We would love to have the cookie thing but it contains hazelnut and Brian is allergic. It sounds amazing though and we still almost order it every time, we feel like it might be worth dying for 😆

You’ve just had your first scotch egg! Didn’t look like the best example but sausage meat around an egg is a scotch egg. I was on the Wonder in May and that had smoking in the casino so I’m guessing it must be ok in the med. We are doing this cruise next September so thank you for your insights

Anthem must just be fantastic for a Norway cruise - I did that route on MSC Virtuosa in July which was excellent, but I'd love to try it on Royal! Which Fjords did you guys visit?
We use a DJI Mini 2. I love and would definitely recommend it! One of the things that’s great about it is that it’s very light, so there’s a lot less drone rules you need to worry about. For example you don’t have to register it if using for non commercial use, and there’s a lot less rules on where you can fly it. It’s also pretty easy to start learning how to fly it, plus I think the video quality is great for the low price.
After watching your videos, my husband announced he will be picking up extra shifts at work so we can do a Norwegian cruise in the middle of next year. Where do we start with researching this? I’ve only been out of the country once and my husband has never been out of the country!
We would probably start with going to the Royal site and looking at what the options are for Norway. But just a warning for budget planning, our flights were super expensive and was actually more expensive than the cruise fare. Also we would recommend looking at Alaska too, as it’s a comparable experience at a much lower price, and much easier to get to Seattle
I'm surprised you two recommended getting the Key since so many of the perks are similar to what you get at a high loyalty tier. If you're already planning on buying the high speed internet it makes more sense, but why would you buy multiple internet connections when you can just share one connection?
How did you guys transfer to and from the terminal in Southampton to the airport? Assuming you flew into Heathrow. What time did your flight depart returning to the US and did you feel you had plenty of time to commute?
Yeah we went through Heathrow and booked a car service online (London Minicab Service) before our trip. It took about two hours to get to southampton in the taxi (we flew in the day before) and on the way home our flight was at 1:30p and we had plenty of time. We did get off the ship as quickly as possible and had good luck with traffic and it only took about 1-1.5 hours
This cruise we had a “Spa Junior Suite” Also known as a category J4 Junior suite. This type of junior suite set up is only found on Quantum Class ships and it’s our favorite
For us the key isn't worth it, even getting internet. So surf and stream right now for 1 device which is all we need is 99$ (19.99 per day) for the 5 days whereas the key is 270$ (27$) per person per day.
It must not be mandatory for a pilot to board since on rare occasions the pilot cannot board due to rough weather but the ship is still permitted to dock if it's within safe limits I've never heard of a port being cancelled due to a pilot not being able to board. There was also a sad story of a pilot dieing during the transfer between their boat and the ship. A sad way to view this is that local law contributed to their death since the role is advisory and the ship could have safely made it without them.
For this Norway cruise, what’s something you didn’t pack that you wish you would’ve packed, and what’s one thing you did pack that you wish you hadn’t?
We actually packed just right. We did pack a lot and actually checked 3 bags. Because we had great weather we didn’t need all the rain gear, but you never know with the weather. Don’t think there was anything we needed and didn’t have.
