Maya Angelou! Her words are always a beacon!❤
I Still Care is my absolute favorite Beyoncé song, and yes, we can feel it with her
Please do "Life Is But A Dream" that documentary that she made is phenomenal! It also gives you a lot of her story from her own mouth and it's an amazing journey I guarantee that you will love it.
Lmaoooo at the Lewinsky part
Yeah Coachella crowds are Usually large, but it can be hell at the same time 😫, on top of us being in the desert in the heat, the headliner is the last performer so just imagine standing 8+ hours, it was worth it tho
Oh wow! That sounds intense, were you at this show???
@@ZeesWorldView yeah the for the first weekend
It seems like you appreciate the fun facts and hidden gems of this performance and one of those is that the dancers that performed Single Ladies w Bey are the same two that are in the official music video. THOUSANDS auditioned for that video and if im not mistaken theyre part of her dance crew to this day. And yes, they still do the whole choreography together
Editing to add that Single Ladies was recorded more than 50 times from beginning to end bc its meant to be in a single take.
In hindsight i agree with Kanye when he said she had the best music video of all time
Oh I was wondering that! Thank you
Don’t worry zee , we got you and we will let the new comer know how u roll ,we appreciate you acknowledging that , about the phone , it’s life , we’re human , shit happens 💯
I'm soo happy I found your channel ❤️
Me too!!
43:03 "We did things that were very unconventional for a Festiva show"
Not only wete they doing te actual fetival, they were filming this very documentary which if it ever been done it probably hasnt been done many times if at all.
Crazy.
To your question about Drake; Beyoncé and Drake have a song called Mine”
250 000 people period. Love your reaction love u from France 🇫🇷
The solange dance was adorable
it wasn't until you said expectations ae high right now to the drumline that I realised the significance of them starting with ego. It's the details only Beyoncé would think of that set her apart
You are human. I didn't even notice you looking away. You are doing a great job. Just wanted you to know that
Thank you. I appreciate messages like these, it means a lot 🙏
@@ZeesWorldViewThe song that sounded like Drake is a Beyonce/Drake song called Mine.
I’ve Been Waitingggg 😝😝🫶🏾
Lemme watch this again as if I haven't already watched countless times on patreon
I was at Weekend 2 (PINK) 🙌🏾❤
you should watch the Coachella documentary celebrating the 20th anniversary of the fest. There is a 4 mins talking about beychella and its impact on the fest and people!
thank you for taking the moment to appreciate Beyoncé’s hardworking
54:00 is a sample of fela kuti's zombie!
I remember watching this from my bedroom and reacting real time with friends. It was amazing!
Yes, it's a song with Drake, Mine from the self-titled visual album BEYONCÉ. btw it's even great content to react
Thanks for your work. I enjoying it a lot🙏🏼❤️
48:29 this is my fav part of the show. So damn good!!!!
Solange is her sister and she’s also a singer as well
Thank you for reacting to Homecoming ! This is a legendary performance that deserves more content and I really loved how genuine you are and how you relate to it !
