Stugna-P just has to become a massive export-success for Ukraine after this war. This thing is amazing for its price. I wish the Ukraine industry the best for the future, they have very smart people, some of the best people the former USSR had are in Ukraine
what do i love about the stugna is the fact that it is a bit higher tech (but less pen cap) than the kornet, western countrys can get their hands on this hardware at a acessible price, the BGM 71 is very fancy and easier to use by less trained personal but it's decently expensive.
It's 1950s tech with an LCD screen. It works, but it's not revolutionary.
@@donwyoming1936 well so is the kornet and BGM 71, why fix what ain't broke right? the kornet is just a bigger konkurs and the new variants of BGM 71's just swap the giant PCB for a additional shaped charge for the tandeem effect.

Judging by the footage of the Stugna's optics these must have been very far away, probably close to the max range of 5 km.
Because that was most likely maximum zoom and still the targets were pretty damn small in the image.
So the optics were at its limits and I'd guess that's the case if the targets are close to the max distance the missile can travel.
Also good to see the system is still being used, that means the missile production is still going.

You're using the wrong name. "Stugna-P" is the Russian name for it, the Ukrainian name is Stuhna-P (Стугна-П) and is named after the Ukrainian river Stuhna, a tributary of the Dnipro.

What is most worrying is that the invaders are able to drive along a road. It is clearly not mined that just shows how bad the situation is. We see most likely just a couple of good hits from many attacks not targeted or missed on the approach.

I wonder if they have improved the system. Because it seemed about half of the missiles fired ended up smacking into the ground short of the target. Might have been a training issue too.
