Shusha Resounds.. (Aria Torkanbouri 2021) - Öst Ensemble (NMGCS Competition 2023)

"Shusha resounds.." was composed by Aria Torkanbouri in the year 2021 in memory of the great Azerbaijani composer, musicologist, music theorist, and publicist Uzeyir Hajibeyli (Üzeyir Hacıbəyli). This piece is based on motifs and themes from several pieces and musical works by Hajibeyli. A list of compositions has been included in the video. This piece has received the "Uzeyir Hajibeyli" award as a finalist group in the "NMGCS International Composition Competition I (2021)" in New York, USA. The video recording that we are publishing here is performed by Öst Ensemble in Vienna, which was also the third prize winner of the "NMGCS International Composition Competition III (2023)"
