Alessia, I enjoy how you explain your thinking as you play. It is both entertaining and informative. You are real pleasure to watch. You are much more interesting than many who produce chess content.
Thanks for the entertaining content! I had no idea the King’s Gambit could be so lethal. It’s instructive to see how to punish beginner mistakes, like grabbing the f-pawn too early, holding onto it, and neglecting development.
Awesome content! I love the way you combine a particular opening with kind of a mini speed run where you're hitting different ratings yet maintaining the same opening. In addition to that the viewer can feel your authenticity. Thanks for the entertaining video and various other ideas!
The 1300 game was truly insane. I'd like to see you play against more opponents like that. It makes for good content. I need to study that last game. You're doing a good job👍
I like that you explain your reasoning behind the moves, and if this happens you will do something else etc... Almost clear enough for me to understand I think 🙃 🙂👍
Great video! I ve been playing King's gambit for over a year now and I'm happy to see I have almost the same ideas as you had on these games. I love those aggressive positions, I always became very happy when it works (and even when it doesn't normally is a good game) It brings to open positions where both players get to think a lot and I think this is amazing!
Alessia, excellent video on the King's gambit! Watch out for the modal verbs "don't have to" and "mustn't" in English. "Don't have to" significa non è necessario fare qualcosa, ma si può fare se si vuole. "Mustn't" significa non è permesso fare qualcosa, è vietato. Esempi: You don't have to call me. (Non è necessario che mi chiami, ma puoi farlo.) You mustn't call me. (Non devi chiamarmi, è proibito.)
I have gained almost 250 points since I started watching your videos (in last 10 days). Your presentation style is as energetic as ever and the content is top class. Thank you.
Mi hai fatto divertire tantissimo!😍 Il modo in cui giochi è semplicemente fantastico rendi tutto così semplice… Ma la faccia quando hai perso la Regina è da meme!😂❤️
Great video! Thanks, Alessia - your presentation is both entertaining and really clear on the main ideas (and pitfalls). Look out at Chess Club tomorrow: here comes the King's Gambit!
Oh yeah! Love the King's Gambit. Never had the misfortune of getting into a Muzio Gambit as Black: 4. Bc4 g4 5.0-0 gxf3 6. Qxf3, White sacrifices a knight but has three pieces bearing down on f7.. I got to the point where I always played 2. f4 after a 1. e4 e5 opening - taking an indefinite break from the predictable Ruy Lopez! LOL The King's Gambit is always lively, never a dull moment.
I want to improve my understanding of chess and ultimately my game so I’ve watched a lot of videos. There are 3 personalities I like because they are both pleasant and instructive. I have to say that you have become my favorite… I love your accent, it grows on me and you are Very Expressive and sometimes so funny when you stumble into something and discover it with OOOOO 😮. Its adorable. But also you are Very Instructive and very supportive in actuality helping me see and understand the logic of the game and your reasoning behind each choice of moves. Also you proceed at a reasonable speed. With many of the pros showing you this and this and this and this… all so fast that you know, OK that’s easy for you to say…. But for me it’s like learning about snow and walking into a blizzard… so, suddenly and quite unexpectedly, you are the best chess personality on RUclips. I thank you for doing what your doing and I hope you continue to become more and more successful 🎉
its funny listening to your thought process leading up to the blunder because as soon as you talk about developing the bishop you know its very likely the queen is going to be lost. i guess also you must hold an abstraction of the board in your head. like on your move the queen is safe because of the pin but then you forgot to update your abstraction after the opponent moved their king.
Please make a video on how to improve mid and end game and how should we think move ahead. I learned Italian 🇮🇹 from your video and now this kings gambit you explain each move very well. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Great video, as usual. Was that a Tarantella in the beginning? Ciao! PS. Mia bisnonni sono dalle provinciae di Salerno et di Campobasso. Plz excuse my dreadful Italian.😊
Very instructive video. This opening looks very interesting but you need some degree of experience to play it as in some cases it become very technical . Not sure it is good for people like me at 700 but I will try it. you did a good job by underlying some key aspects of the opening but I believe some of them were ignored during the 2nd part of the video. I think it is very important do understand some key points about what not to do as well to keep the flow triggered by the opening. I probably need to watch the video again
My main opening is king's gambit since last year, my fav line is: e4-e5, f4-exf4, Nf3-g5, Nc3-g4, Ne5-Qh4+, g3-fxg3, Qxg4-g2+, Qxh4-gxh1=Q, Qh5-... However, the opponents are very often tend to decline the gambit by playing Nc6 or to accept and then playing again Nc6 or Bc5
I love Italy, food and the woman, it's my favourite place in the world. I would like to live there. I play the Italian opening but I dont know if I will play the kings gambit. Im rated 2000 + Leo and I like 30/30 time so it will need more convincing
I was usually use _King's Gambit_ because the agressive nature, probably it was my main opening besides _Ruy Lopez_ My advice is "don't use king gambit". No matter how your strategy and tactical is sharp, if black and white play the equal best moves, still white at the edge of falldown. It's force win for black.
i often see higher ups retreat their bishop from a pin, usually on a knight, (without maintaining the pin or taking) saying "the bishop has served its purpose". Any way to make that/those scenarios make sense to an 1100? Bc I've always been taught to either keep the pin or be prepared to take
Every opening is good when your opponent plays very weak 😂 My FIDE rating is ca 1800 and many years ago I played with somebody ca 2050 and I played 2...d5 and after 3.ed5 Nf6 I had a good position. I won that game in end game. When somebody plays king's gambit I play 2... d5. After 2...Nc6 3.Nf3 is also possible for black to play 3...f5 .
22:00 - The Botez Gambit, Very agressive.
9:08 "oh no call an ambulance but not for me" 😂😂😂
Alessia, I enjoy how you explain your thinking as you play. It is both entertaining and informative. You are real pleasure to watch. You are much more interesting than many who produce chess content.
Crazy game #5 was nerve racking.
Botez Gambit at 22:02
Viewer discretion advised
Thanks for the entertaining content!

Mom, can we have Hikaru?
We have Hikaru at home.
Hikaru at home: 27:35
I like that you explain your reasoning behind the moves, and if this happens you will do something else etc... Almost clear enough for me to understand I think 🙃 🙂👍
Love this. These opening videos are great. Would love to see one on KID and Pirc, too.
Great video! I ve been playing King's gambit for over a year now and I'm happy to see I have almost the same ideas as you had on these games.

28:20 wow that was one of the best quick Endgames I've seen
You earned a subscriber based on your great explanation. I am really excited to binge watch these videos.
Ever since I saw the video when it was published, I have been playing a lot of King's Gambit and getting pretty good results. Thanks, Alessia!
Hey great video keep these coming, hope to see a lot more content from you

i've just tried it and this is great, thank you
that reaction at 22:00 🤣👌 thought, I haven't seen the queen in danger too at this moment, so I won't brag myself lol
Girl! That was so entertaining--- and of course, educational!!!! I love it!
My gosh. That game that ended at 28:20ish, WOW!! Very well done, truly impressive
Molto Bene!!! Really enjoyed this video, especially the blunder cause I do it all the time. Thank you!
19:15 - 19:16
I saw the entire video again just to find this "also".
I loved it !!.
Great presentation.
Very informative video Alessia! You are my favorite chess channel!
21:51 and 26:13 , you gave me good laugh! 😂 . I do this a lot by the way. It's easy to forget pieces when we are winning or under time pressure.
Thanks Alessia! I find it enormously helpful to see how you bring about a win at different levels with specific openings. Keep up the good work! ❤
Really cool video. I might need to look deeper into the Kings gambit. Seem to be a volatile but powerful opening
36:22 can someone explain why the opponent king didn't take the white pawn on g7? (I'm new to chess)
I was wondering the same :) it should be an "easy" move no?
I wanted to learn a new opening and now this video is a great start for me to play Kings Gambit.
Very good instruction, especially avoiding early traps.
Alessia, your chess video really taught me a lot, thank you!😊
Thank you for some Idea
Love ur energy 👌
Thank You for your explained how it plays chess. Wow!
I liked watching you blunder your way to victory with the 12m game
Your English is remarkable. KG is my favorite opening. Thx!
I have gained almost 250 points since I started watching your videos (in last 10 days). Your presentation style is as energetic as ever and the content is top class. Thank you.

36:26 why the king didn't take the pawn or am I dumb

Aww thank you so much for sharing this! It made me very happy :) Glad to be a good influence for your chess! Have fun improving!

Your best video! It felt like I was playing! Blundering all pieces 😀
Great video, very informative and fun to watch
You are such a great chess player Alessia
Game 5, Wouh !! 🤩🤩🤩
That was amazing! Thanks.
The way you won the last game was incredible! Good job
Great video great vibe!
Good to see that a GM like you can blunder so badly.
That win was incredible
Thanks you i had a game that went exactly like said thank you ( i even download it on RUclips 😊)
I usually play bshp C4 MV 2 instead of 🐴f3 allowing blk to check, white can't castle but is still fine & the lines are even more aggressive & trappy
This video was really good, thanks!
Great I learned a lot 🥰
Please make a video on how to improve mid and end game and how should we think move ahead. I learned Italian 🇮🇹 from your video and now this kings gambit you explain each move very well. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Game 5 was wild to watch lmao what an ending!!!!
just dropped 40 points with this open
Hola ,saludos desde argentina, gracias por los subtitulos en español,un poco robótico 😂pero la idea es que se entienda 🎉🎉
Great video, as usual. Was that a Tarantella in the beginning? Ciao! PS. Mia bisnonni sono dalle provinciae di Salerno et di Campobasso. Plz excuse my dreadful Italian.😊
In my next game ,I will be playing King's Gambit ..Thank you for the lesson .
12:17 i think opponent is your fan that's why otherwise there is no explanation
21:34 Alessia Blunderamo's coming
Genial excelente trabajo gracias
21:44 I instantly noticed your queen hanging, I tried yelling at my computer to let you know. It didn't work.
The best tutorial I've seen so far.
Blackmar diemer gambit is also very nice attacking opening...
Very instructive video. This opening looks very interesting but you need some degree of experience to play it as in some cases it become very technical . update:won 4 games in a row , wow
ar 12.18, your opponent was on a suicide mission.
Girl playing chess is like wife arguing husband they are always winning 😂
Face at 22:04 just priceless!!!
What happened at 6:40? How did she take the pawn?
I’m also confused
Ok I just looked it up. It’s a rule called “en passant”
28:00 what a win! OMG!
14:16 she said the file a diagonal 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
28:00
What the Capital F was that rule bending move by Black King?
You are great!🙂
My main opening is king's gambit since last year, my fav line is: e4-e5, f4-exf4, Nf3-g5, Nc3-g4, Ne5-Qh4+, g3-fxg3, Qxg4-g2+, Qxh4-gxh1=Q, Qh5-...
However, the opponents are very often tend to decline the gambit by playing Nc6 or to accept and then playing again Nc6 or Bc5
Cool line there!
King's gambit according to David Bronstein, play 3.Nf3 for a draw. Play 3.Bc4 for a win!
I love Italy, food and the woman, it's my favourite place in the world. I would like to live there. I play the Italian opening but I dont know if I will play the kings gambit. Im rated 2000 + Leo and I like 30/30 time so it will need more convincing
can someone tell me what happend at 6:38
? Pawn taking en passant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/En_passant
3. Bc4 is even more aggressive, and likely stronger than Nf3
I would have thought black would have taken the pawn on their second move and not put out their bishop
I was usually use _King's Gambit_ because the agressive nature, probably it was my main opening besides _Ruy Lopez_
My advice is "don't use king gambit". No matter how your strategy and tactical is sharp, if black and white play the equal best moves, still white at the edge of falldown.
It's force win for black.
I like the Falkbeer Countergambit against it
Mmmmm… beer 🍺 🤤
Thank you for the audio in Portuguese
Me: I have three seconds left, I've lost, I might as well stop.
Alessia: I have three seconds left, that means I still have 56 moves. Let's continue!
Guardando le immagini sono riuscito a capire qualcosa
Traccia audio italiano wow!!!
i often see higher ups retreat their bishop from a pin, usually on a knight, (without maintaining the pin or taking) saying "the bishop has served its purpose". Any way to make that/those scenarios make sense to an 1100? Bc I've always been taught to either keep the pin or be prepared to take
On porpoise 🐬 be careful we English made words that sound similar to mess with foreigners
as a person who speak Spanish (1 language) , you English is F awesome!!
22:02 For some reason our brains
always process that shit 0.01 second after the move.
Every strategy or tricks only depends on opponent moves nothing to say that's a perfect 😊
I've played king's gambit over 20 years
what if they move their Queen first to H4 before you deploy your knight??
When comes the video with GoChess board?
Queen is free cheese macaroni today 🥳🥳🥳
very nice so cool , i lovely your face in gambit :)
*King's Gambit FTW!!!*
Every opening is good when your opponent plays very weak 😂 My FIDE rating is ca 1800 and many years ago I played with somebody ca 2050 and I played 2...d5 and after 3.ed5 Nf6 I had a good position. I won that game in end game. When somebody plays king's gambit I play 2... d5.
