Views & Queues FAQs
Where did you get that Royal Caribbean scratch off poster? We make it and sell it ourselves on Etsy! Here’s the link: viewsandqueues.etsy.com/listi...
Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. You can find these linked in our Amazon storefront: www.amazon.com/shop/viewsandq... (Full disclosure, these are affiliate links. It costs you nothing more, and we earn a small commission.)
What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal.... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.
Where did you get XYZ clothing item, Kerry? I do most of my shopping on Amazon and you can find those items linked in our storefront here: www.amazon.com/shop/viewsandq... (Full disclosure, these are affiliate links. It costs you nothing more, and we earn a small commission.) My sunglasses are a mix of Knockarounds and Blenders. My luggage is Bric's by Ulisse. Those fun flowy pants are from Shein. Other than that, it’s usually TJ Maxx, Kohl’s, JCPenny or Old Navy.
How can we support your channel? You can join our RUclips Membership! You pay $10/month and we upload video content that is exclusive for our members. / @views-and-queues
Will Brian ever propose? He says he will, but 🤷🏻♀️
When you said "we are not drinkers or partiers" I instantly subscribed"
I started with just one Disney Cruise video playlist then all of a sudden im now watching everything you guys have. I love the energy you both have, the honest feedback, the sarcasm, all of it keeps me watching the whole duration of the video. Thanks you for filming so much of your experiences. Hope i get to go down to Florida and explore one of these cruises!!
I’m a corporate recruiter and I always tell my candidates to take extra time between jobs because there is NO better vacation than the one between jobs. You have no work pending your return and no job stress! Congratulations on the new role!!!
This speaks volumes as I am about to do the same thing! I am going on mariner of the seas in two weeks between my job transition!
Yay! New cruise, new video and new weekend
Yes that's the vibe for us too! More relaxed and quiet
Love your vlogs. Thanks for bringing us along! The Allure looks quite nice.
Another great vlog! The Allure is very reminiscent of the Symphony. We went on Symphony in October 2019 and LOVED it!
Thanks for sharing what you do for a living. I’m one of those curious people that loves to know people’s occupations. 😆
I'm going to be on Allure in 17 days! So excited to see a sneak peek.
You two just crack me up and bring me joy🤗🥰
Awesome series guys! And from one aspiring RUclipsr to another, great editing too! We're actually sailing in a Aqua Theatre Suite on the Symphony in April, we can't wait! Thanks for sharing your adventures!
The videos are great. Allure is our next ship and you have us excited now.
Great video. Love that balcony. Looking forward to St. Kitts, not many vlogs for that island. A suggestion, you may want to put the date of when these take place in the title or description.
i love watching you guys
Loved Allure and Harmony!!
Lovely video, we just got off the Jewel of the Seas two days ago and had a blast. We ended up booking the Navigator of the Seas for next year in April half way through are first RCCL cruise. We are super excited. Hope you had an amazing time on the Allure.
My sister in law swears the secret to the cash claw is to do it the first night because they would want you to re-spend the money back to the ship. Lol
Loved the video and so interesting to see where you have been as I was on the same cruise😊👍🚢
I'd really love to see you TWO out in NYC one day to visit the REAL central park! I know that would be a GREAT vlog!!!!!!!!
Yes interior balcony that's what we have for liberty!
Loved your video. I found you because I am going on Allure in September. LOL I chose the Allure pretty much the same way you did. I make a list of the ships and what they offer and the ports and then decided on Allure for this trip. Thanks for the tour of what is on the ship.
The disappointment of the non glass elevator.! 😂😂😂 Y’all are so cute! Going on Allure out of Galveston in Dec 22. We also have a boardwalk balcony. This was a great vid!
Haha non glass are almost unusable! Hope you have a great cruise!
Really loving your channel. New sub and your content is informative. Love the short and sweet intros too.
Another great video! I've got a Central Park balcony room booked on Allure and now I kind of want to change it to a Boardwalk balcony...
Love it! You keep reminding me I have to book another cruise. ☺️
it’s always a good idea to book another cruise!
We love stateroom 12729, that’s our go to room! 😀
Omg I stayed in that exact same room on Allure a month before you guys 😂. Definitely the best view ever! Being able to watch the aquashow from your balcony is worth every penny
I’m glad Kerry loved her first Oasis class!
That’s insane you had the same one!
Going on the Allure in December. Your video was super helpful
“Bigger than the pool on the Scarlet Lady” now that is a good cruise joke!!
Lol I love the reference to harr travel and how the safe isn’t big enough for a laptop. That room is great! The view is way better than a junior suite. Love the videos!
so glad you appreciated the harr travel reference!
@@Views-And-Queues Yay! Also, new channel?
Can't wait to cruise!!! We're doing Liberty on less than 30 days
Omg omg we just booked it!!! 😍
Wow! I’ve never noticed there is no abyss slide on the Allure. I’ve watched many Allure vlogs and my mind is blown -how could I miss that.
~Inge 😺
Recently found your channel, subscribed, and have been binging your videos - now I find out Brian is a FELLOW FULL SAIL GRAD!!! Entertainment Business '11 here! I knew there was a reason I liked you guys :)
Great video, I think your videos get better every time. I have never noticed how much you say "cool," so don't sweat it.
Yes the hot tubs when the ship is sailing
Very COOL vlog! :-)
Lol that's how I feel about Cozumel. Almost every single ship goes to Cozumel I'm over it haha
Great video!
Along with counting your "cool" quota, check on Brian's "like" quota! too funny!
That’s a really COOL video 😂
The roast beef sandwich from Park Cafe is a Kummelweck. Named after a Kummelweck roll which is from Buffalo, NY. I love them!
Every time I hear the intro music it makes me think of Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride from Lilo and Stitch.
Nassau is amazing if you go to Atlantis! That sounds like a great cruise, lot of good destinations!
Cool.
Omg we booked the same freaking room!!!!!!
Hey! Just heard you say where you went to school and my grandson is going there too! Very same career goal too!!!
great video
Omg omg I was on this ship!!
Thanks!
No, thank YOU! :)
I’ll be on her next Saturday 🥰
I will be sailing on Allure on the first sailing out of Galveston November 9th 😍
I looked at those rooms on Symphony but the slide put me off. Good to know Allure might be a better option for this cabin class.
love your videos! what are the necklace pouches you’re always using?
We are looking into this ship because of y’all’s vlog! What a wonderful room. Was there a lot of movement in the aft of the ship? I usually try to avoid the aft, but that view! Hard to beat!
With a ship this large, we didn’t feel any rocking specific to the aft. We had a cold front at the beginning and end of the cruise that caused some minor rocking that we felt through the whole ship.
dying to see ya'll do a virgin voyages cruise!
we will try it eventually, but we have a lot of other ships higher on our list right now
Kerry, please let us know how you get a different “snuggle” blanket every trip? I love it! Please share.
Haha we pack it from home. We try to have a different one each time 😆
So you guys are aware: When Oasis had its remodel, they put in a candy shop the exact kind that Keri(sp?) describes.
Really enjoy your channel!! Question: What do you two wear around your neck? Phone / room key holder?
If your cruise is closed looped you don't need a passport however its highly recommended because if something happens and your stuck on that island you'll get home easier with a passport
I'm new to your channel..like it by the way..me and my wife plus our 13yr old granddaughter are going on the Allure in July would you suggest the room you were in.. looks nice
Hahahah that's what I do but these next 2 we booked them because we didn't want to buy a plane ticket we wouldn't the price to be cheaper. So we're leaving out of Galveston. But it sucks because the ports
We just booked Allure for this summer! (early - June) How far in advance do you reserve your dinner places/shows etc/ Rewatching all these even tho we saw them before! Congrats to you both and enjoy!
Yeah on Harmony we like didn't feel anything. It was wold because those waves were insane, well most insane I ever saw! Like huge but we didn't feel the ship moving
I have been on every cruise in the world
Love watching you cruise. Thanks for sharing. Question. How was the can water? I ordered for my Alaska cruise. Thanks.
+1 I was wondering the same thing. I also ordered the water for my Alaskan cruise, too.
the can water was good! we brought the extras home, and when we drank them we felt like we were back onboard 😆
there is a airport/cruise parking lot that buses people to the port.
i legit just got off allure of the seas!
Glad to see you still on your "cruise-crusade"! :) I finally managed to go on a cruise this last Januari, after 1000+ days since the first one back in 2019. It was preceded by a 11 hour flight but SOOO worth it. I can now check off Harmony and Oasis. So still got Allure, Symphony, and Wonder to do. :)
Flying in from overseas I got in a day before the cruise. That meant i had to take my PCR-test less than 20 hours before I taxi to the airport. I finally got my negative test answer less than 7 hours before I got into the cab. Nerve wracking!
The middle pool in the solarium is the best. Its quiet and seldom crowded. Its a great place to chill out.
Lookin forward to the rest of the view and queues from the Allure!
One of these days we are gonna run in to each other and then the Lava Flow's will be on me!
PS "The hot tube shoots off the side of the ship" Really? It sounds like an epic ride, but how do they get it back onboard? ;) DS
Jacuzzi is a name brand.
Just wondering, what is in the black pouches around your neck? Great videos. Can’t wait to see more.
I was wondering the same thing. I’m thinking they have microphones because their voices are very clear throughout the vlog. Id love to know what microphones if any they’re using
Nothing to do with cruising, but since you live in Orlando, have you heard of the group VoicePlay? They are an acapella group (think GLEE but way way better). They sometimes perform at Disney Springs or Disney World. They have a RUclips channel. Before the pandemic, they did perform on cruise ships out of Port Canaveral.
Your is so amazing thanks for taking us along
I wish y’all had been on Wonder of the seas for a couple reasons.
1. Y’all seem pretty cool to hang out with
2. We were in an aqua theatre suite!!! We used the heck out of that balcony😎
I cant remember which ship has samba, the solarium turns to the samba grill at night and it's Brazilian steakhouse. Its called Moderno on Norwegian.
Sorry I comment as I'm watching so you'll always get like 20 comments from me lol
When did y’all go on this cruise?
I didn’t realize allure didn’t have slides 😱
One quick question: how often do you two cruise? Like how many times a year?
we did 5 in 2021 and will probably do 4 in 2022
Where did you guys port from?I like to be in Allure of the seas.
We tried Celebrity recently and loved the “older” vibe. Will y’all ever try Celebrity?
Celebrity is on our list!
Where do you guys recommend to park at Port Canaveral?
we park right in the Port’s parking garage closest to the ship
If you're a game developer you must play games... what do you play? I'm a big gamer so I'm very excited to hear what you play if anything
I thought I was the only one allergic to avocado. Sucks, cause guac looks so yummy, but don't want the after effects.
Me and the wife will going on a cruise on June 19th 2022 and we will be on the allure of the sea.
When is your next cruise you both will take
Hope you have a great cruise! Our schedule is always up in the air but hopefully soon!
One quick question
What's is the the black pouch around y'all's neck used for?
When you guys say you post to a Facebook group like when you drop the poster in places, what group? I've tried finding groups for cruising on Facebook but they are majority Crew members or about cabins etc. So unsure what groups I should be joining!
usually if you type in the date of your cruise and the ship name there are groups :)
@@pinkducks778 oh gotcha
Does she do any freelance work? I suck with ads!
Looking into my first Royal cruise. Do ya'll have a favorite class or ship?
Allure and Odyssey are our favorites so far. Both are so good it would be hard to pick between them. I would suggest doing Oasis class for your first Royal cruise though
@@Views-And-Queues we have Harmony scheduled for September. I was hesitant about such a large ship, with so many areas. But my wife was all-in. I probably would have chosen Mariner. We will going out of Port Canaveral for the first time, so near ya'll. Cheers.
Hey, I was just wondering why you don't like Nassau? Thank you.
We like it, we just seem to go there every cruise and would rather visit new ports
@@Views-And-Queues Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it as I'm planning on booking our very first Royal Caribbean cruise for 2023 and have obviously never visited any of those destinations. I was also wondering if you could let me know your thoughts on cruising the Bahamas in December? It seems that most people tend to travel around March/April but unfortunately we can only travel Dec/Jan but we'd still like to see sunny blue skies and swimming days? Thanks again and enjoy your cruise!
We’ve cruised in November and January and have had great weather! We would definitely cruise in December
FYI - You say "like" a lot too!
Wait did you guys not get a Gus?
Didn’t get one on the first day :(
That’s a lot of money to look out your balcony to see another balcony.
What how did you win the cruise? I never see those.
the casino will just deliver a certificate to you if you give them enough action
@Views and Queues ah spend lots of money lol? But that's cool!!!
The donuts are... eh
How did you guys like Allure? What is your favorite ship?
We loved Allure! It’s frequently in conversation when we try to decide our favorite ship! I think Odyssey may beat it by a hair, but it’s a close call.
@@Views-And-Queues we still have yet to do a Quantum Class but we need to try to find one with an itinerary we haven’t done yet
R you a diamond in royal caribbean cruise
Does Brian pay for all the cruises
we split the cost 50/50
Sabor is an overpriced taco shop. I love me some tacos, but there’s better ones back home in Texas.
