Great chess content, very informative on what to be looking for out in the opening, I'm currently 1000 rated, and these videos are perfect for helping me understanding the importance of opening theory and how it'll help you lead into the middle game where the tactics just open up for you. Thanks!!
If you pick up from these videos just the thematic ideas of the respective opening, like gambiting a pawn to kick out a developed knight (in this game), that alone already makes you a better player! This idea appears in many gambits for white, or black and is a guide to decide whether to accept, or reject a pawn sacrifice.
Alex I would love if you team up with Nelson and make a video, that will be awsome content! Two great players explaining every step will expode youtube! I love your channel! Cheers from the Netherlands :)
Good morning. I have a question in the Vienna gambit accepted which is after they retreat and you put your knight on f3 they just reinforce the pawn with g5,are there any general ideas for those lines? I see you can sack a knight if they push the g pawn again which looks crazy. I know it’s bad but it can be tricky sometimes.
Good morning mate, essentially just develop as normal. Play h4 if you think it works but otherwise just go for d4, Bc4, Qe2 etc and dominate the centre. Black wastes a lot of time by going g5 but it can workout if you don't watch out for g4 at various moments
Great content! Very informative
Thanks man, make sure you check out the precious Speedrun episodes!
I love your channel. Gonna watch all the videos so I can pass 1200 elo! Thank you for the content!
Awesome man! Feel free to comment if you have any questions in the videos :)
I cant believe these lines are still played at this rating! Great game!
Yeah it's kinda crazy, just shows that the Vienna is ridiculously effective!

Absolutely, openings aren't everything but understanding the themes of the openings you play can massively help your middlegame!

👍Great suggestions and interesting justification to use the Vienna Gambit.👑
Some tricky lines with the Bb5+ stuff too!
Such an easy win over a 1700! Shows how unprepared people are for this Vienna Gambit. Another great video Alex.
learned new line here
Very common line when the gambit is accepted
I’ve won my last 5 games in a row, 3 great Caro Kann games and 2 Bird’s with White
Gotta switch to the Vienna bro 😎 also go to bed after this video lmao
Found another fascinating way to loose another 200 elo today 😍
Hahaha maybe don't accept the gambit if you play e5 😂
Quit telling people how good this opening is. Its my main opening and you are ruining it for me
Don't worry about that lol, it still has insane win rates
Don't worry probably less than 50k people saw his videos about the vienna

Also a sac after 1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. f4 exf4 4. e5 Ng8 5. Nf3 g5 6. h4 g4 7. Ng5 h6 8. Nxf7! with an evaluation over +2.33.
I loved it until everyone started playing d5 after f4
Even then it's quite good imo, the qf3 lines are very comfortable
gothamchess did this first now its just you and 1000 other YTers trying to grift off his coattails
