Admiral Piett have beaten the system. Why did he tell him to not message him until the emperor informs it when he never said anything about contacting him?
It's hard to say who is right in this. Luke is a huge problem Vader needs to get rid of, but also a Super Star Destroyers is at risk. I think Piett truly was trying to do right here, but ultimately I think Vader should've been able to get Luke.
Uh.....no and yes. Yes, he should have been allowed to continue as Luke was a threat. No, as, this was not too long after Hoth. I actually look at Hoth now as a Rebel victory, simply becuase the Imperials didn't actually meet their objectives, as in capturing the Rebel high command, Leia, Luke, Han, Cewie, and anyone else who was at the battle of Yavin. The Empire was still reeling from the destruction of Aldeeran, people were torn as Papatine couldn't say, "It was all on Tarkin" that would make him look weak, and in cannon now, Palpatine gave Tarkin 'free range' on which planet to destroy first. If the S.S.D. was lost to the Hutts, it would mean open war with them. Would the Empire win? Deferentially, even the Rebellion disliked the Hutts, as well many others. It would have been a free for all. Would loosing the S.S.D. be a politically nightmare? Absolutely. Another super weapon to 'keep the Imperial citizens safe' lost, and once again becuase of the pride of one man, Vader. It would further shatter the already destroyed image of the Empire in many citizens, who would rethink the cause of the Rebellion.
"I bet this left Admiral Piett shacking in his boots." I actually disagree, as he was the only one smart enough to do, what the two (Ozzy and Nida) before him 'should' have done..... go tell dad (A.K.A. Papa Palpatine) on Vader. He actually did right, if he lost the battle, Vader never took personally responsibility, always blamed his officers, when 'he' should have personally overseen any operation in the command bridge as, technically, Vader that 'the' officer in any situation, after Palpatine.
Piett knew what the right thing to do was respect that he acualty did go agianst vader comands in a way to get someone even higher in the ranks then vader
Did no one not even Emperor Palpatine tell Little Admiral Piett that snitches get force choked in his Empire and that’s if he’s feelin generous shocking I know
That was a great issue.. I think In Canon admiral Piett seems to be the the first officer to have the balls to open a com to Papa Palps!
Daddy Palpy
Piett did right. Darth Vader be having that tunnel vision. 😂
Can you blame him lmao 🤣
I’d imagine Vader and Piett had a LONG talk after this!

A long talk with vader is preferable than a short one..

@@madisonatteberry9720 to quote Anakin from the clone wars: "If by success you mean, 'I won' then yes."
@@arielwilson9293 Then there's that.
Luke probably goes straight to Yoda after this

Piett was terrified of Vader, he would’ve pissed himself at the thought of crossing him
