I currently a freshmen at Davis and I’ll tell y’all rn, most of the stuff I thought it would take my whole college life to experience all happened within like 2 months. I got lucky and my dorm floor was really social and active. There were nights where the whole floor would go to parties together. If you are worried about “having fun” at Davis, don’t be too worried. It’s not UCSB, but you def get your fix of fun.
what residence building were you in?

You will be fine :)

Thing I didn’t understand when coming to davis as a freshman (25+ years ago). Was what a powerhouse of a research university is and what that means. SO VERY far from a little college, even though the town is smallish. A degree in the sciences or engineering from UC Davis really means something out in the real world
i’m a senior in high school and this video made me feel a lot more comfortable about UC Davis, i’m literally so scared going into the college process so thank you for this calming and positive video :)
I’m so glad!! It’s not as scary as you think ;)
Davis is dope. Very inclusive and everyone is more than willing to collaborate on coursework. Campus is nice and riding your bike around town is sick.
Ben Narwold hmm I had the exact opposite experience lol people in my classes weren’t very friendly or inclusive. I was a transfer so it was even harder to make friends, because everyone had their own groups and cliques 😕
Amber Ali Put yourself out there. Get involved in activities you enjoy and you’ll definitely make some friends for sure. Don’t get discouraged and introduce yourself to people in your classes and people you see around campus.
@@bennarwold4355 Trust me I have tried everything (: but I'm graduating after this quarter so that is it for me hahaha
I am wrapping up my freshman year at Davis as well and I am so sad to not be experiencing spring quarter! I love Davis because everyone is so down to Earth and living on campus is great. One thing that I wanted to point out is although the party scene isn't huge, I partied almost every weekend and it wasn't hard to find a good time going down somewhere. I'm not in Greek life, but I still got into every party so there is hope!
Sorry! Spring quarter is a lot of fun. The weather is perfect and there's a lot going on, especially Picnic Day and Whole Earth Festival!
2004 alumni and I agree with 99% of the things she said here. I really enjoyed living in Davis and miss it. As a Central Valley California native it wasn’t too far from home but the vibe was laid back and friendly. I will say at night you do get the nice smell of cows, especially since I stayed in Tercero, before they tore down the old Soviet style looking buildings. Still a lot of great memories there. Miss the bike rides into downtown on the weekends and to the arboretum.
glad that you are enjoying UCD. I graduated 4 years ago!!! GO AGGIE. I miss bar hopping in downtown on Thursday nights
TANTAN Le mojito night is always iconic
Alumni here. I miss Davis. So thrilled to hear that UCD is working out well for you. People ask me about Davis all the time. I always tell them... "Great university. Even better people."
you’re so cute! I’m a fourth year WFCB major so it’s so nice to hear what you enjoyed or learned 🥺
this was really helpful. I'm 14 and i am really looking forward to go to UC Davis.Thank you for the info tho!
Of course, you need to work really hard to get into UC Davis. Your weighted GPA (including Honors and AP's classes) has to be about a 4.0 or better to be competitive. On top of that, your SAT score needs to be near 1300 or better (1270 to be precise) or the equivalent of a 27 ACT score or better, to have a shot at admission. If your academic stats are nowhere near the average UC Davis student, you could kiss your dreams of attending UC Davis goodbye. Furthermore, you need strong extracurricular activities and have some other factors going your way (e.g. low income, first generation, etc.). Finally, you need to write a very strong application essay or two to help get you into UC Davis. The bottom line is that UC Davis is a very prestigious school but it is arduous to get into. But, if you get into UC Davis, prepare to continue work hard especially if you major in STEM. Good luck, and may the odds be in your favor (Hunger Games reference). FYI, I graduated from another UC school in Riverside with a degree in Economics with a concentration in Mathematics in 2015 and I graduated one year late (but that is common with my UC alma mater). If you cannot get into UC Davis or similar or better schools (in terms of admission standards like UCSB, UCI, UCSD, Cal Poly, UC Berkeley, UCLA, etc.), apply for easier schools to get into like UCR, UCSC and so on. Note to self, my top choice UC's were UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz, but I was rejected by UCSB and waitlisted and then rejected by UC Santa Cruz. But, I was still satisfied with the education at UCR.

Cool video! I'm now even more excited to be studying cog sci at Davis this year.
I remembered Davis give me Energy when I was outside. And I felt something even more Awesome.
I am considering UC Davis as my option as I got in a couple of days ago as a transfer student! Thank you for sharing all the info!!
I’m considering ucd as a transfer student this fall… I would like to know how was your experience at Davis as a transfer student?
I want to go to Davis so bad, but I’m from Orange County and my mom does not want me to go far :( Davis is perfect for me and I would choose it over CSULB and UCSB (My other top choices). I would major in Animal Science!
It’s only an hour flight as opposed to a few hours of driving!! Much cheaper to fly too if you book in advance :)
Been there. Know how it feels. I think at the end of the day, it is YOUR decision. You are the one that is investing the next 4 or 5+ years. You should make the choice that makes the most sense for YOU! I encourage you to make the best choice for you and your family's situation. It's one thing to choose one school over another because of... finances, superior education, better outlook, etc. It's really silly to take UCD off the table because your Mom is going to really miss you because you are not nearby.
Girl I’m like the exact opposite, I would looveeee to go to UCSB
Kevin Bui Tysm! I think I am going to end up choosing Davis :)
Isabella Vasquez Del M If Davis doesn’t work out, UCSB is my second choice!
Coming from someone who has lived in Davis for 17 years if you are ever bored go to Putah Creek. It is very close to the new dorms and is a fun place to hang out. Or if you need a bigger body of water Lake Berryessa is like 20 mins away.
Thinking about where to move for school and this helped a lot, thanks babe!!

Hi! Thank you for the super helpful video!
Quick question: what ‘hard’ classes are you referring to in the final question you address?
Kaitie , chem!
I am considering transferring to Davis my junior year! So thank you!
I just graduated early in winter 2020 and I miss it sooo much I want to go back :(
I love Davis, it felt like home even though I commuted an hour there- EVERY DAY.
But I loved driving.
(Unless I got off around 3-6 pm that was HELLLL)
I want to try for graduate school there, lets see how things go ;^;
wow that's amazing!! Best of luck with everything!
Hi! I’m going to Davis next year as a junior. I’m an international student, and will only be there for a year. I was wondering whether it’s better to live in a dorm or in an apartment off campus. A friend who went last year, also as a junior, stayed in an apartment, and recommended me to do so. I’m not sure what to do, since from what you’re saying it’s a lot easier to meet new people in dorms, but at the same time I like the idea of living on my own. Thanks for the video btw, it was really informative!
I believe they have transfer student apartments! If not find a transfer student Facebook page and you can meet people on there :) I hope this helps a little!
Hey Mario,
I had written out a whole response to you, but then my internet cut out and lost it. Anyways... the short version is... dorms are mostly for Freshmen (at least that's what it was like when I was there). Regardless of where you stay in Davis, you are going to have an amazing experience.
It's probably going to be really hard for you to make/see living arrangements. My recommendation is to talk to your department/program and/or UC Davis Housing to see if they can give you some input on housing for international students. I'd also take a look at "West Village" or one of the other on-campus apartments.
I start at UCD as a freshman soon and I move in Sept 16! I'm super nervous but kinda excited too ;D I'm also in Segundo as well (Bixby) and wanted Tercero at first, but I'm glad I'm in Segundo because I got a double.
Hello! I’m currently a senior in high school. I applied to UC Davis, but if it’s okay to ask, how did you manage to set up a date to move in? Did the school tell you? lol
@@lucyherrera7628 Yeah basically you get to choose your move in date between a period of like 4 days. You choose the day and time. This is after you get your housing assignment which you get I think in August? And then you make your housing move in appointment after that. You don't, unfortunately, get to pick the housing where you live (tercero, segundo, cuarto). I think you can choose a preference, but it doesn't really matter because I know Segundo was my last choice and I got Segundo lol. I know you get to choose a dorm preference though (double or triple. Single is an option but that's like less than 1% of rooms lol) but there's no guarantee of even getting a double-- most people get triples.
@@kaitlyng7850 Thank you for the information! I guess I’ll have to wait until August to make my appointment and all that dorm stuff. I’m sort of lost in the college path but I’m sure I’ll eventually figure it out along the way. I already applied but I don’t what to do next other than waiting.
Thank you so much though! I wish you the best at UCD :))
@@lucyherrera7628 No problem!! Good luck on the whole college app process! I totally understand the struggle and feeling lost. Just make sure you check your emails or application portals to see if you have anything you need to do. Deadlines were definitely annoying! :)

I’m deciding between UC Davis and UCSB. I’m also deciding between an engineering major and a major like neuroscience. At UCSB I was only accepted into undecided, which I’m worried about. I was accepted into biomedical engineering at davis but I’m not sure if that’s what I want, so hopefully major changes aren’t too bad there. I think I’m leaning more toward Davis at this point because I’ve heard STEM at UCSB is a little rough. However I’m also worried about how hard the classes might be at Davis. Anyways it’s really nice to hear good things from someone with a similar background with being into science, from socal, and lgbt!!
Hey! Where did you end up deciding to attend? And how is it going ?
Tbh you'll be too busy drowning in your studies to be bored at Davis lol
Hi, very helpful video ! :) I just wanted to ask, since Davis is like chill we’ll from what I’ve heard, is it difficult to like find fun things to do during the weekends or nights out?
Elizabeth Mendoza no it’s not difficult!
Hey I go to Davis and I’m from LA, so going to Davis was very different for me. You will learn to have fun in a different way if you’re from a big city. There’s so many places and people to meet and explore.
sororities/fraternities have always seemed really creepy, constantly calling it greeklife makes it sound even creepier.
Cool stuff. Your name sounds familiar, my guess is you're friends with some of our student-athletes or something. Keep up the great work!
Tercero had late nights too! :-)
Thank you ❤My daughter is going to apply to UC Davis!
What kind of math do you do in Davis?
Are the teachers good about late work or is it majorly important to get work done in time?
loll i was moving out of tercero a couple of weeks ago and i was looking for my bike . i found my lock broken on the floor
That suckssss
was it hard to get accepted into this school? i was looking into it and it looks like a really nice school. i heard they have a good animal science program
Thanks for this! Coming as a transfer. Is parking for cars an issue there? Also do all professors use + and -?
Mike O. Idk about parking, buses can get you on and off campus so that’s usually easiest and every professor is different so it depends on who you get!
All non dorm students can buy C permits about $45-50 a month, it is very frustrating to find parking!!! I always showed up an hour before my classes started to find good spot. A permits are only given to prof, grad students, and special cases. I find the bus highly unreliable and biking is the best option if living off campus, some apartments even have their own buses to campus like Greystone and such.
Not all prof use + and -, some like to specially round your grade.
Hey. I'm 13 and ever since I was 11 I wanted to be a vet for dogs and cats and snakes and all those but something didn't feel right until recently I always knew I loved the ocean and its animals. Hi, I never really leave a reply on youtube videos but I'm glad I watched this one.
I'm an international student who got into UCD, UCI and UCSC so I'm basically confused between UCD and UCI. (I've applied for biomedical engineering at UCI and biochemistry/ molecular biology at UCD)
Given the current circumstances it'll be difficult for me to be on campus for fall 2020 session and was considering to defer.
Smriti Acharya hmmm I would say decide based on what you’re more interested in because UCI is better for engineering and Davis is better for MCB. If you can pick from there you will be fine. Also I would ask your admissions advisors what they think you should do so that you can still graduate when you want and everything. Deferring might be a better option for the fall.
If you do end up going to UCD we can be friends. I’m an incoming freshman and I’m also in molecular biology :)
@@EmmaBishoff I decided UCD after all! Thank you for your reply:)
@@keeylig4581 That's great, I said yes to UCD too! Hope to see you soon:)

I’ve been deciding to go to UC merced and UC Davis,
However I already have a guaranteed admission for UC Merced, and I know it isn’t easy to apply to the UC’s overall. So my guaranteed admission is a Win-Win, and is rare.
Unfortunately, I want to study between veterinary science and linguistics (to learn more languages) and Uc merced doesn’t have these as majors (I doubt it)
they have a lot of social sciences though, but UC Davis has all that I want to do😞😬
But I’m also thinking of studying in UC Merced for 4 years, then applying to UC Davis later on in the future.
I think it would increase my chance on being accepted to UC Davis if they were to see I graduated from UC Merced. So I could wait😁
Got accepted and I’d love to go but I don’t think I can afford it since I’m out of state :( thanks for the video :))

I’m an incoming freshman. And I know things will be different since covid. But how is dorm life. What is it like at the dorms (bathrooms, food in dorms, ect). And how is the weather at Davis during the fall.
Dorm life is awesome and super annoying at the same time, but I would say embrace it because they are some of the best memories of college. The bathrooms are one of the worst parts but you get used to it and food can be a struggle but that’s what the DC is for! There’s also a little market at every dorm community that has snacks and meals and drinks. The weather is awesome in the fall it’s warm and slowly transitions to a cool sweater weather. I love it!!
Emma Bishoff why are the bathrooms bad ?
Jay Tiemann it’s annoying because there’s no privacy and you are sharing toilets and showers with other people and idk it’s just kind of gross at times or inconvenient
Emma Bishoff thats for every dorm?
Thank you!
Do you remember an inflatable, alien, kidnapping costume during halloween?? That was me aha

Is UCD still a suitcase school where many students go home for the weekend since their families are in the Bay Area or Sacramento area thus limiting weekend campus life? It was like that when I went there many years ago.
actually yeah
I am making my college decision soon and i have to choose between UC Riverside and UC Davis. I am majoring in Psychology. I have no idea which to go to.
hi! i normally don’t read replies or even reply to them lol but i go to UCR right now and i like it but i think davis has much better education and you’ll get a better opportunity in that area. When i was in middle school I lived in Davis and i love it and I’m actually thinking about transferring to Davis and also don’t know if I should stay at ucr or go to davis haha! i think ucr is kind of fun too though and i think you’ll have more time to socialize at ucr (idk though since I don’t know much abt ucd).

@@maryamkhawar9120 Both Stanford and UC Davis are on the quarter system, which is beyond the conventional semester system when we were in our elementary, middle, and high school days. hey, how are the science classes graded is there a curve?
does a lot of people get A'? or do they limit to something like 10% of the class?
did you take courses like organic chemistry in high school or close to chem2a ?
excuse me for asking for all these questions , but I am currently going through a tough time choosing my college
julien jreissati there is only a curve in chem I think, I’m not sure how many people get A’s but it is a good amount, I only took regular chemistry my sophomore year of high school. Let me know if you have other questions!!
So curves depend on the courses as well as professors! Just know that teachers are generous, even if you do HORRIBLE you will probably get a C if you at least try. Any early science courses will be hard because you’re just not used to the pace, studying in a way that is beneficial for the class, etc. Everyone comes with different backgrounds and the way to catch up is to not be afraid to go to the resources available such as free tutoring, office hours and talk to your peers! Wherever you go, it will be pretty similar! I would base your decisions on other aspects :-) If you’re premed you should prob check the clubs and internships offered in each school you’re interested in
The ark is great too

I am not the right person to ask unfortunately I know nothing about it :((
The Com department is awesome! It is especially great if you are interested in research. We have a really diverse faculty with lots of special interests/cool projects. I would definitely suggest the Com department at Davis over the programs at other UC.
Davis is a research university. Unique in the science fields, communications... you can study that anywhere

I can't decide between Irvine and Davis any advice? Electrical engineering prospect.
Edward they’re very different and I would say Davis is much more laid back but Irvine could be more prestigious and have more engineering opportunities...I’m not exactly sure though :/
I’ve also been trying to decide between Irvine and Davis (currently leaning towards Davis) but I’m a biology major. The main reason I’m leaning more to Davis is the biology programs are definitely better than Irvine which isn’t as known for their biology. For you, I would say that Irvine has a VERY strong engineering program as well as a very good location with San Diego, LA, the beach, and many good restaurants around. In comparison, Davis has a mediocre location with Sacramento probably being the main area nearby and from what my sister has told me (she goes to Davis), there isn’t much variety in the restaurants around especially for Asian food. Davis definitely has a more diverse student body tho if that matters to you.
Depending on the type of engineering your going towards, all subdivisions have clubs, sometimes tutors assigned to individual upper division classes, and a variety of places on campus for resources and study spots. I am a chemical engineering major and have been studying at Davis for four years. It has provided me with many opportunities, networking events, and engineering career fairs that have helped me with internships and future prospects. From a networking perspective, having an engineering degree from Davis is much more beneficial than Irvine. I also had to pick between Irvine and Davis as a Senior in high school and I am much happier in my choice now that I am trying to find a full time job.

Hi! I recently committed to Davis but after watching some videos of people dropping out, because it is so hard has made want cancel my SIR. They are also saying it is really depressing, can I have your guyses opinion to these thing ?
Isabel Medina are you talking about Davis or because of the coronavirus?
I’m referring to Davis
They say the school is really depressing in general, and it kinda scares me if the school is actually like that. They say it’s really hard to make friends
Isabel Medina I think it depends on a lot of things...Davis is in general is not a depressing place (in my opinion) and it’s not so hard that I’ve seriously considered dropping out but I definitely have tough days just like any other college student. I would say the thing I love about Davis is that there are SO many resources and opportunities to help and get involved in. Take everything you hear with a grain of salt including me and consider why they have come to their opinions and what circumstances they are in (mental health, financial stress, academic pressure, homesickness, bad friend experiences, etc) really just go with your gut!
I also go to UCD and I feel like it is what you make of it! Just like any other college, you’re going to have tough times with stress and other things but there are so many resources for mental health, tutoring, study places, social life, etc. that tremendously help with your experience. Everyone is going to have a different experience depending on what you do here so don’t let other people’s experience deter you from your decision! I love UCD and it’s so easy to make friends if you make the initiative. I would say ALWAYS put your mental health first because if you’re not feeling okay then everything else will fall apart from there, if you’re feeling overwhelmed please use any resources necessary or talk to friends and try to relax!
Dear respected Mam how much do PhD in chemistry student get stipend can I survive on it
You said freshmen don’t get parking spots but what if I’m commuting. I live about 40 minutes away, would you recommend to just drive there everyday or to stay in dorms?
I was thinking to drive because id be saving money if I stay at home but idk if itll be too tight with time
My advice is to either take CC if you want to save money or if you are able, just live in the dorms. The experience isn’t worth the money unless you stay on campus (this is totally MY opinion so take it with a grain of salt). You will probably spend about the same in gas by the end of the quarter if you commute and you will save a lot of time but I completely understand financial barriers or just personal preferences. From what I saw, the kids who commuted were not able to make good connections and felt that it was the same as going to CC but with huge classes and more expensive.
@@EmmaBishoff thank you so much for your honest opinion ! I’ve asked so many people and they all tell me to do whatever I want but I honestly just need advice. With that being said would you say the “college experience” is worth the money? Or should I just go to csu (staying at home). I’ve never really been much of a social person so I don’t know if I would miss out on that aspect. However most of my friends are going away and I don’t know if I would regret my decision if I see them having more fun (knowing that could’ve been me).
@@lizbeth7660 my opinion would be to do whatever you can afford. The college experience is real and at least for me it was easier to make friends living in the dorms than it is now when I live off campus. It sounds like you know yourself and you know that you would be upset at home without your friends and I think that you would benefit from having your own experience going away from home so you never wonder what it would have been like to live on campus. You can even commute the rest of undergrad but definitely do your first year in the dorms.
So am I more likely to get a Segundo dorm if I request a double?
I got the same question, too
Erin Munz yes!
Erin Munz yes!
When you file to request a dorm they first ask you which dorms you would like to stay. You are more likely to get a double in Segundo or Cuarto but if you request Tercero then you will most likely get a triple. I was in a triple in Tercero and it was an awesome experience, i was randomly assigned roommates and it all worked out well for me.
^-^ Aggies for life!
Davis is dope if you got money. If you don't it's still not bad tho. I had a good time still.

I'm a Biochem major but I'm thinking about switching to Biological Sciences because I heard it's more preferable as a pre-med major. Do you think that's a good idea?
Nhien Nguyen your major doesn’t matter for pre med it’s more about what interests you and completing the pre requisite classes
Pick a major that interests you that you can get good grades in AND that will allow you to complete your prerequisites for med school. Many schools have restrictions on classes to only the bio majors, which can make it difficult to take all the necessary classes, however, so you will need to do some research on your school. They really don’t care what your major is, even if it’s something random like History as long as your GPA and prereqs GPA is solid.
From what I heard, I don't think major is a huge factory. You could major in anything and as long as you did well in per-requisites and tests, you could still make it into med school.
I think it is great that you already know what you are passionate about. I was a little different than you. I thought I wanted to do something in Engineering and Computer Science. HATED IT. If Bio(whatever) doesn't work out for you, you an change your major up until the end of your second year.
With that said... I encourage you to explore everything the university has to offer. Pursue double majors/minors in fields completely opposite of your major. Science. Languages. Arts. Humanities. Viticulture and Enology. Beer Brewing. Whatever floats your boat. Be well-round and have a diverse background!
Me: Degree in Statistics. Could have easily minored in Economics and/or Asian-American Studies. Had so many classes of both that I think it was a matter of paperwork for the minor.
Stick with Biochem if you can. It will prepare you the best for the MCAT, at least from personal experience.
If you had to choose between Uc Berkeley and UC Davis, which would you choose?I got into both for civil engineering but idk where to go.
Manny7423 from what I’ve heard, Berkeley is much more intense but also more prestigious, but Davis is much more enjoyable in my opinion just because everyone is chill and will help you out. Berkeley is a very different campus also so keep that in mind! I know you will be fine either way though since both are great schools!
I chose Davis over Berkeley and I’m loving it. It really depends on what your looking to do and what your priorities are. UC Davis does a lot of applied research relating to agriculture and water, which is super cool. Davis is a much more chill and accepting environment, but at the same time coursework is very challenging and insightful.
Just declared physics and I decided on Davis because of the chill vibe. Berkeley was too urban for my tastes and I loved Davis’s campus. I liked the idea of riding my bike around everyday, and simply didn’t connect with the non-academic components of Berkeley.
Are you allowed to have bird scoots on campus?
Ed I believe so! But I don’t think you can take them into lecture halls
I just got accepted to UC Davis but I’m not sure if it’s the right one for me ;(
Yeah I understand...everyone needs something different but just go with your gut!
I got in too! 1) congratulations to us:) 2) do your research on the programs it offers you for your major 3) compare the financial aid packages because you don’t want to drown in debt! 4) keep on watching RUclips videos so you get a personalized perspective from students who actually attend the school. Good luck to you and I and anyone else deciding on UCD!
Leslie Vallejo ahhh yessss congratulations Leslie congrats 🎊 🎊🎊. UC Davis has my major and everything but it’s just really far away. I’m from south Los Angeles and it’s just a very big step to go into straight like this.
@@whynot4535 I’m from Orange County! Sometimes going far from home turns out to be the best decision you ever made :)
Emma Bishoff that’s very true Emma. Though my cousin got accepted to a school near the San fransico area and were planning on living together for university
Is jump bike kind of like ride share ?
Natalie Medina no you basically rent the bike and it charges you by minute
I'm in 7th about to be in 8th and I want to go to uc davis when I graduate because when I was in elementary school we went there for a fuild trip
I don't know about laying on the grass tho ;-;
do you know anything about the new dc in tercero?
Isabelle Schlegel Navarro it’s called latitude and it’s pretty good!
Latitude is mainly various kinds of food around the world! European, Asian... etc
Latitude DC is 🗑 but the Latitude market is 🔥. Cuarto DC is the best, with Segundo being a close 2nd.
Anyone know what grades you should’ve get from the UK at GCSE/A-Level?
My friend said that you just need C level!
Btw, I was born in Sacramento, people out there, if you meet someone from Sacramento don’t hate on them, just feel bad for them. They’ve had a bad enough life and nothing you do to them will ever be as horrible as living in Sacramento.
Allow me to explain, Sacramento is hotter than most of Texas in the summer, we are talking 116 degree days and so on, there are only 3 seasons in Sacramento.
The rainy season that lasts literally less than a month, and the sweltering hot summer that lasts eleven of the twelve months and somewhere in there when it’s not raining which is always, the pollen and dust season.
So if you meet someone from Sacramento don’t hate on them, just know that they’ve escaped the prison of Sacramento (in 5 years maybe California) and they’ve somehow managed to survive.
I’ve seriously had a friend from the Congo tell me that it was cooler in Africa. This is not a joke!
Haha I live in Sacramento. Yeah, it’s hot as hell. Lots of trees, though! 😅
Do you know how hard it is to get work study?
Yessica Rosales Nolasco I’m not sure but you can easily email someone and ask I’m sure!
Emma Bishoff but premed doesn’t take ap classes right? How did u figure that out?
Olivia Hahn they don’t take AP science courses you’re correct! But some accept English or psych...you have to check each schools requirements though
I like how people are embarrassed to tell the truth, small town in the middle of nowhere, yes it’s right next to friggin Sacramento. Nobody has even heard of Sacramento.....well, nobody has even seen it.
So do you like UC Davis?
Hello It’s me yes!
You can smell the cow poop all the way in North Davis, which is where I grew up.
I know you weren't a transfer! But do you know where the majority live? Thanks!
Most students beyond their 1st year live in on and off-campus apartments. It is a renter's market in Davis. There's a lot of housing supply. For the most part, the closer to campus you get, the more expensive it gets. At least that was what it was like when I was there 7-8-9 years ago.
There are dorms on campus especially for transfers located next to Segundo and the ARC (gym). They are set up like actual apartments and have a kitchen unlike the dorms for first years. You can also pick your roommate or have a random one. There are also a ton of apartments close to campus and even duplexes downtown, I used to live in one and it was a short walk to all my classes and very convenient and affordable.
I'm debating between UCSC and Davis- sigh. we'll see..
They’re super different but both great :)
@@EmmaBishoff Mhm!!! (:
Same
@@Sirfly23 Good luck!!!
Is the majority us students or international?
allsoccer TV I would say US but I’m not 100% sure
Majority is probably US bit there's definitely a big international presence!
Anyone trying to dorm together?
yoo same tho
Same.
wait is the campus reopening dorms for fall??
I love Mandro!
Why do you need a bike with multiple gear?
Because it allows you to go faster or slower depending on the difficulty of where you’re biking since there is an ideal pace that you should be pedaling
@@EmmaBishoff ,my daughter has a classic cruiser. Will it work?
@@bongbongtravels6108 yeah she just won’t be able to go very fast but it’s totally fine a lot of people have cruisers
@@EmmaBishoff cool thanks.
I was accepted for the same major ahh 🙃
Yay!! NPB buds :)
