    thank you so much for being the internets only source for any information on how to make custom algorithms. the manual doesn't even cover it well enough

    Got mine from Elliott Rubinson (Thoroughbread @ Converted Kapok Tree Clearwater. now Sam Ash). He was quite a guy, people person. Had NO idea how to do anything and never got back to ER... and along the moves lost the manual So I do appreciate your posts! Thank you!

    Holy crap I coulda used this 2 years ago when I had one.I never truly figured out how to do alot with this thing. I was able to tweak the presets that's about it. I miss my old 2101! thanks for the video though, better later than never.

    Thank you for uploading this. I just picked up a 2101 (artist upgrade) and I'm not real good about reading manuals so this was a BIG help!!

    Hey hows it going? Hope all is well. I just wanted to THANK YOU for taking the time & uploading this video. I just got a 2101 & it is KILLER! Some of the BEST Sounds/Tones I have heard in awhile. I have a few ADA MP-1's & I think they are great but the 2101 is definitely more of what I was looking for as far as FX go Etc. At the moment I am just messing around with the factory patches which is a breeze but I knew you could do so much more with this unit & you Sir have showed me the way! (LOL!) Thanks again hope you still have your 2101? Take it easy..LONG LIVE THE M-E-T-A-L! \m/

    This seems like I'd spend more creating patches than actually practicing and playing. Kinda complicated, but the sounds I've heard make it seem worth it.

    this is great especially since just yesterday I decided to get one! could you make some videos talking on how to set different effects? I know this unit is VERY deep on options but just a little walkthru with tips on how to use them?

    Will do...as soon as I figure out how to connect the damn thing to my PC!! I have a MIDI in-out on the front panel of my Soundblaster Audigy 2, but I've only used the Audigy to record and transfer audio...I'm not sure if it will transfer data like sysex files.
    Guess I need to try it, but if it doesn't work what hardware interface would you recommend?

    How does this compare.to the digitech valvefx ? You'd have to be familiar with it to understand what a great machine it truly was, but still I would like to no its comparison cause my digitech valvefx was like 30yrs old and now I'm looking for similar equipment can you help?

    Hello Friend.
    My name is Fernando, I live in Brazil.
    I have a channel here on RUclips that talks and shows the effect rack units.
    Your video here is excellent explaining how to program an effects chain on the GSP 2101.
    I would like to ask your permission so that I can make a video with your explanations, but with new images and in Portuguese, so that people here in my country can understand.
    Will you allow me to use your idea?
    Cheers.

    Lungfixer:Hey There.
    I suspect you need to run the wet dry mixer at full wet to get what you are after. Why not just run the mxr infront of the pre amp? Time based means audible repeats like a delay pedal I would think. Could you not just set up 2 sounds as you like one with the MXR and one without and switch between them? Set the ramp times to something suitable and I reckon it will be fine.

    I'm not a PC guy but I got one for the Mac for £40, plugs into the USB, from DV24/7.

    Is there a tutorial for uploading pre programmed patches? I have a hundred great custom made sounds but no clue how to transfer from my computer to the GSP2101.

    The display of my Digitech 2101 is fading. This has to do with the valves?

    So I can have my chain in any order? Reverbs before modulations?

  • @Jraax
    @Jraax 12 лет назад

    I never said I downloaded them from the unit. I received new patches from another source and wanted to load them in. I don't know how to transfer them from my computer. ie: What type of midi device do I need to communicate with the GSP?

    Hi, is it possible to program two delays with different settings, one going to the left output, and the other to the right?

      Jean Kabeya
      Yes, there are factory algorithms that can do that.

  • @rexxmichaels

    I got one used & the left output is really weak & has a crunchy sound. Any ideas?

    Gotcha. You will need a computer and some kind of midi interface and a program like sysex librarian if you are on the Mac.

  • @LondonGuitarTeacher
    @LondonGuitarTeacher  12 лет назад

    If you managed to get them out of the 2101 in the first place, you must know how to get them back in, just do the sysex dump back in.
