Get two sub frame extensions welded in first to stabilize the chassis and then complete trunk and floor sheet metal might save this. Expensive but a nice project.

had a 69 firebird conv with a junkyard 350 put in it . . . traded for a 75 gran torino sport - put a 351C 4bbl in it and painted a red starsky stripe over the stock black . . was an automatic so it never really got abused. your 68 is bad - but save it anyway.

LOL did you even watch the whole video? The rust was very extreme, however the top was just fine and worked perfectly when we got it back. Fire him? You think we get paid for doing this? LOL. Unfortunately in our state you can't drive (haul) a car down the interstate with pieces of convertible top blowing at other peoples cars. Don't you think buying the car and safely extracting it from 20+ years sitting in water and mud IS respecting it by saving it? Thanks for your input though and thanks for watching.

Wrong motor, That's a Olds motor, not a Pontiac. First thing to do is get the VIN number to PHS and find out what it REALLY is! Well worth the money to find out. Might be a real 400 car ! with a 350 hood. A Factory Red & White 400 convert is a pretty rare car.
